I have been feeling nostalgic recently and every time I drive by a Texas Roadhouse I think about their Cactus Blossom. I finally gave in to the craving last night. As I was ordering online I remembered their rolls and i just couldn't pass them up. Food was ready on time. They have a dedicated team for take out, which I appreciate. The Cactus Blossom was delicious hot, crispy, salty petals and the Cajun dipping sauce is tangy and rich. The sweet cinnamon butter spread melted easily onto the warm soft rolls. I travel the country for work and eat at Texas Roadhouses everywhere, this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I've had a better steak from Waffle House. First one came out way overcooked, sent it back and second one came out and just did not taste good the quality of the meat and cook was horrible. Manager didn't seem hardly concerned about it at all, didn't offer any discounts or anything. Serve also was the same way. I've had a bad experience at a TR before and they have done all they can to make it right, these people could care less. read more

the waitlist idea is the best! we always use it and get seated within minutes of entry! love the 4-6pm dinner specials! $12.99 can't beat the price! grant was our waiter and he was fabulous! very attentive and made sure everything was perfect. as usual at any place with steak, I order medium and it is medium well. the steak was very tender and flavorful and I did not bother to mention it. Meh, the rolls were great (like always) and the potato skins were good, but everything else was sub par. The steaks weren't that flavorful. The Beef Tips were practically inedible because of all of the connective tissue running through them. And the mashed potatoes weren't even good. Somehow they were dry. I travel and frequently stop at TRH in many cities, as well as other low level chain restaurants; mainly because of location. This has to be the worst. The proprietor has his name above door when entering......word of advice; get your manager trained or show her the door. The bartender was overwhelmed the entire time I was there, manager couldn't help behind the bar, in fact; she was in the way. If you can't do underlings job, why are you manager....?? Review on service: My family and I came in to the Monaca location on 8/31 around 9:30p. We were taken care of by Mariyah (I hope I spelled her name right). She was such a breath of fresh air. The service was the best we have ever experienced at a TRH. Her personality was so inviting and personable. She stayed on top of our table making sure our drinks were refilled and our order was to our satisfaction. She even went above and beyond even after we checked out. Greeted and seated promptly in the bar area on a Saturday night around 8:30. Our waitress literally spoke a mile a minute, needless to say we felt rushed. The roadhouse has a vip reward program and we were told we would get a free appetizer if we signed up. We signed up and no email for a free appetizer and when we paid we did not get credit towards the rewards for our purchase. Food: My wife ordered bbq ribs and they were dry and over cooked. A solid 4 stars, mostly for the great service provided by our waitress, Krystal. The food gets closer to 3. The NY strip steaks were good, but the famous Cactus Bloom onion was not prepared correctly. The onion that they used was too big and the density did not allow the 'petals' to separate sufficiently to take the batter, which simply flaked off as soon as it was touched. The onion was also undercooked and put up too much of a fight to be enjoyed. Tip for any who are interested in getting it right...wet batter first, ensuring that the onion petals are spread out sufficiently for the individual petals to get coated down to the center. Finish with a *dry* coat of batter mix before cooking so that it sticks. A longer cook at lower heat will ensure it is done inside before the batter toasts. read more

I had a great experience at this Texas Roadhouse location. This is not the regular location we normally dine at, but we felt right at home. We were greeted when we walked in and sat right after. Our waitress came over only a couple minutes later to get our drink order. She was very sweet and did not rush us through our meal. Our table and the restaurant was extremely clean. The rolls were warm and the butter was just as tasty as it always is. The rolls and butter are my absolute favorite part of this restaurant. I asked for my vegetables with no melted butter because most of the time they are very buttery, and thankfully, the chefs did follow my request. On the other hand, the burger was very salty, but they always are when we order them. The manager came over to check on us about halfway through the meal which shows that they care. Texas Roadhouse is always a solid choice for lunch or dinner. read more

After 25 minutes, we noticed that people who came in after us were being seated. When I ask about our spot, I was told that we never checked in!!! Bullshit!!! I ordered everything online and I have to give this place props because it was an extremely impressive online system. They have options upon options and even more options that open when you click on any individual side or meal etc. - which is to say they had an options for every picky "this except without..." that my family had! Once I actually got to the restaurant, I just had to text him the word here and they came out with my food. Minus one star because it could've been a little faster...
