Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant experience working with Leo and his team. We had a pathway / turf project that was supposed to take 3 days to complete. It ended up taking 3 weeks and the job was eventually abandoned by Leo and his crew before it was completed. The crew left concrete splatter on the sidewalk and the concrete pathway does not match what we expected. We contacted Leo a few times to finish the project, without resolution. Well, we spent over $10,000 on turf in Sept 2021. The turf should have been pet friendly but our little shi tzu made short work of the turf and 2 months later it started reeking of urine. So this weekend we ripped out the area by our back door he's been using the bathroom on. What Leo put down was NOT pet friendly. We washed it, but the pee smell kept coming back. Another thing that was irritating was that they were at our place for like 4 or 5 days doing the work. It seemed like they were kind of taking their sweet time which I didn't care about, but when it was time to finish the project, they just left in a hurry. There was not walk through. Nothing. They just popped smoke and vanished. Leo said they had an emergency to take care of... why it takes 4 guys to coordinate moving a dumpster that's blocking a fire lane is beyond me. Basically they just didn't wanna do the walk-through and disappeared. Some of the grass did not match. He said it's because of the way the grass lays down. I don't know about that. Overall, just bummed that he didn't offer better advice for having the grass go all the way up to our back door, cause he should have known that our little dog was too much for that grass. read more

I highly recommend working with Luxe Landscapes. We are so pleased with the work that was performed and Leo (the business owner) was great to work with. He was reasonable while we worked through challenges and the communication was clear the whole way through the process. We were in a tough situation. We needed a retaining wall built on the side of our yard facing the alley. We had worked with a previous contractor who stalled several months, took our money, dumped a mountain of dirt in our driveway and didn't complete the project. Our yard was basically falling into the alleyway and the city was on our case to have it fixed. I called several contractors to bid the remainder of the project. Leo understood the situation and was eager to help. He quickly removed the dirt from our driveway and promptly gave us options for how to build the retaining wall within our budget. His staff was just as pleasant and easy to work with. The 100 ft long concrete retaining wall that Luxe built is perfect. I have had two prior landscapers try to correct the drainage and get grass to grow in my backyard to no avail. See before pic attached.Then I called Leo with Luxe Landscape. He immediately replied to my request to review my drainage correction request and provided his expertise regarding my inquiry into artificial turf for a putting and chipping area. It was a pleasure to have them around. During the construction itself I had a few minor concerns. (I tend to be a fussy person at times.) Leo listened to my concerns seriously and pleasantly made any adjustments needed to satisfy me. During the work these men were very considerate to our home. Some construction concerns ignore that they are working with someone's home and just consider it as a jobsite. In our past working with other construction companies after they have finished their work they left trash and cigarette butts around for us to clean up. This wasn't the case with Leo and his men. We are very happy with the end result of our artificial turf install. The vendor/installer were both great to work with Purchase Green (Saray Rosales - 2144536820) and Luxe Landscapes. Leo from Luxe was very responsive and able to give me a reasonable quote based off pictures. He also did a quick walkthrough and asked detailed questions prior to his install. It was obvious he cared about getting the job done right the first time. His crew showed up right on time and finished the job in 1 day (originally expected 2). They did a good job with providing a gradual slope for drainage. They also capped the sprinklers in this area since the hard water can actually cause some build up on the grass. Sadly, I had to change my review downgrading Luxe Landscapes to one star. A few months after the job was finished, I discovered that Leo's team had used some old, inexpensive weed control cover that my husband had purchased in one of the new beds instead of the heavy plastic that we paid for. They also apparently did not do a good job in that bed of removing some of the roots. Needless to say, we are combatting a lot of new growth in that bed. I contacted Leo twice regarding this issue and have not heard back. Very disappointing. Leo and his team did excellent work and at a reasonable price. They worked quickly and neatly.
