This made it difficult for some other services---loads of gravel or dirt---to have easy access. With a project in progress and in desperate need of Samuel's Tree Service's knowledge and assistance, an e-mail was sent. First, Jennifer fielded my request. Second, Barbara rapidly responded and provided an excellent estimate; and, she was able to schedule the removal early the next morning. Third, the crew arrived promptly at the scheduled time and ready to work on removing the three trees. They quickly removed the trees and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. Lastly, upon quick notice, Don was able to come to our rescue. He provided an estimate for the grinding of one tree stump. Amazingly, within minutes, the stump was gone as if it never existed. Samuels was recommended on our community Facebook page. We came home from 2 weeks vacation and our 2 mature Bradford Pear trees in our front yard were dead! Cotton Root Rot was the culprit. However, felt price was high, especially when I found out at the end of the job that it did not include a huge pile of large branches that I was expected to dispose of myself. This was not my understanding of total tree removal! Apparently the only thing they were interested in removing was the wood they were going to split and sell for firewood. The price was also changed several times during our attempt to recall the initial conversation after the job was done. Lesson: Get a written proposal from this company up front and be sure the terms used in the proposal are understood! Marcus, the owner, is great! Very professional and pleasant to work with. His crew did an outstanding job, trimming several trees and removing one large Bradford Pear. They were courteous, efficient, and did a great job cleaning up. I received 3 quotes for the job, and Marcus was by far the most reasonable. I called Samuel's during a busy time when crews were working to catch up after all the rain in May, but Marcus was able to come by and give me an estimate the next day and do the job a few days later. He also advised me to contact him at any time if we had any emergencies with one of the tree limbs hitting the roof.
