Food was hot and okay. Egg roll a bit soggy, lo mein was okay but on the greasy side. Nothing was missing and all the condiments were in the bag. Not sure why there are bad reviews and complaints about timing. Jun lung even on busier nights has never taken longer than 20-35 minutes after placing a takeout order. Delivery is just as efficient even on weekends, with the expected peak dinner times. I've always enjoyed their Chinese food and sushi and they have great lunch deals. Our go to is the steamed veggie dumplings, general tso's chicken, and an array of their sushi. I have it been there to eat since before Covid we always prefer takeout it's easily located in central mahwah. Parking is a breeze as they have their own lot with ample space. read more

Staff wasn't the most kind and they had attitude but the food was good. The food isn't oily and doesn't feel as unhealthy as food at other chinese food restaurants. Really great takeout for Chinese and Sushi. From orderring for two to orderring for twelve, Jun Lung keeps it quick, accurate, and really quality food. Their delivery is quick and efficient. I don't personally eat Chinese but my family has raved about it. I loved their Yellowtail Jalapeno appetizer, its super fresh and delicious. The Phoenix Roll is also a consistent favorite. The Wonton soup was flavorful & filling, along with the Szechuan dumplings. Some other rolls we got were the Iso Maki, Golden Dragon, Pink Lady, and Good Time Roll. All had their own flavor profile which was really enjoyable to jump around from roll to roll. Definitely continuing to order from there! read more

I have been taking out from Jun Lung for over 20 years and last night my take out order left me very unhappy. I have most times ordered Lemon Chicken and it was always dipped in a batter, but last night it was simply covered with bread crumbs and was a total disappointment. The chicken was nasty meat with fat and tough pieces. The sweet and sour pork meat was half tender and half tough and seemed to have gristle in it (or something gristle-like). The quality of their dinners has been going down hill for some time and after this meal, I'm done. It is such a disappointment. read more

Got the schezuan beef. 4 hours later all hell was unleashed. Woke up around around 1:30am freezing cold, dizzy and nauseous. The effects of food poisoning soon followed with a vengeance. It is now Saturday and I'm still not close to 100%. Now, I got food poisoning in Africa after eating lamb stew so I know a thing or two about food poisoning. This is the worst I've had. Very disappointing meal from Jun Lung. I got eggplant with garlic sauce and they left a huge eggplant stem in the meal. The stir fried string beans were drenched in brown sauce which is not how it's usually done. The shrimp with mushrooms and snow peas hardly had any mushrooms. If you live in Northern Bergen County and bordering Rockland County than you already know about Jun Lung. It really is a staple here in the Suffern, Mahwah and Ramsey area. Their food is always consistent, always good and delicious. They offer sushi as well and let me tell you, the sushi is just as good as the food off their regular menu. The take out arrives just as good. Hot and perfect! This is my go to Chinese spot when I'm at work. Lunch specials come with soup or an egg roll. Delivery is always on time and the order is always correct. What more could you ask for?? One of the strangest and frankly worst Chinese restaurants in the area. We ordered from Jun Lung on seamless- and while the food was on time and hot- it was not good. The fried rice was yellow- like Spanish rice yellow. The taste of it was greasy and bland. But that was probably the best part of the meal. The general tso's chicken came with barely any chicken (maybe 4 slivers of chicken breast. And I say slivers and not chunks because it was also not fried- which I didn't really care about except it made it seem like it wasn't the right order but the receipt confirmed it was our order. The egg rolls were also bland and the boneless spareribs were sickly sweet. It was all highly disappointing. I gave it 2 stars because the food came on time and was edible- albeit not desirable. Quick lunch service. Friendly staff. I enjoyed the sesame chicken combo but felt that there wasn't very much steamed rice with my meal. Other than that I was happy with our food and service received. It is a little hidden spot. Oh and in the parking lot a lady who had been dining at the same time as us made sure to express distaste because they charged her more than $1 for tea. I am very disappointed with my last order. I decided to order sushi which I was very skeptical about to begin with. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a shrimp avocado roll. The shrimp avocado was fine but the spicy tuna was disgusting. It was definitely NOT tuna. It had the consistency of jello and tasted teriyaki. If I could give this establishment a zero I would. Ordered food over the phone at 5:50 PM 9/23/21 3 small orders with $30, was told an hour. I was fine with that since I knew it was dinner time. 7:01 PM comes and no food. I call back and they tell me 15 minutes. 7:20 PM comes no food. I told them to forget it and the lady on the phone continued to rush me off telling me she was sorry. I said to her that this is unacceptable being that it was now 1 hour and 30 minutes since the order was placed. I explained that if I knew it was going to be this long then I wouldn't have ordered. She said she was sorry have a great day bye. I had to say I'm in the middle of speaking why are you rushing me off the phone. She continued to rush me off the phone two more times. Finally, she said I'll tell my manager to call you, considering we order there often. No manager calls. 7:39 PM the driver pulls into my driveway with my food. I explained that I did not want it and he said they gave me 20% off. I said okay how much is it now $25. I proceeded to explain I wanted to talk to the manager and he had no idea what happened. The poor delivery driver. While I still paid the $25 because I felt bombard and overwhelmed, I felt that their customer service was poor. On top of this, the food was very cold that we had to heat it up. While I understand that weather can delay food, if a business can not provide service they should simply not accept orders. For a family who orders from there often, we will be going elsewhere. It is not worth the disrespect and the person on the phone needs to be nicer to those who may be expressing a problem. Sesame beef and General Tso's Chicken appeared to have been thrown together using the same sauce and overcooked broccoli, except the sesame beef had seeds thrown on it. I get my nails done next door to Jun Lung and have driven by a thousand times. Today is the day I decided to try it. The ordering process is taken by a female drill Sargent reminiscent of the soup Nazi on Seinfeld. I ordered two spring rolls, and curry chicken. The spring roll was really a smaller version of the egg roll but it was good. I ordered the curry chicken due to the fact it said spicy. It had some heat but I would not categorize it as spicy. It was also good. One negative, only one fortune cookie. Really? Two people but one fortune cookie. Does this mean I must share my good fortune. They didn't label which rolls were which, and despite us ordering 2 different rolls (2x Spicy Salmon and 1x Spicy Tuna) they put all 3 in one container and they all looked exactly alike. Just driving south on Franklin Turnpike comming from my attorney's office in Suffern and pissed off at the world. Glanced to the right and saw the "Chineese Food-Sushi Specials" sign and decided to have a quick lunch and calm down. Simple decor, lots of parking (large lot at the rear) very friendly although very busy (always a good sign) at noon Fri 12/16/11. Ordered Sushi/Shasimi combo which came with very good, nice and smoky tasting, Mizo and a large tasty salad. Don't order ice tea, they serve Lipton @ $1.85 not worth the money, get homemade hot tea or a soda instead. Both Combo lunch and accompaning salad were fresh and tasty. I was impressed when the waiter delivered the $13.70 check, which was a bargain for the amount of good food that I received, and said "Finish your paper, no hurry, take your time." I really like Bada in Tallman better but Jun Lung is equal in every way also 10-15% cheaper. I'll definately go back. read more

A nice place for Chinese-American Style food. This palce is consistent and has a large menu, including a sushi bar. The only problem is that delivery AND when picking up your food, they always tell you a time that is wayyyyyy wrong. I typically add 20 minutes to any time that they tell me food will be ready. Surprised I hadn't reviewed this place already. I order delivery about once a week. The food is good quality, and very tasty. If I must list a downside it is the delivery seems to be a bit slower than most other places. If you told me it was because the food is prepared to order with little pre-preparation. I would believe it. As I said the food tastes great, and the people there are very friendly and helpful. The price is slightly higher than others but well worth it. I would say the average dinner for two with an appetizer costs my wife and I maybe 2 or 3 dollars more than a similar order elsewhere. But the difference in quality is like comparing a fast food burger place to a fine steakhouse. read more
