He admits that fall is a slow season, so it's a good time to call if you have a super tight budget. I've attached photos of his work .. the arrows show where he trimmed the trees away from the sidewalks, neighbors house, and our roof. The X's mark where three 25-year-old crepe myrtles the size of a small dining room table were removed .. roots and all. Gone! He's got a professional stump grinder, mulching truck, and even offers to cut the wood into perfect pieces for your smoker, grill, or fireplace. How nice is that!?! If you've been putting off this kind of yard work because you're afraid of what it will cost, give Luis a call. You've got nothing to lose by getting a quote, and your neighbors might thank you! Mine certainly did lol.

Forgetting who did it last time, I contacted Moon Valley Nurseries (stay away!) who I saw trimming a neighbor. Moon quote - they were going to charge me $5500 to trim 3 trees!!! Not remembering who I used before, I turned to Nextdoor. And bam! Twin Oak Solutions popped up and then I remembered that was who I used before (and was super impressed). They gave me a $600 quote for the exact same trees (don't forget Moon quote above) and came out the next day. The trees look fabulous. The crew cleanup was incredible not a spec of a branch or leaves left. And they mulch what was cut off, so no messy sidewalk pick up to deal with. I wasn't happy with the service I received. JD tree service sent someone out to estimate trimming…read more4 big trees, and bracing one (lifting a limb to a support beam to allow improved garage access). The estimate was higher than I hoped, but I agreed. They did a basic tree trim, and did not complete the job as agreed, specifically bracing a the heavy limb. Further, they expected full payment. I paid, as life is too short to argue these things. If they didn't want to perform the limb brace work, they should have told at the time of estimate. These guys are probably fine for basic trimming, but be clear on what you're getting. I've switched to a tree service from East Dallas that seems more expert at handling big trees. They do cable and brace work, and the cost per tree, of trimming, was the same. No other complaints with the trimming, but no question they could have handled it better in so many ways. At a minimum they should back up their estimates, or reach you that day if they are in over their heads. I Won't be back.

Four days go by and then late on Saturday night I get a call from them and it goes into into my voice mail. A man named Harold leaves a long rambling message that goes on for one minute and 8 seconds and he sounds intoxicated. He is slurring his words and saying weird things like "he was wondering if I was ok" and that "they return calls in the order they receive them" and other strange remarks. At the same time I started getting text messages of photos of his tree service company logo and other pictures of guys cutting trees down, etc. I received a total of five text photos which really used up my cell data. So I call this guy to tell him that I have already hired someone to cut my trees and not to call me again. When he answers he sounds intoxicated again. I told him the that he waited four days to return my call, was sending unsolicited large file photo text messages, and that he left me a long rambling voice mail. He is slurring his words so I gave him a piece of my mind and not to ever call me again. Would advise anyone from using this unprofessional company that waits four days to return a call then calls late Saturday night sounding intoxicated.
