Breakfast menu

Friday mid morning breakfast. 50% capacity. Poor service. I requested the famous Humongus" cinnamon roll. Waitress gasped in an exasperated manner. Not sure, but the $2 cinnamon roll was a deal and an original 1974 item. Water tasted like metal.

I was staying the night near the outlets in Mercer and saw this was about 7 miles away and I'm always interested in local breakfast joints, so I drove to give it a try. I got there around 6AM and the only employee was busy in the kitchen, but there were two guys enjoying coffee and discussion when I went in (customers) and they told me to grab a seat, which I did. A minute later, the lady from the kitchen hustled out, grabbed the coffee urn and a menu and came to me. She's an efficient worker, so I knew this would be a decent experience! I opted for their "McDougall" and a side of corned beef hash. She went in the back and whipped this up rather quickly and the sandwich (bacon egg & cheese) was excellent! The bacon was exactly how I like it cooked and the egg was spot on! The corned beef hash was decent, but it was the typical "Hormel" style. Overall... Price, Service, Food was on par with what I enjoy from a local diner like this, so I was happy. Would I come here with higher expectations or for more, probably not. But for what it is, it is a solid choice!!

Dirty silverware / dishes

This place used to be so great a couple years ago. Not sure what happened, but I keep giving it chance after chance and it lets me down everytime. Everything is cheap - therefore, you get what you pay for. Last couple times I have went, I had to either ask for a new cup and/or silverware since apparently it's hard to wash their dishes correctly. Sorry, I do NOT want to eat off of something with remnants of someone else's dried up food. Servers are a hit or miss. Place was amazing a couple years ago and keeps going downhill every year. Save your time, money, and hunger and go somewhere else. Or walk across the street and get Sheetz. Did not eat any of my food last time I went (never will go again) due to it having more than ONE hair in it. Went straight to cannella's in Butler to have real breakfast right after.

4 burnt pieces of meat along with 1 egg and 6 fries. Where's the edible bowl???? This was merely lettuce sprinkled on a plate.

Menus should be updated. Ordered a taco salad and a steak salad that are both advertised as served in edible bowls. They were able to notate a price increase due to the price of eggs so clearly if they are cutting costs they should notate that as well. I ordered based on the bowl to help satisfy my hunger. Besides hearing the lady cooking cursing left and right the place could use a thorough cleaning. The waiter took back both salads barely touched and didn't question a thing. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Street parking available. Inexpensive prices. Many breakfast options on the menu. Friendly service. Ordered an egg & cheese muffin and a cinnamon roll. Good flavors. Family friendly. They had both a booster seat & a child's high chair available.

I'm a really big fan of hole in the wall diners and this place fits the part ! The food is the only thing you could really complain about and it's not bad at all it's just not what some would consider "gourmet" it's very home style as if your mom or grandma whipped you up a hearty breakfast !! Staff was very kind atmosphere was my personal favorite, pretty small lots of old school booths set high up against the wall a handful of tables in the middle and a classic breakfast bar, also there cinnamon rolls are insanely good for only 1.50 you will be shocked when you see the size ! Would recommend and will definitely be back I'm sure

Our server was Dustin (or Justin, we weren't sure) who was terrific (ask for him to wait on you, if you can!) I had the Italian Panini which was so yummy! Also the side dish of loaded mashed potatoes with gravy ..... They were just okay. It was quite a cold night, so 3 of us had nice hot cups of tea served in these quaint handmade mugs! And I had a glass of homemade root beer ..... ya can't go wrong! The prices are reasonable: my tea, root beer, and Italian Panini were $25. I think very moderate. Reservations are highly recommended. You can make one online for a party of up to 6. Larger groups must be reserved over the phone. Highly recommend and I would give it more than five stars if I could!

We enjoyed our Cajun chicken pasta (4.5/5) and the buffalo chicken sandwich (4.5/5). The Backpack Stash IPA was really good and this is coming from someone who doesn't drink much beer. The walls had a lot of cool historical vintage photos and antique items. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We had really good friendly service (5/5). We recommend this restaurant! Happy Yelping :)

Examples of foods are omelettes, waffles, salads, corn dip, sandwiches, pork chops, steaks, salmon, and lobster ravioli. Drinks include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Catering is available. Through this restaurant's website, I made a reservation for dinner for my husband and me. Our table was available on time, and the seating hostess gave us a small table outside. I felt thankful that we were in the shade, because two other tables of customers had sun shining in their eyes. We enjoyed watching cats and horses roaming in the yard nearby. Our waitress had friendly communication but very slow service with errors. During our main course, she never checked in on us, so my husband never received salt that he needed. Furthermore, at the end of our meal, we waited a long time to receive our bill. She took our credit card and many minutes later gave us only an itemized slip, not the customer and merchant copies to sign. Many minutes later, we had to give her our credit card a second time, and she finally gave us the customer and merchant copies. My overall rating is still a positive 4 stars because the foods overall tasted very good. Our starter was the Bread Basket, which contained three types of bread--cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, and focaccia with dipping oil. My main course was Pistachio Glazed Salmon, which had moist salmon, a delicious pistachio-lime-cilantro glaze, and a side of coconut rice. I chose coleslaw as my side, and it was OK. My husband's main course was the Surf & Turf, which had a 6-ounce filet mignon cooked as requested, a jumbo lump crab cake that was very meaty, and mashed potatoes. His side was a tasty butternut-squash soup. The total price was $98 plus tax and tip.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! It's located on an unlikely farm country road, but is such a lovely farm to table restaurant. The menu contains soups, salads, sandwiches and entree. I tried the BBQ Center Cut Pork Chop and absolutely loved it. The chop was perfectly cooked and very very tender. The man chose the Surf and Turf Special, getting a filet and crab cake. He also had the roasted pepper soup that was served with homemade bread croutons. He had nothing but rave reviews for his meal. The decor is lovely - like a modern minimalist farmhouse. We also had live music and wine from Nova Winery with our meal. Georgetown Eats is a very special hidden gem of a restaurant and I am so glad we stopped. It's not huge, so consider reservations. Don't miss this amazing restaurant!

Lunch meeting at TimberCreek for the win!…read more My date and I spent the holidays at our respective families. We wanted to meet up for lunch and chose TimberCreek as it was about halfway from each other. The venue is built with a ski house or ski lodge style and houses a brewery with the operations underground which can be viewed from the glass floors in the middle. We were promptly seated and greeted. My date has a beer from the brewery and I went with their unsweet iced tea. We went with the TC Dua which consisted of a garlic like risotto with 1 scallop, 4 shrimps and 2 asparagus (see photo). Overall, the dish was acceptable had a good flavor. It would be nice to have another scallop for something like this. We then split a main entree which consisted of the Ahi Tuna (see photo). The dish itself was fine with a good amount of sauteed veggies underneath which made the dish better. All in the all, TimberCreek provided a nice venue with adequate food to enjoy!

I had not been here in a couple years and we only went here because we had tried another restaurant and there was an hour wait. I always liked the ambience inside this restaurant. It's across from the outlet mall & right off of I-79 in Grove City. They have a pretty big menu, and of course they have their own beers on tap & a woodfired oven for pizza. I had a patty melt with fries, which was actually very good, my husband and I split their zucchini plank appetizer, which was thin, sliced breaded, zucchini, and a dipping sauce. My husband got the fish sandwich which was a huge piece of fish and he got green beans instead of french fries and the green beans came in a really big bowl. It was almost enough for three people. It was the biggest side of green beans I had ever seen served with a meal & they were very good ! Our server was very friendly & efficient and she checked back often and she refilled my Diet Coke without asking actually four times! It's a solid choice for lunch or dinner, or just a drink at the bar.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION FROM START TO FINISH 10/10!…read more Perfection. Everything about Talbots is absolute perfection. I eat A LOT of food, and one common denominator I see among top-tier restaurants is that the owners and management are a direct reflection of the overall experience, quality, and taste. Talbots is no different. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, like lifetime friends. Our waitress, Teresa, was fantastic. She passed all the vibe checks and matched our energy immediately, all the signs of a veteran server you want guiding you through one of the best eating experiences of your life. She gave us her recommendations and left us to decide. We knew we were here for the #hashtagyouwont 36oz ribeyes, but we wanted to see what else was recommended since everything looked and sounded amazing. We decided to order a lot of food, almost everything that was recommended. This will be a bit of a long-winded review, but I'm sure the true foodies will appreciate it, so here we go: THE APPETIZERS The Brie: How can brie be so good that it deserves to be talked about first? I have no idea, but it was excellent. The strawberry-jalapeño jam, brie, candied pecans, baby naan, and fruit just worked so well together. An absolute hit. Pork Cheek Tacos: These melted in your mouth and exploded with flavor. They were also a really decent size, we were expecting little bite-sized tacos on a dumpling wrapper, but got two substantial tacos instead which was a pleasant surprise. Naan Bombs: Flat out delicious, and there were enough in the serving for everyone to have a few. Duck Wontons: So unique and flavorful. These were like little empanada explosions of flavor. THE MAIN EVENT: THE 36OZ RIBEYE When I tell you this was a perfect steak, this was a perfect steak. Cooked medium rare, oozing with flavor, and charred to absolute perfection on the outside. That is no easy feat with a cut this size, but somehow Talbot and crew made it seem like a walk in the park. Hidden under the steak, soaking up all the juices, are the house cut fries. I forgot they were even there because of the sheer size of the meat! By the time I discovered them, they were soaked with steak juice, but somehow remained crispy and soggy at the same time. It was brilliant, the fries almost had a poutine like aspect to them. Magnificent, completely unique, and made so much sense. As for the side of corn salad.... absolutely mind blowing. It just looked like corn with some sauce on it, nothing special at all. I am so sorry I underestimated you, Mr. Corn Salad. My God, this stuff was amazing. It didn't make sense to me, but I didn't care, I just kept shoveling it into my mouth. DESSERT We saved room for dessert (of course) and got three: The Chocolate Cake: A plate of pure, chocolaty goodness. Pecan Sweet Potato Pie: Spectacular. Coconut Cream Cheesecake: Wow. I am a sucker for coconut and cream cheese anything, and this checked every single box. THE VERDICT Throughout the night, we watched Talbot go up to each table to check in on everyone, and the chef even came out to talk to us. It was an absolute perfect meal top to bottom, start to finish. You can tell how much this entire establishment cares about what they do, and it is a direct reflection on the food. It's not often I can say a meal is flawless, so I have to give them their flowers in a long well deserved review. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a standing ovation for Talbots Taproom. P.s. Extra kudos for all the cool art and overall atmosphere. There is a ton of stuff to do outside as well but we were there on a chilly night so remained inside. We saw a patio, disc golf, and all sorts of other activities, even a tree house. We can't wait to make the hour trip again and enjoy all they have to offer once summer is in full swing!
