I've used Golden Tree for years, not sure if they sold to someone new or if their "arborist" are a new addition. Their price to trim trees was twice as much as the past. The "arborist" recommended I get a rod in my elm due to the structure of the tree. Their company put a rod in both trees over 6 years ago, and both are visible. Got another company that was recommended to come out for half the price that Golden Tree estimated. Sad I loved working with their guys in the past. read more

We had large limbs on our roof from wind damage in a storm. Golden Tree recommended removal of the remaining tree due to the damage to the tree. It was between two houses and a difficult removal. Joel and his crew expertly brought the tree down that had limbs over our neighbor's house, too. They were fascinating to watch, expertly brought every limb of the tree safely to the ground without touching any of the structures and cleaned everything up beautifully! We have used Golden Tree for over 8 years to trim our 7 mature trees. We have always had great service until now. We needed a limb taken down that had split after a bad storm end of May. We got the estimate early June with a timeframe of first week in July to get it done.I don't know if they have new staff or just don't care about smaller jobs or both. We were initially made to feel valued as a longtime customer but after hearing "we should be there next week" for over a month it starts to feel like a lie. We went with a different company who could get the limb down 2 days after our call and for less than Golden Tree's quote. I hope they improve their customer service to the standard they once had. I currently wouldn't recommend after this experience. read more

I wanted to write a review about my experience. I know this may be a long review, but you see, we have this massive tree, a tree we love because of the shade it provided and amount of birds that came to sit and sing in the top. However, as you can see, it is next to our swimming hole nestled tightly in this space in our messy little yard. The tree itself wasn't very friendly as it would drop little sticky nuts that made a mess everywhere, drop its leaves in our pool and had roots that loved to grow and stretch its legs up through the pavers in our yard. It wasn't always this big and had not been trimmed like it should have been. We did still love it and were sad at the thought of letting it go. We called Golden Tree Maintenance, and Chris came quickly to offer advice and confirmed this messy tree needed to go. They gave us an estimate and gave us time to think about it, remember we loved this huge tree and had watched it grow for over ten years. The day came for them to come, and to my amazement, it was fun to watch how skillfully these guys swung from branch to branch using safety ropes and teamwork. They carefully removed it without damage to our swimming hole or the fence. I was delighted to see how speedy they worked and how friendly the crew was. They even left us with a small piece that they squared up so I can use as a little seat to remember our beloved tree. The guys cleaned up all the mess from cutting down the tree and were gone quickly. I could tell they had done this many times before, and if you need a tree trimmed or a tree loved or not to be gone, I would absolutely recommend you give Golden Tree a call and let them clean up your trees or take them down with ease. Our Oak tree in the front yard never recovered from the 2021 freeze. We called Golden Tree, who was quick to come out and assess the tree to confirm it was dead. We scheduled a date for the removal, but they ended up having a cancellation and were able to come out sooner than planned. It took the team less than 30 minutes to cut down, cut up and clean up the tree. They'll be back out in a week or so to grind down the stump. I called to use them again to have my trees done in my front yard and they told me someone would get with me in 1 to 3 days. A week went by and no one came out to give me an estimate so I called them to see when someone was coming out. I told the lady that answer the phone that I had called a week ago and no one has come out. She told me that someone would be out that day to give me an estimate. After our large tree in our front yard was struck by lightning in a recent storm, we called 2 tree services recommended on a local community forum. Golden called back that evening and was there the next day doing an estimate. The other company never called back at all. The Golden appraiser recognized the tree was in bad shape with a split down the middle and that time was of the essence. (We had strapped it together to try to keep it from falling onto the house.) They were there the next day to cut the tree down, and then there the following day to remove the stump. (You have options of cutting down vs. total removal so you can plant another tree.) I was impressed with the option of paying a bit extra for protection for any possible damage to the sprinkler system with the tree removal. Losing our beloved tree broke my heart, but this company was spot on, professional and we would definitely use them again. read more

Golden Tree came out yesterday and cut my trees back from my house and thinned out my big cedar elm tree. I have to say I couldn't be more impressed! Not only with their work, but also with their big truck & chipper! There is a tree cutting service across the street today and they have a trailer to put all their limbs on. Haha. Have Used Golden Tree multile times over almost 20 years. Gave it 4 or 5 star reviews most times. Not this time. I called for emergency serivce due to storm damage. Was told it would be a week before someone would do an estimate. Really? A week for emergency serice? Nice way to treat a long term customer. We used them for rock on a project. The guy who "calculated" the amount of rock by yards was WAY OFF!!!! Sorry, can't recommend! They were happy to charge the $85.00 delivery fee 2 times and we were still short! They were snotty and not helpful when I called and ask why the loads looked so light. no way were any of the deliveries full yards. Chris is polite and knowledgeable and will be the first person you see to introduce you to the company, survey the area to be serviced and understand your needs. He will make polite suggestions and give you a quote on the spot. He'll call you with a proposed date and time for his crew, who will show up as scheduled (this last time, it was the very next day). The crew is also polite and professional. Watching them scale the trees like acrobats was really something to watch...they go about their work quickly, and do a fantastic job of cleaning up afterwards. I had occasion to call Golden Tree Maintenance company a few days ago. The gal on the phone, Betsy, was so nice! She helped me in minutes, and within an hour someone (Tommy) came out and accessed my tree situation! They came the next day, bright and early, fixed my problem and went on their way. Later, I found out they previously did great work for my neighbor, and another neighbor said he will use them next time he needs work done because of what they did for me!
