Disgusting food, never again! Chicken fried rice had no flavor, no eggs in it. Chicken looked like rubbery.

Really 3.5 stars at the moment and will update in the future. The dishes seem to be really hit or miss. Have ordered takeout from here a few times. The teriyaki chicken bento box is pretty good and a good deal. Didn't love the Shumai that comes with it. The hibachi chicken is really good but the noodles and rice that come with it are bland. The hibachi sauces are great to spruce up the other dishes. The last time we ordered we went for pineapple fried rice with chicken and it was inedible. The chicken was white and tasteless. We ordered chicken phad Thai, beef fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken to go. None of them were all that good. The chicken phad Thai noodles were white, undercooked, and lacking flavor. The chicken was dry, bland, and very sparse throughout the dish. The egg was not mixed in either, just a yolk sitting to the side. The beef fried rice was undercooked; the beef was good but the rice wasn't flavorful, I had to add soy sauce to enjoy it. For the sweet and sour chicken, the chicken alone wasn't bad whatsoever. The sauce however tasted like ketchup, it didn't taste like there was any sour added to it and the container was only half full for an entire plate of chicken. Maybe it's because I'm very used to how these dishes are made, but the meal wasn't fulfilling at all and I won't be returning. I got the chicken hibachi dinner tonight, I've gotten the salmon before; so beyond delicious. And they give you SO much food. A huge platter of fried rice, noodles, vegetables and chicken- all very fresh and the hibachi sauce is flavorful. I got mine with just fried rice. Just traveled home after being away from NY for three years, was excited to have Jade again as I remember it being good. I ordered the Tofu and Broccoli with brown sauce thinking that was a pretty safe bet. Flavors are really good but unfortunately the Tofu shows up completely raw unless you specify that you want it fried. I never, in all my travels and ordering of Tofu, have experienced this. Maybe this is a traditional thing that I am unaware of? I'm open to finding out and learning something new but as of right now I had to spend 20 minutes cooking the tofu for myself. It's about time I write a review for this amazing restaurant! I wanted to wait until I actually sat down and ate there but I just order from them too much to not leave a good word. I truly believe that I'm in the process of trying everything on their menu. First, please get the Chicken Satay. You will NOT be disappointed. Their chicken is freshly made and extremely flavorful and the sauce that comes with it makes it taste even better. Second, the Thai fried rice is one that I can take or leave. You just have to make sure you have hot sauce in your bag (swag.. sorry I had to). It just had no taste to me and I've ordered it multiple times. Third, the Chicken Negimaki was also delicious and that is one of my recommended dishes. Again, flavorful with the right sauces. Fourth, you must order the Pork Gyoza at least once. I didn't know if I would like it or not but my tastebuds told me to be adventurous so I ordered it. Let's just say, I ordered it again after the first time (plus one for soy sauce with it). Fifth, I wouldn't really recommend the Lobster Avocado Salad... It just wasn't for me but whatever doesn't work for me may work for you. Today, I ordered the Shrimp Shumai and Chicken Katsu. Ugh. I've gotten delivery from this place a few times. The food is great, came in a timely manner and was correct. Nice assortment of Thai, Japanese and Chinese. I made the mistake however of ordering Pineapple Fried Rice without knowing everything that was in it and when it came it had curry in it. I was pretty disappointed and ended up just giving it to a friend. But if you absolutely hate certain things, just make sure it's not an ingredient in what you're ordering! read more

A while back, we ate at Jade Bistro and it was a gastronomic delight. We don't get there too often, so we haven't been there in a long time. Due to the Coronavirus, we picked up our dinners to go tonight. My wife had chicken & broccoli and I had chicken & cashews. My wife said her chicken was bland, with no taste and there was a great deal of vegetables in her dish, along with the br. Although they told me I got chicken & cashews, they forgot to mention that the chicken would be tasteless and that I'd get about 1/3 cup of green & red peppers. In addition, I had a large amount of cut carrots, I think bok chow and zucchini. (see photo). As for the cashews, if I had more than about 12-15 cashews, I would have been shocked. This MUST be a different owner, since our last visit was memorable, with good service and great food. WHAT HAPPENED??? The dishes tonight were lukewarm at best and tasteless, with small amounts of chicken and a large amount of vegetables to fill up the dish. Jade Bistro is not my usual Chinese restaurant, but with my regular place closed closed I decided to give it a try. I have to say, it might very well become my go-to. We ordered fried dumplings, boneless spare ribs, cold sesame noodles, General Tso's chicken, and broccoli with garlic sauce. We also got hot and sour soup and Wonton soup. Everything was delicious. I especially liked that the dumpling wrappers were light. So many times they are too doughy. The General Tso's chicken is white meat chicken. The boneless spare ribs, which I usually don't like, were so good I had seconds. Not fatty, and a nice amount of sauce. The broccoli with garlic sauce was crisp and tasty, with the right amount of kick. And the sesame noodles had just the right balance of sauce to noodles. I asked for no mushrooms in my hot and sour soup and that's what I got, which saved me the hassle of picking out the mushrooms. My husband said the Wonton soup was very good, and he is picky. I am going to have to agree with the last review. I like it better before the change, Japanese is ok... actually the sushi and lunch boxes are pretty good... But seems that the Chinese has gone downhill slightly. Still better than Jumbo.. But the staff friendliness and portions have gotten smaller and the price much higher. I take number one kitchen over here in terms of Chinese believe it or not. Japanese however is not bad at all and on par with some of the Japanese Restaurants in the area. Overall it is a reasonable place to take the family to dinner. Japanese is superior to some of the local PAN-ASIAN shops but the value and Chinese have taken a small hit. I have ordered hundreds if not thousands of dollars of food from here. I run an office around the corner and before Covid would order about 2 times a week for several people. I order my normal meal today for $90. What a disappointment. Like it wasn't even the he same place. I don't know if the pandemic let to needing to cut corners but after trying to reach out via phone and Facebook I didn't know where else to contact someone. The first two pictures are chicken... NOPE actually supposed to be sashimi white tuna. Next is the avocado lobster bomb appetizer. It used to be delcious chilled lobster sales inside avocado. I highly recommend NOT coming here. We came with a group of 6 of us, empty place so we sat no problem. Despite us being the only people here, every time we asked for something the woman looked as stressed as if the restaurant was packed. Drinks took forever, the soda was flat. We had to get our own small plates from the counter because they never came. Everything came out one at a time, including the meals so people were done before others got their meal. Chicken was rubbery and barely edible. Sushi was so so, the rock and roll was good at least and salmon sushi was another solid choice. I have came back to Jade Bistro a number of times since my last review. The staff knows my friends and I, as well as our typical orders off the bat. Customer service has always been good to us, especially since we qualify as regulars. Serving sizes are large enough we can split an entree (often a plate of some sort of noodle) easily between two people and sparingly among three or more. Taste has never been lost and my friends are quite a fan of their liquor arrangement (plum wine especially). Prices are a bit high, but quantity has yet to drop. We have never left unsatisfied. I have ordered from here off GrubHub once. Delivery was very fast, and the duck rolls were very tasty. They were tiny, but man was the bird cooked well. Sushi was not the highest quality, and neither was the entree. Delivery, unfortunately, was of lower quality to dining in. However, this has not deducted my ratings. read more

Tried the food here for the first time after a friend's recommendation and it was a complete bust. The shrimp and lobster sauce was so thick and gelatinous it was bizarre and inedible. And the online ordering menu listed the ingredients for the chicken lettuce wraps as celery, bell peppers and onions but what I got was a ton of frozen peas and carrots. In all fairness I did notice the printed menu in the restaurant said peas and carrots, but had I seen that online I would not have ordered it. It has zero flavor as well. I do actually like this place. I come here often with my girlfriend when i take her out to lunch on her well... lunch break. We usually get the 2 or 3 roll lunch special for their pretty solid and low price of 10.95??? i think thats it. I thoroughly going here to get my sushi fix when I am not in the mood to devour a school of fish in one serving at a buffet. This place will definitely do. I do not understand the lower reviews than a 3 star. But then again i'm looking at when they were posted and they have around 2 years ago.. I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THEY SOLD CHINESE FOOD.
