Lunch at Jackson's. Calamari was crispy & hot & not over cooked or chewy. Came with a generous serving of marinara sauce for dipping. It was a Wednesday so happy hour is 4 to 6 and they do have some very nice drink and appetizer specials at happy hour. I had a melon margarita and an espresso martini. The bar burger was large & cooked to the proper temperature with lettuce & tomato. The bartenders and servers and host is here have always been very friendly. They do have the doors open to the patio in summer so you do even get a breeze if you're sitting at the bar or you can sit outside under the umbrella tables. They do get crowded in the evenings and on weekend evenings, especially. This restaurant is located in a hotel and it is next to another hotel so there are definitely local regulars as well as tourists who frequent this establishment. Part of the Hilton Garden Inn hotel (near the Beaver Valley Mall), it has its own outside entrance. The modern decor looks brand new. We sat at one of the comfortable booths along the window. The garage door walls are open in good weather to the large patio. We all ordered off the large lunch menu. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavors of the Salmon BLT and it was under $20. Amanda provided friendly and attentive service. Other than pulling into the hotel parking lot, it didn't feel like a hotel restaurant. We will definitely be back again. read more

We arrived as a party of 6 for my birthday dinner. My mom made a reservation for 5:15pm as the 5pm was not available. We were seated quickly. It's clean inside and love the decor. It feels very elegant and warm. The restaurant was pretty dead for a Saturday evening. We were all surprised. Service is a little on the slow side but our waitress was great. She was very nice and attentive. We started with the fresh warm bread they placed on the table with butter and onion butter. So good! Love fresh warm bread. They brought us a second basket cause we ate it so fast lol. We ordered the ahi tuna appetizer and a bottle of wine to share for the table. The cabbage slaw it came with was very good! A little spicy sauce added flavor. The tuna itself was disappointing. It was very dry. I would not order this again and do not recommend it. Was considering the calamari and I wish I went for it! For the entree, I ordered the grilled salmon. It came with a sweet potato hash and Brussels sprouts. The salmon was very good. I like it cooked a little more but that's on me, I should've requested it. Very fresh and flavorful. Cooked throughout. The Brussels sprouts were SO good! Very flavorful, perfectly salted and crunchy tips. Just how I love them! The sweet potato hash was also very good. Love the rosemary seasoning and onion mixed in. I couldn't finish them haha but wanted to! Took them home. My daughter told our waitress it is my birthday and they surprised me with a delicious warm brownie with whip cream and a candle. My daughter's bridal shower was in the Hilton Garden's banquet room. The Service from Beverly, Kaylee, Yvette & Nathan were above and beyond. Had a large group at Jacksons. The food was ok for me but all the other guests said it was awful. The prime rib was fatty and cold. The pork chop was dry and tasteless. Service was just very slow. Went two nights in a row bc the dinner was pretty tasty however with 2 apps, 2 entrees and 4 shots was 169$ the next evening we went in for 2 beers and 4 shots after a 15 hr work day and somehow it came to $176 tell me they didnt rip us off?!! I really like the atmosphere at Jacksons. My overall rating is a 31/2. A 3 for the food and an extra 1/2 for the atmosphere. We came here with my in-laws for lunch and they have a lot of nice lunch options to chose from. Service was good and attentive. I ordered the Southern salad with an added salmon protein and my husband ordered the Italian hoagie which he said was very good. The only thing I wish they did is ask how I wanted my salmon cooked. I prefer mine cooked to a perfect medium. My salmon was cooked to a medium well to well done so it was overcooked for my liking. My mother in law's salmon and rice pilaf was cooked to a well done and looked very dry. read more

Was doing some Black Friday shopping and was looking for something for dinner that was close by. I hardly ever go to Beaver Valley Mall but this place is now giving me reason to come out there more often. Our server Amanda was awesome! In addition to tables, she was also taking care of the bar and never missed a beat with any of the customers. She was really friendly, answered any question about the menu, and she's also super cute! I am completely shocked how good this place was. Be prepared for just a ton of compliments on this place. It started with the bread, why am I talking about bread? The pesto-butter, it's really good. There is plain homemade white bread and also this homemade bread with cheese, kinda like a pizza. Mix either with the pesto-butter for magic. I rarely get soup, but the menu said they are known for a shrimp and chorizo soup. Yup, it was great. I had to pace myself because I knew my steak was coming. Between bread and soup I could have filled up. Finally the filet came out and it was perfect. May be one of the best steaks I have ever had. There is a butter drizzle with (I think) bacons bits on the top of the steak. Just excellent flavor. The sides weren't anything special, the potatoes were fairly cold and the carrots were just there. But it didn't matter because the star of the dish, the filet was insanely good. You gotta try this place and order the soup and get the filet. read more

My sister and I went to brunch today 6-22-25 and had a horrible first visit experience. She got banana waffles and the waffles were cold. We sent them back, they had been reheated and then forgot to put the fruit back on them so they had to go back again. After that my potatoes were cold and I was also told they could not make an Omelette without onions because the vegetables were already mixed together ( pre packaged??) No cook ever apologized or offered a discount It was all put on the waitress, who was stressed at this point. What a horrible first experience. We will never be back there. Visited Jackson's prior to a concert at Star Lake since we were staying at the neighboring hotel. I was initially worried that we were underdressed in our outdoor concert attire as the hostess kind of gave us a once over when seating us. We were the only patrons in the place so it really didn't matter anyway. My son and I both enjoyed the Garlic Chicken with broccolini, my husband had the pepperoni flat bread. I ordered a Margarita without salt...that came promptly WITH salt which I drank anyway...that always annoys me. Besides that snafu, the service was fine. Not sure what the atmosphere is like when it's busier, but it was dead around 5 on a Saturday. read more

Jackson's could be a five star review on Yelp, but it seems like every time there is something small keeping them getting a 5...I do not give many 5s!!! We went to dinner for our anniversary. I had potato soup...wonderful...and the appetizer of filet tips with risotto and a very flavorful chutney. My husband had the salmon with a risotto cake and corn salad. He liked his dinner, but we thought it was odd that the salad had no dressing on it. He actually added the dipping sauce for the bread that had rosemary and thyme on it...it was a great quick thought! read more

I ordered Jacksons from a delivery service. Overall I feel like we had a good meal. We got 3 appetizers to share. 1 was fantastic, 1 was good, and 1 was not good. Filet tips 5/5! This was the first time i had risotto and I really enjoyed it. I don't think the portion size was enough to share, atleast not in delivery. But the risotto was amazing, the filet was flavorful and tender. But the best thing was that chutney, i would eat that on anything. Candied Ribs 3.5/5 They were very tender and well cooked, but i wouldnt say mine were candied at all. They were a little lacking on glaze/sauce/flavor. The cornbread was a tad dry but very yummy. Overall, just needed more sauce and flavor. Brussel Sporuts 2/5 I give a 2 because i could tell they would have been yummy had they been cooked. The parmesan was melty and the balsamic drizzle was delicious, the problem is that none of the brussels were cooked, none of them. The outside leaves were wilted and charred, but on the inside it was bright green and raw. Super crunchy and unappetizing. Dissappointing because its not a cheap place and we just threw this whole dish away. Overall i think ill order again, but i probably wont chance the veggie dishes. read more

There was an awesome 3 piece band, the food we ordered was great and the service we received from Sydney and Bob was professional and very friendly. Just had lunch here. Marci is phenomenal! She's the gold standard. Just exactly what you desire a server to be like. And then there is the food. People talk about it being pricey, but you get what you pay for ... well prepared, very tasty and huge portions. Perfect place for any meal. Only one downside ... they are closed on Sunday. Finally, I looked at some of the other reviews here ... I like the fact that the owner reads them and responds. They truly care and work hard to give you a wonderful experience. I'll be honest: I had pretty average expectations going in to this restaurant. It's a hotel restaurant so I was expecting banquet quality, mediocre food at best. But we had a gift card, so why not try it out? I am here to eat my words, while I reminisce about the amazing meal I just had here! First, service was great. Our waiter was sweet and attentive, but not overbearing at all. I had a cranberry apple sangria (Valentine's day special), which was perfectly balanced. For an app, we went with the calamari, which is one of those dishes I ALWAYS try when it's on the menu. Theirs was perfectly fried; tender and lightly crisp. The dinner is where I was blown away. My hubs had the New York strip, and I had the pork chops, and we split the crab & shrimp Mac n cheese. The steak, requested medium, was perfectly cooked, and seasoned. But lemme talk to you about the pork chops. HOLY FREAKIN YUM! SO tender, SO juicy, PERFECTLY grilled, and that bacon jam? Sent it over the edge. It was sweet, salty, a little charred, tender... just perfect. If I woulda been at home, I woulda sucked on the bone LOL but seriously, it's a dish I would order again, and again. And recommend to any and everyone. Both meals came with horseradish mashed potatoes, which were so delish; seasoning was on point, and the horseradish added a lovely little kick, but wasn't overpowering at all. The Mac n cheese was awesome as well. You can't really mess up Mac n cheese, but the addition of crab and shrimp just made it all the more special. Lastly, the portions were excellent. My dish came with two, 6ish-oz chops. I could only finish one, and half of the sides, so I was basically able to take a full meal home with me. All in all, I would absolutely visit this place again, and most definitely will be recommending it to anyone I can! read more
