I stopped into Burger Hut 2 expecting a quick, easy visit since there was no one else inside. An elderly man politely asked the cook if he could make a simple request for his hot dogs. Instead of responding professionally, the cook snapped at him and said, "You're talking to me? Don't ever yell back here again?" -- even though he wasn't yelling at all. After that, she completely ignored him for the rest of the time. Watching an elderly customer be spoken to that way was upsetting and uncomfortable. Regardless of how busy or slow it is, there's no excuse for treating customers with that level of disrespect. Unfortunately, because of this interaction, I won't be returning. read more

The server Mercedes always has her child at work. She's offered us drugs before during her shift. Of course we denied but in an establishment she shouldn't offer. I would leave a review on the food but when I got there, (I checked the time before coming to the restaurant and it says on both their door and on Google that they close at 10 o'clock) but when I came in at 8 o'clock, I saw a waitress run to the door And lock it as I was stepping up so I would see a review on the food, but apparently they wanna close two hours early even though the lights are on and the sign says open and their sign says they close at 10 so I would leave a review on the food. This place looks sketchy and is as dive bar as you can get. The menu is held together by duck tape and the inside is a throw back to the 70s. But the blue burger I had was fantastic. Juicy, tasty, and so appetizing. They grind their Beef daily. The waitress was amazing. It was definitely a local favorite. I'll be back. read more

Where everyone is a regular. This is the classic diner and dive you look for in any home town. A true legend in the 16001, family waitresses are incredible, and service is fast and food was hot and made to order. Fries are the best and go for a side of pickles too. Gravy, chili, cheese all ready for the top or as a side. Super cheese burger is my go-to and I never share my fries! Good size cups and bottomless refills. Plenty of parking, restrooms a bit sporty. Side note--went after the Steelers lost the late Sunday night game, clientele was showing the wear, and breakfast was still being served after 1pm making up for Big Ben's night. Absolutely terrible experience here. There is a mother daughter waitress team that bickered back and forth the whole time. If they weren't going at each other, the mother was gossiping to customers about her daughter. Had to wait and get stared at for 5 mins until I said I was ready to order... The daughter is just learning and I'm so disappointed to hear the mother sabotaging her. Got a simple double cheeseburger and fries, that took 15 minutes to get out to me. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it was a cheap, greasy burger which was exactly what I was looking for... Though it wasn't as cheap as I had hoped. read more

During busy mornings, the place is filled with smoke and cheap food. It has appeal for an older generation, but not for the young crowd unless they just want cheap food. The cheese omellete tasted okay though, but there are other options of restaurants that are more appealing to me. read more

Have gone there twice for dinner in the past couple months and both times the food was good and service even better. Burgers made with fresh ground beef, a lot of side options and the grilled cinnamon bear claw all make it worth the trip. The only knock I have is the temperature fluctuates from chilly to warm and that's why I didn't give it 5 stars. Looking forward to my next trip to Butler. read more

EW! We were in a hurry , and this place was convienient. I watched this greasy lookin guy with food (?) all over his clothes, cook my food w/no gloves on, first of all. The servers were like 85 years old and had no personality... i tried to make a joke about something one of them said, and they just stared at me... awkward silence.... They don't accept credit cards, Everyone else in there was a senior citizen, i guess seniors must not mind having a dirty fat guy w/greasy hair and no gloves cook their food. We recently visited this place out of curiosity. We ordered the basic hamburgers for our first visit. The burgers tasted like burnt wet newspaper that had been prepared on a greasy, filthy grill. I am not sure what the cook thinks a hamburger should look like but ours were too small for the bun, which is likely a result of their oblong shape and absurd thickness for the quantity of meat offered. Even the topping were bland. I'm not sure how one gets bad lettuce and tomatoes in August, but somehow this place did. Perhaps they were in storage? The atmosphere is cramped, stuffy, and loud. You can hear everyone else's conversation whether you want to or not. The waitress was alright, but the loudmouth cook could be heard blabbing on and yelling in the back. Maybe he could spent more time trying not to burn a flavorless hamburger meat blob instead of going on absurdly in the back for everyone to hear. Service was somewhere between abrasive and downright unpleasant. Ordered salad, fries and burger. Salad was fresh iceberg lettuce with onions & green peppers and dressing in a packet. Fries were good, served hot and crisp. The burger, served on a "discount" bun with the regular cast of extras, disappointed: overdone and lacking flavor. I know that the burger hut had 2 buildings and the waitress make different amounts at both places. The morning waitresses make a few bucks less and hr than the girls that work the evening shifts due to tips being better in the morning. " how fair is that" i have heard and seen the owners messages and phone conversations to employees. And if i were one of these people i would seek legal advise. He doesn't pays his employees the same wages every pay period. He is going of off of hear say from other employees are saying which are teenage girls mind you. and that's how he justifies the wage deduction. Last i checked that was illegal. I have been a customer of Burger hut for almost 50 yrs. NO MORE !!!! I have been treated rudely, lied to, overcharged and basically been pissed on and pissed off for the last time! I have watched the employees control the closing times by not answering the phones/turning off ringer, I drove there to physically place an order and told the waitress I had been calling for almost an hour, she snickered and said "oops". They are telling phone customers that the grill is off an hour before closing time! Both stores used to be open 24 hrs., and they were busy. Then, customers began being turned away and closing time was Midnight. Customers were treated worse, turned away by idiot employees that didn't want to work late. GET A DIFFERENT JOB! Now both close at 8 and 9 and customers are still being turned away!!! NOT ANYMORE!! Every time I order food there, the price is different because apparently they are trained by lazy co-workers and not Mgt. The last straw was being told a super cheeseburger ,w/no toppings, was just shy of $10.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for carryout! Lube up and shove it hard!! read more

I am from N.J. & when i'm in town I go every chance I get. The service is excellent and quick, & the burgers are cooked from fresh as ordered & taste great. Maybe Mark would feel more at home at McDonalds. As for Nikole, maybe she's a little too "high class" to eat in such a small crowded dive where you can acually see the person cooking your food. I do apologize for calling this restaurant @ 9:20 to place a pick up order!! They close at 10! I was treated as if I called at 9:58 and asked them for a 7 course meal! The gentleman was very rude and sighed a lot as if I was bothering him. Oh I'm sorry your grill is clean and your fryers are off already! Maybe you should understand that if a restaurant does not close until 10 and someone walks in or calls at 9:50 to order food it's your job to cook it. Since I have been in the restaurant biz for over 20 yrs myself and as respect and courtesy I would never wait to order food 10 minutes prior to closing time. But 40 minutes....umm yea because that's more than enough time to cook my burger and you to close shop in time to go drink your beer! And as for my food? It was disgusting!! You must of just left the weight on my burger the entire cook time because it was like cardboard!!
