Upon sitting down we were greeted by the chef who stopped over at our table with a sample of his amazing Zuppa soup. Honestly you might need to make a special stop in just for his tasty soup on a chilly Fall day or following a day out with the family from the Patch. But hold on, the greatness doesn't stop there! The specials! So many good specials! This place is priced perfectly and the food pairs so well! My husband got the wing special that came with one of his favorite drafts. You seriously can't beat wings, fries and a beer for roughly $12! I got a half of the Philly cheese hoagie that came out loaded with all the yummy goodness and a side of soup. Our two little kiddos ate all their meals (need I say anything more there?)! Most of the tables were empty but they have a big bar and that is where most people sat. it really seems like most of the folks there are regulars. The bartender/server seemed to know them all by name. There were a couple families with smaller kids there too. I was hungry for wings an thought this would be a nice change and I remembered the wings here were decent. I bellied up to the bar and was quickly greeted. I ordered a beer and then a dozen wings. I found the wings to be a decent price. They had a ton of different sauces and dry rubs to choose from. One nice thing is that they allow you to split your order for different sauces. I took the suggestion of the serve and chose the house sauce and the chefs sauce. One was a spicy mustard based sauce, the other was a sweet and spicy sauce. For me the wings were cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy and on the more done side. The place seems clean and had a larger variety type food menu. Would definitely go again.

It took them over a year to renovate it and they still aren't done in the back and the parking lot is a little rutted but the inside is very nicely done. There is a huge bar and some high and low tables scattered throughout. The clientele is mostly locals and lot of laborers grabbing a drink and a bite to eat after working hard all day which was great to see. It's super casual and very open inside. We had a few beers and the bartender was good. She was attentive and was waiting on 20 folks at the bar as well as table drinks. The manager was able to help serve some food to help her out but never once asked us how everything was. That was a little bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion for a new business. We ordered a breakfast burger that came with some hashbrowns on the side. I assumed, which is my fault totally, that the burger would come with lettuce, tomato, etc. but it truly was JUST a burger, egg, and cheese and absolutely no other toppings. That was disappointing and I really wish the bartender would have asked if I wanted anything on it. I ended up using ketchup for moisture since she was so busy and I was hungry. :) The hashbrowns were frozen and fried so they were nothing special. I think this place has tremendous potential. Had the Isleys chipped ham sandwich which they serve warm with melted cheddar, grilled onions on a bun. However, they were gracious enough to make it for me cold, with Mayonnaise and a slice of cheese. This is unlike another place down the road (RI) from them that wouldn't adjust items on a sandwich for me last week. The waiter/bartender was super chill too, easy to talk to and basically good at his job. Our refills came quickly and without asking. He followed up to see what we wanted a couple times and the food arrived in a reasonable time (not much waiting at all). This was so very different from that same day where at our usually spot (another old bar/restaurant further down the road, "SJ") we had to walk out just after ordering lunch due to getting attitude from a mouthy waitress. Glad we decided to try this new spot! Great job! I think we found our new local "go to" bar/restaurant. Looking forward to it and to soon trying breakfast there on weekends too. I ordered the Dormont Honey and Buffalo sauce. The honey was the better of the two, with a sweet and tangy taste. The buffalo sauce wasn't very spicy and left me wanting more flavor from it. I did like the crispness of the skin and size of the wings, giving you the same quality and quantity of a regular night. Overall I would have liked more sauce on the wings in general and a more prominent flavor. But the price was very much worth the meal and I left very full after 12 wings.
