The workers here were really kind and accommodating. They know what they're doing. The mentaiko udon was delicious, so was the tan tan men. Can't say the tonkatsu ramen was great, the broth was missing the creamy and rich aspect of tonkatsu - the noodles were perfect al dente but they only seem to have thin noodles and not the wavy ones. Ambiance was nice - the restaurant was nicely decorated and dimly lit. We saw a table get served the dumplings and it looked really good. I think it's a pretty solid spot for what it was. Stumbled into one of the cutest hidden gems in Lynbrook and the service is genuinely great, it's a ramen + Thai fusion spot right across from the movie theater -- and wow, my taste buds are still cheering. The chicken wings? Pure crispy perfection. The kind that shatters when you bite in. The seaweed salad was tasty but micro-sized for the price. Located diagonally from the Lynbrook movie theater. Parking is a convenient 2 block walk from the Forester and Atlantic Ave lot. This place has Japanese items that I haven't tried before.. The Mentaiko is made from pollock roe with noodles and is rich and delicious as an appetizer. Their ramen and curry dishes are delicious. I didn't know that Japan makes curry dishes. The curry is flavored differently from other cuisines and I'd like to try more! Makes me realize that I haven't experienced the full Japanese restaurant experience in NY and makes me wonder which of our cities have more than ramen, izakaya and sushi. I came here with my friend after watching wicked 2 across the street at the movies. The town of Lynbrook was very beautifully decorated for Christmas and so was this restaurant. They had lots of Christmas lights and they even had a real tree with a Christmas playlist which made the vibe. The place is kind of tiny but was big enough to hold a good amount of people. We ordered our spicy ramen and the miso ramen. The ramen came fast and was piping hot. The ramen came with butter which I never seen before but was so tasty. My only complaint was the meat was more fatty then actual meat. However, the ramen was pretty good and the place was so nice. I heard the chicken wings and the thai food was great too. Next time I want to come back and try that because the meat in the ramen was a little too fatty for my liking. Service was nice and they have a parking lot across the street. read more

So glad to have a ramen spot in Lynbrook! Ni Ramen is a great addition, especially for quick takeout--they're fast and efficient. Prices are pretty standard for ramen, and the portion sizes are just right. That said, I wish they had more options, like different seafood or veggies for the ramen. It'd also be great if their online ordering let you swap out broth or customize your bowl--maybe a "create your own" option? The spicy miso ramen is definitely more spice than flavor, which is a little different from other places I've had. But overall, the place is clean, the staff is super friendly, and the experience is good. I'll keep coming back and hope to see some updates as they grow! read more

I'm really disappointed that I have to write this review because my boyfriend and I genuinely felt disrespected by a server here. We come to Ni Ramen often this was about our 10th time dining here. Today, our server was an Asian lady with blonde hair. When she first seated us, my boyfriend and I politely asked if it was possible to have a different table because the one we were given was very close to other customers. She responded with an attitude and said, "No, those seats are only for four people." We understood and replied, "Oh, that's completely fine, thank you." After she took our order, we noticed that two other couples were leaving. The table they were sitting at was in the corner by a window, which we preferred. I asked my boyfriend if we should ask to move, and he suggested waiting until she finished cleaning the table. When we saw her cleaning it, my boyfriend politely asked if it would be okay for us to move there. She responded, "Can you just let me finish cleaning this table?" while giving us a rude facial expression and an attitude. We were both shocked by her response because we had asked politely. After she finished cleaning, she raised her voice and said, "Move your stuff here." I was really upset by how we were treated. I understand if we were being an inconvenience, but she still could have spoken to us respectfully, especially since we were polite the entire time. After we finished eating, we noticed that an 18% tip was automatically added to our bill. Every time we've come here before, tipping was always our choice. We also noticed that the customers next to us had the option to choose their tip, while we didn't. This left my boyfriend and me feeling confused and uncomfortable, as it gave the impression that a decision was made for us based on an assumption rather than allowing us the same choice as other customers. read more

In a word, Ni Ramen was fantastic. I don't know how long they have been open, but im so glad they are. I've been trying to hit up this spot to satisfy my ramen craving since I spotted them across the street from the Regal Theater. Who doesn't love ramen before or after seeing a movie? Ni Ramen is such a beautiful restaurant, and of course, the ramen is superb. Like many ramen lovers, broth is critical for me. The broth has to have a body. The menu indicated that the broth was excellent, and I can attest to that. I had their signature ramen jazzed up to the max with shrimp tempura, black garlic oil, and made spicy. "We are the knights who say Ni!"..."Ni!.... Ni!.... Ni!" The name made me think of the classic Monty Python scene from their Holy Grail movie. Is Ni Ramen the holy grail of Ramen spots? Not quite, but it certainly has its charms. I immediately was struck by the decor with its impressive flowering tree wall. It is a modern space with wood and natural tones that makes you want to spend time. A long seated bar is along the window so individual ramen eaters can impress passers-bys with their slurping ability. My group of 3 was given the seat by the window made exactly for our number. Seating mainly along a banquette, or booths on the other side by the kitchen. Despite photos posted to this page they do not at this time serve any alcohol so we took advantage of the current Yelp check in for a free drink - we all had roasted rice tea, in this case, Maeda En brand tea bag which makes a tasty tea. We shared the Spicy Mentaiko Udon which was very spicy and delicious with its comforting and plump udon noodles. The bacon pieces managed to clump into little nuggets - I would have preferred more care shown to have individual pieces spread throughout, but good nonetheless. I opted for the tonkotsu ramen and I jump on the black garlic oil bandwagon when it is offered - It adds richness. The chashu were thick, meaty, tender slices and the egg perfectly soft boiled. Red ginger was a curious addition that I haven't seen often in other Ramen spots - I can't say I particularly liked it, but can see why it would be added to cut the rich flavor. My friends ordered the spicy paste and we all noticed a distinct ginger flavor in the paste, but maybe our mind played a trick on us since we discussed ginger. My friends enjoyed the Shoyu and chicken based Shio ramens. For dessert we shared the Mango Mille Crepe Cake - which I thought was reasonably priced at a few dollars less then I see elsewhere. When it is served I can see why - this is more like a 400 layer (not literally), rather than a mille (1,000) layer (again, not literally) crepe cake. A taller slice would work better here - more work for sure, but it would give the cake more lightness and be more impressive. Came here on a Friday afternoon after it opened and it was fairly empty. The decor was very cute and the place was spacious. Service was really quick and the waitresses were all very attentive. We had our water cups refilled at least 5 times (we love water). I got the tonkotsu ramen with black garlic oil which was +$2, personally I'm not sure if it was worth the extra 2 bucks but it was good. I do wish I tasted more of the original broth before I mixed it. While it was rich, it was not super deep in umami flavor before the garlic. I would like to see more toppings included in the ramen as well, like seaweed or corn. There was half w soft boil egg which was delicious, pickled ginger, bamboo shoots, and the pork. The takoyaki was actually one of the better ones I've had at restaurants with it being nice and crispy on the outside, would have liked to see more octopus but I'm just being greedy. Tldr: great ramen for your buck if you're in the area. Great service and food, would recommend. Menu can use tweaking I were to critique anything. read more

Cute and cozy place to satisfy your ramen craving. The place has warm lighting and florals everywhere so it feels so comforting, along with a steaming hot bowl of ramen. I have tried their spicy miso and regular tonkatsu with the black garlic oil and enjoyed both. Have also tried their takoyaki which I thought was okay. Spicy miso definitely had a kick to it and it was just right for me. Black garlic oil gave the tonkatsu an extra flavor profile. Service is quick and friendly. Both times I've been here, we were seated right away. Ni Ramen is on the corner of the block so it's easy to find, although parking can be tricky. Walked into this place before catching a movie across the street with friends. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday lunch time. We were seated as soon as everyone in the party arrived at the restaurant. The appetizers were really great. The server poured a little bit of water to the hot pan carrying the gyoza, which made a delightful sizzle and turned into a dazzling pillar of steam. Gyoza was warm and gingery but light, as you'd expect from Japanese dumplings. The pork buns were perfectly filled with two generous chunks of the chasiu, smattering of aromatic cucumber slice and spring onions, and rounded out with some leafy spring mix. The pillowy buns were fluffy and not soggy, as they sometimes can get if you steam them too long. I loved the mentaiko mayo dipping sauce for the calamari. I could probably have that entire ramekin of dip on bread or something. Salty, silky, fishy, and slightly spicy. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which had a nice, thick, flavorful broth that was not overly porky or greasy. The toppings were standard. The eggs were a little bit sweet in their marinade for my taste, but the chasiu was nice and chunky, with the marinade and char masterfully cutting the fat and any gamey taste. The spicy version of the tonkotsu that my friend ordered, however, was pretty flavorless. I would recommend going with just the tonkotsu and not adding any spice to it. The tantanmen was the big hit at the table, punchy and flavorful. The food here was definitely enjoyable. The only thing that was missing was a comprehensive drink menu. "Iced green tea" was just bottled one they sell at the stores, and the peach and yuzu mocktails were tasty but not anything out of the ordinary. It seems they don't have a liquor license yet as this is still a "soft opening" phase. The ramen would be perfect with some nice beer and sake cocktails. New ramen place that recently opened up located in between ShakeAPaw and Coldstone. Perfect location for a day of serotonin -- ramen ice cream and puppies. The ambiance is also really nice in here as well. Floral wall fixtures and a hidden Pokeball incorporated in them. Giving it 3 stars because the ramen I had was underwhelming. The noodles in my ramen tasted really overcooked and were not firm at all. My girlfriend, however, really enjoyed her ramen. Her noodles were cooked to perfection. She had thicker wavy noodles and mine were thin. I would definitely come back though to give something other than the Tan Tan ramen a try and I really loved the potato salad. There are a few more appetizers I want to try, as well as some of their rice bowls. It's nice to have more ramen options in the area. I would also recommend the staff give more insightful recommendations to people trying to decide on their order. When I asked what the roasted rice tea tasted like the hostess told me "rice". I haven't had the best luck with Ramen on Long Island. I'm a pretty big snob and a lot of it is really substandard. Ni Ramen wasn't o my list of places to try but we were nearby when the restaurant we were intending to go to was closed. We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely atmosphere and friendly excellent service. They recently began serving a Thai menu as well, which is actually what brought us in. I was very surprised at their menu, which had lots of different options...many items I wanted to try. I had the Tan Tan Ramen and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious broth, pork and egg. The noodle...it wasn't what I'd call a ramen noodle...it was a nice thin noodle...but missing everything tat makes a ramen noodle a ramen noodle. But...since the dish itself was delicious and the noodle was still good...I was very happy with the bowl. We also tried so Thai curry which was also very good. We definitely will be going back and I will be trying a different noodle to see how that works. They have many ramen options, from broths to noodle to proteins and you can add various items to customize your bowl however you like. BUT what a terrible mistake it is to go grocery shopping on an empty stomach . A quick search for food brought us to "Ni Ramen" . I ordered from a purist Ramen snob perspective . Tonkatsu with Pork , black garlic oil , and chili paste. My posture relaxed and my tongue enlarged in a way only biological reactions happen.
