I have had the pork bun, the tonkatsu noodle soup, garlic rice, and the fried squid; everything is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The quaint and welcoming restaurant was a nice intimate setting. There was not much seating options, however we sat down and I ordered a green tea and miso and it did not disappoint. The portions were very large and tasty! We also were able to enjoy the entree of gyoza with the bowl and soup! All in all a great option we may try new things from the menu again soon read more

First time here as I craved ramen on a cold and wet spring day. I came to pick up. First thing I noticed is that parking is not easy, especially if you don't know the area. There are many municipal lots, but they were at capacity too. It's often the case in this area. Eventually I grabbed a street parking space from someone leaving. I ordered the spicy ramen with chicken and a side of edamame. I ate the edamame on the way home, as I took my meal to go. They were standard fare, but tasted warmed up, not fresh, but not terrible. At home, I opened the separated containers for the ramen and spicy soup and made half of it. The soup broth was delicious and the ramen and veggies were good. There was small portions of veggies; corn, mushrooms and sliced radishes which were fresh tasting. I have enough for a second meal. Good stuff. Overall I was satisfied with my meal, the service and the cost. If I want ramen again, I'll definitely return. read more

I saw a sign that said free dessert if you order a ramen and an appetizer so I ordered a ramen and an appetizer. The ramen I ordered was a vegan ramen which has a miso broth! It was absolutely delicious. My ramen had mushrooms, bok choy, corn, avocado and herbs. The ramen here is hand made and my ramen was made from spinach and was bursting with robust flavor. The fried chicken katsu was also good but I could do without it next time since I couldn't finish it all. The mochi was actually delicious, probably some of the best mochi I've had in a while but I'm not sure if it was made in house or store bought. Nontheless everything was delicious! The inside of this place is very aesthetically pleasing! I have heard so much about 8 Ramen and I finally grabbed an excuse to visit here. Walking into the store, I did a double take. With the completely open store front, all the flowers and beautiful decor, I was convinced that, despite the large sign outside, I had walked into a boutique skincare shop or something. No, 8 Ramen just happens to be the most beautifully decorated ramen shop ever. Having looked at Yelp before walking in, I was convinced that I was going to order the tonkotsu ramen. However, I saw the tsukemen on the menu and changed my mind. And it was a great choice for the day. Slowly dipping my chewy noodles into a flavorful broth, I was able to savor the sunshine coming through the front and lighting up the room. The chashu and the egg were cooked well. The store is fairly small and intimate. I was sad to realize I probably couldn't do a girls brunch with my coworkers. But it's good for small groups and dates. Upon entrance you'll notice it's like a garden - very gorgeous seating area and decorations. Also got some heaters sprinkled throughout so even though it was freezing outside it was very comfortable inside. The food - we got a tonkatsu and spicy tonkatsu. Both were delicious, not too salty, noodle texture was just right. Thick piece of pork. The spicy tonkatsu was not as spicy as I thought it'd be and I have a low heat tolerance. But it had a kick and was a comfortable spice level for me. I don't think the egg was a soy sauce egg, but that's a small detail for me - at least the egg was not extra charge and was a nicely soft boiled. Service was quick and friendly. For a Saturday night it was about 15 min wait and they got people in and out relatively quick. Parking is free after 6pm except Sunday in the lot next to the restaurant. There's also street parking. The atmosphere is amazing... it's decorated so lovely! The service is the best I've experienced anywhere. Even my straw wrapper didn't sit on the table for more than 30 seconds before they grabbed it to trash. I highly recommend the calamari! I was a little concerned thinking it would be hard to eat with chop sticks but the pieces were so tender yet crispy - so delicious! I had the chicken ramen which was good and my boyfriend had a spicy pork ramen and he also liked it. We both like spicy, but I find spicy ramens can be overwhelmingly hot that I end up not enjoying it, but he said he could have gone for more spice so I'll probably try that one next time and he said he'd ask for extra heat.
