Brookside Deli is a local family spot. Everyone is always super nice and accomodating, but today when I stopped in, I was saddened to see the effect that this pandemic has caused on his business and in turn on his family. Did he say anything? Of course not, but the struggle is in his eyes. They have a bunch of specials hot and cold, an array of drinks and snacks all of which you are sure to enjoy. Please, everyone, I am asking you to stop by Brookside Deli (and then keep stopping by). Their food is tasty, made with love, the prices are reasonable and most importantly they need our business. If this was your pops or your uncle, it would break your heart to see his worry so let's do the right thing for our community and skip the fast food and instead stop by for real food, fast at Brookside Deli. We will spend the money anyway, so why not spend it at Brookside, it can literally make all the difference in the world for this family. read more

Updated review: So usually I wouldn't go back to a place I left a bad review but, my co-workers decided to order food from here today so I figured I would give them another shot. I ordered the Chef Salad which is supposed to be Tossed greens, tomatos, onions, cucumbers, peppers, boiled eggs, ham, turkey, and cheese. My salad came with 4 skimpy rolls of cold cuts over lettuce and tomato. 3 thin slices of cucumber. No peppers, no eggs. Cost me over $10. Wont be back Original Review: Ordered a number 33 on a wrap. Supposed to be chicken cutlet, melted american, lettuce, and onions on a roll. I asked for it on a wrap. Chicken was hard, they forgot the cheese and the onions, wrap fell apart as soon as I opened it. I payed $9 for chicken and lettuce on a sloppy wrap. Wasn't happy, won't be back. read more

Brookside Deli - Delis Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

This place is skippable; the food is a bit overpriced, often soggy, and average at best. The service seems to be way too quick, which has often come at the cost of quality, often at times they appear to do the bare minimum to make your food, barely using any ingredients. Most of the food seems like they've made it at least a couple of days ago, reheating it over and over until it gets sold or thrown out. Best to avoid this place during the school lunch rush, the service seems to slow done considerably as its packed with loud and annoying teenagers. read more

Strange Place - Food was OK; Yeah - I agree with the review of this place being a tad bit overpriced. The seating "Situation" is pretty nice. Very "Interesting" operational set up - Who owns/runs this place? They seem to be in some sort of transition. Not a bad place to visit if you are visiting the best Podiatrist in Nassau County - Dr. Michael Barkin's Office is nearby. read more

Brookside Deli - Breakfast Wrap - Delis Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

Good Day. I'm disappointed on how the owner, I believe made my MJHS students sandwich, without changing gloves and handling money. He also was holding the order slip in his mouth. His mask wasn't over his mouth. Overpriced sandwiches for students. They were charged up to 11 dollars for a sandwich and soda. Im glad , I came into the store and observed this. I did ask him why, he apologized low staff. Please your a greedy man, and frankly don't care. You should put health 1st and follow guidelines. No excuses. Next site BBB. read more

The staff here is always friendly, efficient and courteous! They use only Boar's Head cold cuts, and the home made items such as salads are always fresh and tasty! The best part of this place is the extensive sandwich menu. They make incredible heroes, all delicious and no skimping on the ingredients! Definitely one of the best delis in VS. read more

I love this place but was recently disappointed. They no longer offer student special! I saw the sign and gave my son exact amount for a roll and soda when he got there they said they no longer offer it.. then please take the sign down! It's misleading to customers read more

When we first relocated, we were on the hunt for a real deli. We stumbled upon Brookside and haven't gone anywhere else since. My husband and I love the friendly staff who always remembers us and who make our visits very neighborly. Their service is pretty swift and I've enjoyed everything I've tried so far. I've sent so many neighbors and friend to Brookside and everyone has loved it! read more

Robbery! I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich on a roll with lettuce tomatoes and pepper jack cheese. The chicken was soggy and the bread was wet. Sandwich was overall horrible and i paid almost 9 dollars smfh. Never again! 0 stars in my book read more

Consistently serving quality food. Bacon egg & cheese with salt pepper and catsup is the best I've had. And the "Bindy" sandwich, chicken cutlet, bacon, melted cheese with Russian dressing on a roll is guaranteed to quiet that rumble coming from your belly. Good food, great service. Stop reading this & get down there! read more

I stopped by this morning for a hero. Went all the way home and noticed there was no meat on my sandwich. How the heck you give someone a hero with 2 slices of cheese, onion, lettuce but no meat. Drove all the way back and they guy immediately knew what was wrong. Talk about skimping on the meat. Definitely won't be visiting anytime soon. Make sure you check your order before leaving this place. read more

I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich and the chicken was either from the day before aka not fresh or it was not cooked well because the chicken was LITERALLY like RUBBER. I took one bite and i had to spit it out. It was disgusting. I even tried to still eat it because i hate to bean annoying complaining customer but the sandwich was not edible AT ALL. I spent $16 on a sandwich fries and a drink. I asked the woman very politely if she can make me a different sandwich because it seemed like maybe the pieces of chicken she gave me wasn't cooked enough.. She continued to argue with me, even cursing at me and insisted that her chicken was cooked well and no one else complained.. mind you it was only 11 am. Terrible ethics for a business owner. She couldve offered to fix the situation in some way but she basically took my money and said fuck you. There's way too many delis in the area. I have never been so insulted. read more

This deli is over priced and the food isn't even good. There was a piece of string in my chicken sandwich. Yuck! I'm still on the hunt for a good deli. read more

Great food and service! I always enjoy stopping there for a quick bite on the way home from work.

This is my go to for a good breakfast sandwich. They never skimp on anything and I'm usually full before I even finish. They have a CRAZY menu for all kinds of sandwiches. All of their meats always look fresh and nothing ever looks like it's been sitting there. I am very picky and I have never been dissatisfied. Many delis on the island are notorious for having terrible coffee and I am forced to make an extra trip to dunkin afterwards but the coffee here is always fresh and delicious! Thank you Brookside Deli for being my go to local deli while I'm at work in Valley Stream!! read more
