I wish I could remember what I had there, but it was amazing! This cute and intimate venue had such a relaxing ambience and attentive staff. The on street parking was perfect because the meters are free after 7PM! The food was spot on and my drink was worth mentioning. I need to try the dessert next time. We ordered pickup directly through the restaurant. Order was nearly packed, ready on time, and traveled well. I had the Khao Soi with tofu. It's a thick, dark, and flavorful curry with pickled mustard, boiled egg, and crispy egg noodles. The spice level was very approachable. read more

The service was excellent. Noah and Sarah, our servers were a pleasure. The ambiance was nice. It's not as small as I believed because of previous Yelpers reviews. There were so many good choices, but the menu was so large and heavy, it was a little annoying. Four of us split the appetizers. I had soft shell crabs($30!!!). Whenever they're in season, I try to have them. Hubby and our friend both got soups and both were spicy. The papaya salad was OK. For dinner I got the Crispy Pork Belly with brown sauce witha runny egg over Jasmine rice. My friend got the same thing but hers had a Basil sauce. She did not enjoy it. Both hubby and our other friend got Pad Thai. Hubby's came with a huge serving of Pork Belly which was edible and our friends came with chicken mixed in. The tuna flowers were fresh, delicate, and visually stunning, while the chicken satay and curry puffs were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The outside is very deceiving because the inside is stunning. We ordered chicken satay, which was ok. My friend didn't like her crab Rangoon because she said it was filled with mainly cream cheese and barely any crab, I enjoyed the chicken and shrimp dumpling. My drunken noodle has more veggies and less noodles. My sister pad see ew tasted really good. The price is decent but def had better Thai food than this. The service is nice & quick. Went here on Saturday for date night and had a great time. It's a very cozy atmosphere. The food was excellent and very flavorful. I wanted my drunken noodle a little spicier than and they provided me with extra spicy peppers to put on top. The drinks were also great and STRONG. We tried a few of the appetizers as well. I recommend making a reservation if you go on a Friday night. we didn't have one but were still seated, which was a nice. Prices are reasonable, and there's both street parking and metered parking in the back. The food was good overall. I ordered the basil chicken and asked for mild to moderate spice, but it came out very spicy -- it had about seven jalapeños on it! Still flavorful though. Every single last item tasted absolutely delicious! People overuse 10/10 these days but there is no other way to describe how good all the food tasted even the drinks! Even when I was stuffed I still had to take another bite because it was just so good. Not only was the food flavorful and seasoned to perfection the staff were equally as amazing. It's important to note we went on Mother's Day so the orders were coming in consistently but it didn't affect the quality of food or service. Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to this year. I also have to mention the decor. From the outside it doesn't look like much but once inside you are transported to a tropical oasis. Thai food is one of my favorites and I'm particular about the flavors! This spot definitely satisfied my taste buds. The lychee ice tea was refreshing and not too sweet. The wings were quite small and underwhelming in taste. My date seemed to enjoy the basil rice as he finished every bite with no complaints. He did say the Thai ice coffee was a bit too sweet for his liking. Now the star for me was this lychee crispy duck curry. O M G. Cute Thai spot with an old inviting ambiance. The service was fast and friendly, which made for a pleasant experience. The food, however, had some hits and misses. The wings had good flavor but could have been crispier. My duck dish was tasty but unfortunately came barely warm, which took away from the experience. As for drinks, the cucumber lychee mocktail was just okay--not bad, but nothing memorable. I did the take out option for Siam. I have never dined in but maybe after this experience I would consider giving it a try to see if there is redemption. The food was tasteless and mediocre. In comparison to the ambiance, it was so grand and beautiful it made you want to sit and eat there. I want to say its always a chance with take out not being as warm, or presented the same due to the containers but the quality shouldn't change. The food wasn't memorable or wowwing. RVC has a alot of Thai places and there is competition here. I think Siam has to do more to be in the standing. read more

This might have been my second or third visit to Siam Emerald. Siam is the perfect restaurant for date night or birthday celebration. Long overdo review here. I have no complaints about this restaurant. From the time you walked in, they greeted you and was very friendly. The ambiance and decor was really nice. This place is good for date night, birthday celebrations, group dinners, etc. It's not a huge restaurant so I highly recommend making a reservation if you have a large party or you want to dine at a specific time. You can walk in, but you will have to wait. Table service was great. The cutlery, plates and napkins were very pleasing, and it fit the aesthetic of the restaurant. The food was really really good. I enjoy Thai food a lot so I'm very critical about when I go to a Thai restaurant. I have high expectations at all times. The khao soi was very good 10 out of 10. I can't remember the name of my drink, but it was a cocktail and it is pictured in my review and it did taste really good. It was mixed well and the ratio of alcohol was perfect. The table also has spring rolls. I feel like you really can't go wrong with spring rolls. They could either be perfect or too oily these were perfect. I would definitely return to Siam emerald. There is parking on the street as well as there was a parking lot not too far where you could pay a meter during specific hours. The food was outstanding! Started off with an appetizer sweet chilli wings. They was super crispy not to hot and not to sweet! Then I had the seafood paella and the basil chicken with white rice. It was a little spicy but it was very good the paella was very good also. The only things I didn't like about the paella was it had peanuts and it was on a skillet which made the rice continue to cook but I finished it. It had pineapple's seafood muscles shrimp calamari onions and peanuts. The basil chicken Han onions peppers jalapeños which we could've done without white rice and any protein which we got chicken. With 2 meals an appetizer a 9 dollar bottle of water for 2 it was about $75. The service was great! They was very nice and on point. The ambiance was cute not too big but very pretty. We didn't have reservations but I would call ahead just in case because they asked us if we did have reservations but they had a small table available. read more

I came here on a Saturday afternoon, and it was a bit quiet with only a couple of other tables occupied. The decor is sooo beautiful, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The service was exceptional--our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive. My boyfriend and I started with the curry puffs, our usual go-to, and they didn't disappoint--absolutely delicious! My boyfriend had the pad Thai with duck. He loved it! I had the panang curry, and it was bursting with flavor and spice level was on point!! One of the best curry dishes I've ever had. I was very excited about this spot but was disappointed by the food. The decor is beautiful and very nice for pictures, and our servers were very kind and helpful, and were very attentive. The food came out fairly quickly but I felt that was all I really liked about this spot. The food was average and lacked the authentic flavor I was expecting. The dishes were either very reserved in taste or over the top. I feel that they were not worth the prices, which matched Manhattan prices. We tried a few dishes, including the Roti Chicken Wrap, Grilled Pork Skewers, Khao Kra-Pao Moo Krob, and Pad Thai with Mock Duck. The Roti was very flaky and a tad bit too oily, and the chicken was all peanut sauce, and was average overall. The Grilled Pork Skewers were too sweet, and seemed to be drowning in the sauce. I took a bite and could not finish it because of how sweet it was. The Moo Krob was decent but lacked any kind of real spiciness and left a lot to be desired. The Pad Thai was average and was more on the sweeter side. Overall, this is a nice spot if you're specifically looking for a nice spot where you can eat and take nice photos. Came here on a Sunday night and we sat down right away! The interior is quite pretty, with faux floral / greenery on the ceiling. We ordered Thai iced tea, which was so delicious! Along with the tuna flowers (spicy but delicious, and a beautiful presentation) the spring rolls, the coconut soup, and two other dishes. The coconut soup was SO delicious, would also highly recommend! The service was good, and the food came out very quickly. I would definitely want to come back and try a few more dishes. I took my daughter there to enjoy the reasonably priced lunch special which included a starter, soup, and entree. I had been there before when I'd had a delightfully warm waitress but this time, a waiter with a heavy accent seemed to have trouble with the basics (bringing the lemon for which I'd asked and refilling our water glasses). He also did not come by even once to inquire how we were enjoying the food or if there was anything else we'd like. What a fabulous find! We came here early on a Saturday evening (previously with no reservation and no tables available that first time so we knew what to do!) This feels more like a NYC restaurant - great ambiance with dinner club-like lighting and incredibly attentive service. We shared a Pad Thai with tofu and a Green Curry with mixed seafood. Both dishes were flavorful and delicious, the curry dish slightly spicy but perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the coconut milk. The curry dish had a nice amount of mussels, shrimp and squid. This Thai spot is excellent! I tried the green curry salmon and thought the green curry was excellently flavored. The salmon was a good size. My husband got the massaman curry and asked them to make him cry. They delivered! He said it was super spicy and someone had fun making his dish for sure.
