Golden called back that evening and was there the next day doing an estimate. The other company never called back at all. The Golden appraiser recognized the tree was in bad shape with a split down the middle and that time was of the essence. (We had strapped it together to try to keep it from falling onto the house.) They were there the next day to cut the tree down, and then there the following day to remove the stump. (You have options of cutting down vs. total removal so you can plant another tree.) I was impressed with the option of paying a bit extra for protection for any possible damage to the sprinkler system with the tree removal. Losing our beloved tree broke my heart, but this company was spot on, professional and we would definitely use them again.

It went from $500 trim to $1700 to cut tree down and remove the stump. He said he could not remove the stump that day but would come back. After several days of not hearing from him, I texted him and told him the stump needed to be removed and to not grind it down. I told him I need to put a tree back in that spot because HOA requires it. He said just put the tree somewhere else which I do not want to do since I had a beautiful stone wall built around the tree and flower beds. First, it would look ridiculous and second, my yard is too small to put the tree somewhere else outside of the flower beds He was worried about breaking the wall. I told him to try not to but if I had to get repaired I would. After not hearing from him again, my son-in-law called him. He called me after that very rude and said he didn't appreciate some man calling him. I asked for a refund of the stump removal cost several times since and he will not return my call or respond to my texts or phone calls. I would never recommend this man or company to anyone!!!

The initial consult was fine. We got an estimate and decided on a plan. They assured me that even in the fall they'd be able to trim our tree of dead branches. My first disappointment was that in the fervor of trimming our tree they ripped out some of our newly planted bushes. There was no mention of it, no apology, full charge for the trim. I didn't mention anything because the bushes were spindly and I thought it was an honest mistake. My second disappointment is that when they returned for a soil sample they bent the back gate off the hinge and will need to be replaced. They did the soil sample when we weren't home so there's no hard evidence that it was their team but who else could have broken our gate on the same day they came? When I mentioned this, there was no apology, not reimbursement, just a follow up about when they could start the next project. There are plenty of tree services in the area... This one shouldn't be your choice.
