With this being peak season for parties, I thought it was only appropriate to give a review of a recent experience I had hosting a surprise party for my parents at a hidden gem in Rockville Centre--Cabo RVC! Cabo RVC offers a wide range of party packages with different options and price points, and it honestly feels like no request is too big for them to handle. From start to finish, the team there is absolutely incredible. The owner, Angelo, and manager, Nathan, work side by side with their servers and bartenders to make sure every single detail is perfect and that each guest--from the youngest child to the oldest adult--is happy and well taken care of. What really stands out is how accommodating the staff is, how they go above and beyond for guests, and how they honor multiple food allergies, special requests, and last-minute change of details with such ease and with a smile on their faces all the while. The restaurant is truly run like a well-oiled machine! One thing neither you nor your guests will be able to overlook is the wide variety of drink options at the bar--especially their infamous margaritas, which can be topped with bottle floaters for an extra special touch. Pro-tip: Order the Rainbow Ice Rita... you will NOT be disappointed Moving onto the food--your tastebuds are about to embark on quite the journey! Between the tableside guacamole, hand-served empanadas, crab cakes, coconut shrimp, pineapple chicken kebabs, and quesadillas (just to name a few appetizers), your guests are sure to already be impressed. Then the servers set up the main entrées--in our case, chicken enchiladas, salmon filet with cilantro lime butter, tequila-marinated skirt steak, steamed vegetables, and potato au gratin--and everything was perfectly timed, served hot and absolutely delicious! But wait... there's more! Two servers bring into the room--right before your eyes--the largest paella platter you could ever dream of, filled with crawfish, shrimp, calamari with sofrito, chicken, and chorizo in sweet pea saffron rice. Both you and your guests will truly be in awe of the presentation. Went on bringfido.com and Cabo is listed as pet friendly in the outdoor area. I called and asked if they are pet friendly and was told it depends on how busy they are. It was Friday at 2pm and I asked if they were currently busy I could be there in ten mins. He said They were not busy and I could come. Upon arrival there were five people at the bar and no one in the dining room. Took five mins wait until we were noticed. When I requested a table outside The man who greeted us said "was 95 degrees outside and that they really aren't pet friendly!l" I told him I just called to confirm and the man said "you didn't speak with me!" My dog is ten pounds and is asleep in a pet pocketbook! My sister and I went across the street to Doric and had a delicious classy Al Fresco lunch outside (it was NOT 95 degrees) I'll never visit Cabo ever! read more

Love coming here on Mondays for the early bird dinner special and Margarita Mondays! When it's a beautiful day, I sit at the bar when they have the windows open. They do have TVs at the bar area, I've totally watched Judge Judy while sipping on a margarita - love it! The bartenders are always friendly. read more

I have been have multiple times but recently came for happy hour for the first time ! My friend and I sat at the bar and their happy hour is great, the margaritas were 8 dollars and the nachos which was a pretty big plate was 10. They came with beef, cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo. They had a lot of different offers as well from tacos to empanadas. Our bartender was super nice, and constantly checked up on us. The place is really big, lots and lots of space, great for a single person, to a date to a group, plenty of tables to accommodate. We went on a non busy night, the waiter greeted us immediately in such nice manner, he was very friendly and that always sets the tone for how the night will go. The lights are dimmed, they have colorful party lights throughout and they play fun and hip music so the ambiance is super nice, the place also looks very clean. We ordered some appetizers, the ceviche which was pretty good, the guacamole which is probably the best part because they prepare it in front of you and the guy that prepared it asked us to taste it and tell him what it needed, I thought that was brilliant because everyone has different preferences and what better way to make it perfect for us than to ask us. They gave us plenty of chips for the guacamole plus chips and salsa for the table. I ordered a mock tail, (so for my non drinkers and whomever doesn't feel like alcohol) they had a huge list of possibilities, I went with the mango mojito, if you are into sweet refreshing drinks, this one is for you, it was DELICIOUS!. For my main dish, I had the Birria tacos that came with a broth, and I didn't know but it also came with black beans and Mexican rice. Ima be real with you... skip this dish, there were tacos, yes, were they birria? Yes but were they what birria tacos we supposed to me?... absolutely not. I am Mexican so when I tell you to trust me on this one, please do. Birria tacos usually come with cilantro & onion and some with cheese , these tacos came with pico de gallo x___x (no no no) ... The birria beef was not seasoned right nor the tortilla a little crunchy but rather soggy. The broth that comes with it is one of the most tasty and delicious little soup you can tasty and this one was simply a cup of tasteless grease... so for the tacos, a BIG NO. The rice was ok and so were the beans but I mean, how can you mess up beans?... My bf had the burrito, portion wise, AMAZING! That thing was HUGE! So they were deff generous there and that's always appreciated. At the end, I was so confused with the ingredients of my birria tacos, maybe they were trying to add stuff to make them different? Make them stand out? I'm not sure, so if you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is NOT it, but if you're just down for drinks and yummy appetizers with amazing service, then this is your place! I would deff come back for a small bite and all because they truly know, what customer service is all about! read more

I love Cabo, I've been going to this place for years! I'm happy there's still a business around where it's known as a gem to visit. They have definitely updated the place throughout the years and honestly good for them! Now let's get to the food. I try and always order something different each time. I've never been disappointed and the drinks are so fun and different. This is more of an American Mexican food vibe and now authentic Mexican food so keep that in mind. 100 dollar Little portions and food not that great I got octopus and it tasted like posion I couldn't eat it

The food was 5 stars but the Men's bathroom is NOT ADA COMPLIANT. It is way too small for a wheelchair or scooter. I went last night for dinner. I had to use the facilities. I had to wedge my scooter in to get the door closed. That left me in an awful position and I slipped on water (or God forbid...urine) and fell and was then wedged between the toilet and my scooter. The bathroom only had 2 grab rails to aid. People who design their facilities need to think about their customers and not cost. It took me almost 45 minutes to get off the floor and maneuver my scooter just to open the broken locked door. I could not wash my hands and because the bathroom was extremely small On a happy note, we definitely enjoyed the meal and service from Katianna. She was very pleasant and helpful . Cabo is another great Mexican restaurant in the RVC area. It was my first time coming with a friend and we enjoyed our dinner on the outdoor patio. The vibe was great, good music, and everyone was having a good time at their tables or at the bar. Can be child and large group friendly as I saw a large group set up on the patio and a toddler having the time of their life with their family. We got drinks, nachos, guac & chips, and tacos. Everything was delicious and presented well. They have table side guac, so you can get it exactly how you like it. Drinks definitely need the coronita or an extra shot, kind of weak for the price but it was still enjoyable for the taste. Service was decent as well. Parking can be found in the rear municipal lot. People can be a little impatient, but loop around once or twice and you're sure to find something. It is metered, free after 6PM weekdays. Definitely want to come back to Cabo for another chill night when I'm craving Mexican food. read more

Here we go. My daughter saw this restaurant advertised on Groupon. Also one of her friends told her about Happy Hour here. Well lets just say this place is great for Happy Hour. You will definitely be happy after their drinks. Lol. Location is down the street from LIŔR Rockville Centre train station, across from the movie theater. Now the food yummy let's just say delish. I came here after a hard day at work for some drinks and snacks with a co worker the place is very disorganized, the waitress was no where to be found, never offered water, she was far from friendly. I came in the restaurant to experience Mexican food, I was very respectful and did not say or do anything to disrespect the staff, I called the restaurant before hand to see if they accept Manual entry because I lost my credentials the day before, for some reason my card was not going through when it was time to manual entry my information, we ended up using my friends card as a backup, they were very racist, they had police outside the restaurant because they thought we weren't paying or was going to dine and dash, I was very surprised, I live in Hempstead and I like going to restaurants in rvc but Cabo is very racist and their food isn't even good compared to home cooked food! The drinks are definitely great nice and refreshing and definitely have a kick. The calamari wasn't that great. No flavor, no crisp, and the sauce lacked as well. The steak quesadilla was better. The steak was made well and seasoned but the tortilla was very soggy, and the sour cream was very very salty. Our family hosted a luncheon for approx 25 people at Cabo in the atrium space at the rear of the restaurant. Angelo and his team were outstanding! The quality and diverse selection of the food was second to none! Not only were our meat eaters satisfied, but so were our vegan and gluten free guests.
