Beef with broccoli had an off flavor and the rice for all 3 of the orders was extremely overcooked and just mush. Not fried rice at all. So many great things to say about this place! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food was amazing. They have a decent amount of seating inside with artwork done on the walls by the owner. Their current lunch special is such a great deal! The crab and cheese wontons are the best I've ever had. Super fresh, perfectly crispy, and full of flavor, not processed tasting at all. My partner usually avoids them for that reason and even they loved them. The orange chicken was another standout. Love supporting local establishments but in this case some of flavor profiles weren't my personal favorite. We ordered broccoli beef. It was my favorite among what we ordered. The broccoli and beef was fresh and delicious. The beef quality was really nice and hadn't been velveted to be weird and mushy like so many establishments do. The brown sauce was delicate but flavorful. I even drizzled it on the noodles we ordered. We also got chicken lo mein and it was very bland. Chicken was all dark meat and there was just no sauce and no flavor at all. Nonetheless it tasted fresh and the noodles were nice. The sesame chicken was crispy and had good but basic flavor... and also not white meat chicken. I'd have made a different selection if I was aware of that. We also tried their crab cheese wontons. For me these were too crabby in flavor but I'm not a huge seafood person. For seafood lovers these would be great. Service was fast and helpful despite there being a fair bit of crowd inside over the weekend. If in the area, I'd definitely go again and try different selections to see what is most tasty to me and try requesting white meat in a dish I'm interested in. We went for the famous lunch special for $10. I had sesame chicken. My husband had Mongolian beef. The chicken was amazing...really, really nice white Meat with a lighter breading than most. The sweet-and-sour sauce was really good. I'm a little nutty and I don't like a lot of sweet and my sweet-and-sour and it was a perfect mix of both. My husband had a lot of beef in his Mongolian beef. The texture was good. The vegetables were crisp, and the flavor was spot on. I might want to add that my husband is Chinese and I made him come here because I wanted to see what all the hype was about he thoroughly enjoyed it, and there was nothing left on his plate. Have been ordering from this restaurant for over 20 years and loved it!!! However, it has changed in the past year and service has gone down. We were able to call and put in an order with specific requests, they don't do that anymore. We have had to go in person a couple of times just to put in for an order...no more delivery!! In addition, they do not update their menu and some items are no longer available. I also noticed a lot of people have been coming in to place orders.. what does that tell you? Upon ordering or picking up an order you will be greeted by the smiling staff, immediately following their helpful service. We ordered online (Picked Combo. It's your order with rice and an egg roll.) When we arrived it was packed up, ready to go and still warm! They offered us utensils, and made sure we were happy with everything. Once we got back to the car and closed the doors, it definitely trapped the tantalizing smells coming from the food. We got down the street (barely), stopped at a Gas Station and immediately began to dig in! Parked at the gas station just eating in complete silence for 15/20 min. All we could say after was WOW! This is a great, quirky little place. Fantastic lunch specials: my favorite, General Tso's Chicken, was perfectly crispy and spicy with plenty of vegetables. The owner is very friendly and shows genuine interest in his guests. The owner has created many of the wall decorations and even brings in flowers from his yard to brighten the tables -- one of the quirky things that adds to the charm is the flower "vases" are all reused containers originally for other purposes, like gummy bear vitamin bottles. read more

There's so many good things to say about this place! I went with my brother and his fiancée a few days ago and it was amazing. They're SO nice and friendly and just have amazing service. They have flowers from their personal garden on each table and they gave us drinks for free--not even they insisted we take one. The staff is pleasant, the food is hot and fresh and the price has always been reasonable. They do free delivery in the Bear Valley area and that is much appreciated.
