Service: Been there twice and the waitstaff was very attentive and polite both times, no complaints. Haven't sat at the bar but it looks inviting. Food: Wasn't bad but wasn't exceptional. The menu has a lot of great offerings but nothing I have tried was on par with say, other German inspired establishments in the area. Both times the food was sort of cold as well. I think with some tweaks and tuning it'll be better than other places in the area. My only other complaints were that the seating, although rustic, is rickety and uncomfortable. They were playing TOP 40 country music which was also sort of weird for how the place looks inside. I am pretty easy to please and feel the place has a ton of potential, with the right improvements and some marketing they will be extremely busy as it's probably one of the most unique eating establishments in the area.

Not a huge deal, just seems an odd choice. Our waitress was attentive but disinterested. When I asked for a beer recommendation, she told me she was more of a Miller Lite person and couldn't help. Our biggest issue came when our food arrived. My girlfriend's schnitzel came with roughly a tablespoon of jarred garlic on top, something none of us had ever seen in German food before. The beer cheese that came with the pretzels was not beer cheese but nacho cheese. Still ate it, I'm a fat guy, but another strike against authenticity (the mustard on the tables throughout is just Aldi brand mustard, too.) I ordered a veggie wrap that was so wet, it fell apart, required a fork to eat, and left my plate looking like I had ordered soup. The building is so nice inside and the surrounding part of Ambridge is beautiful. A ton of potential in this place, I'd love to see them try a little bit harder and soar. I live right across the river, I'd love to become a regular.

The second time, we walked in and the place stunk, not like the stink that breweries always get but like dirty taps and sewage. The menu was very expensive ($13 for a hot dog). And even though there were maybe 7 people there, we couldn't seem to get the bartenders attention. Eventually we just left, but I'm really disappointed. We used to love this bar.
