When I walked in and saw only one person sitting I assumed it was just the time of day but in reality it's the service. I waited ten minutes for my meal that the waitress forgot to put in and for whatever reason thought it was funny. To top it off my dates ramen seemed pretty underwhelming and a bit salty. Visit Date: January 6, 2024 I came here with my son and my dad. My son decided he wanted to try instant noodles. So I got him a side of plain ramen. I didn't want to spend too much money so I got the pork bun for myself. My son got the blue hawai soda and my dad got a bowl with ramen, a poached egg and broth. I ate ramen at 8 ramen. Not my finest joke but not the finest ramen. Don't get me wrong, they deserve their 4 stars. The decor is fantastic and whimsical. The service is fast and consistent. First time here as I craved ramen on a cold and wet spring day. I came to pick up. First thing I noticed is that parking is not easy, especially if you don't know the area. There are many municipal lots, but they were at capacity too. It's often the case in this area. Eventually I grabbed a street parking space from someone leaving. I ordered the spicy ramen with chicken and a side of edamame. I ate the edamame on the way home, as I took my meal to go. They were standard fare, but tasted warmed up, not fresh, but not terrible. At home, I opened the separated containers for the ramen and spicy soup and made half of it. The soup broth was delicious and the ramen and veggies were good. There was small portions of veggies; corn, mushrooms and sliced radishes which were fresh tasting. I have enough for a second meal. Good stuff. Overall I was satisfied with my meal, the service and the cost. If I want ramen again, I'll definitely return. read more

I have heard so much about 8 Ramen and I finally grabbed an excuse to visit here. Walking into the store, I did a double take. With the completely open store front, all the flowers and beautiful decor, I was convinced that, despite the large sign outside, I had walked into a boutique skincare shop or something. No, 8 Ramen just happens to be the most beautifully decorated ramen shop ever. Having looked at Yelp before walking in, I was convinced that I was going to order the tonkotsu ramen. However, I saw the tsukemen on the menu and changed my mind. And it was a great choice for the day. Slowly dipping my chewy noodles into a flavorful broth, I was able to savor the sunshine coming through the front and lighting up the room. The chashu and the egg were cooked well. The store is fairly small and intimate. I was sad to realize I probably couldn't do a girls brunch with my coworkers. But it's good for small groups and dates. Decent portions, but maybe it's me - didn't expect corn in my ramen. The spicy ramen was good, but I was expecting a little more spice. I love the decor of this place. I really enjoyed the takoyaki. We ordered 2 shoyu and 1 miso ramen. I preferred the shoyu broth. The pork bun is very good. They are very generous with the pork. Huge pieces. It wasn't as tender as other places I've been. But overall it was ok. I love the decor of the place. Even the bathroom was nice! As far as the crispy bacon. - it is what it is. Upon entrance you'll notice it's like a garden - very gorgeous seating area and decorations. Also got some heaters sprinkled throughout so even though it was freezing outside it was very comfortable inside. The food - we got a tonkatsu and spicy tonkatsu. Both were delicious, not too salty, noodle texture was just right. Thick piece of pork. The spicy tonkatsu was not as spicy as I thought it'd be and I have a low heat tolerance. But it had a kick and was a comfortable spice level for me. I don't think the egg was a soy sauce egg, but that's a small detail for me - at least the egg was not extra charge and was a nicely soft boiled. Service was quick and friendly. For a Saturday night it was about 15 min wait and they got people in and out relatively quick. Parking is free after 6pm except Sunday in the lot next to the restaurant. There's also street parking. Would def come back for my next ramen craving! read more

The quaint and welcoming restaurant was a nice intimate setting. There was not much seating options, however we sat down and I ordered a green tea and miso and it did not disappoint. My fiancée and I came here on a spontaneous date. we've always wanted to give this place a try. We were not fans. The restaurant itself is cute with all its floral decor. The only thing that we kind of liked were the pork buns. We both got the Kani salad and after taking one bite, returned it. It was very mayo-y and had a weird taste like nail polish remover. I saw a sign that said free dessert if you order a ramen and an appetizer so I ordered a ramen and an appetizer. The ramen I ordered was a vegan ramen which has a miso broth! It was absolutely delicious. My ramen had mushrooms, bok choy, corn, avocado and herbs. The ramen here is hand made and my ramen was made from spinach and was bursting with robust flavor. The fried chicken katsu was also good but I could do without it next time since I couldn't finish it all. The mochi was actually delicious, probably some of the best mochi I've had in a while but I'm not sure if it was made in house or store bought. Nontheless everything was delicious! The inside of this place is very aesthetically pleasing! I would consider myself a ramen connoisseur and so I take my ramen experiences very seriously. This establishment is about average in my opinion. The buns were good flavor wise, cold which defeats the purpose for me. It should be melting in my mouth. The calamari was decent and the ramen was standard. They do not sell alcohol, which is fine but noted. The device was subpar. I didn't feel like I was serviced properly. All in all, the food did what it needed to do for the moment. Would I return?
