First time here since they changed names. No clue if the ownership changed or not. This is my third visit. Lots of vehicles in the lot when I arrived. Most of the tables were empty but they have a big bar and that is where most people sat. it really seems like most of the folks there are regulars. The bartender/server seemed to know them all by name. There were a couple families with smaller kids there too. I was hungry for wings an thought this would be a nice change and I remembered the wings here were decent. I bellied up to the bar and was quickly greeted. I ordered a beer and then a dozen wings. I found the wings to be a decent price. They had a ton of different sauces and dry rubs to choose from. One nice thing is that they allow you to split your order for different sauces. I took the suggestion of the serve and chose the house sauce and the chefs sauce. One was a spicy mustard based sauce, the other was a sweet and spicy sauce. For me the wings were cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy and on the more done side. The place seems clean and had a larger variety type food menu. Would definitely go again. read more

This place isn't really in Zelie, it's the zip code that forces it. It's actually in New Sewickley Township. This place is hit or miss. Their burgers aren't bad, but their wings are frickin' gross and I got sick from them once. The bar is fun. This place has also changed names. It used to be called Rumors Bar and Grill. read more

We stopped in to Rumors Bar & Grill after my son's open house last night and let me just tell you guys, I'm so glad we did! What a great local Bar & Grill! Upon sitting down we were greeted by the chef who stopped over at our table with a sample of his amazing Zuppa soup. Honestly you might need to make a special stop in just for his tasty soup on a chilly Fall day or following a day out with the family from the Patch. But hold on, the greatness doesn't stop there! The specials! So many good specials! This place is priced perfectly and the food pairs so well! My husband got the wing special that came with one of his favorite drafts. You seriously can't beat wings, fries and a beer for roughly $12! I got a half of the Philly cheese hoagie that came out loaded with all the yummy goodness and a side of soup. Our two little kiddos ate all their meals (need I say anything more there?)! I am consistently impressed with how good the food is here! Low prices, big portions and big flavors are a great combo for a neighborhood bar. The bartenders who also serve as the waitstaff are always friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend their wings or their "Rumor Mac" burger (aka a Big Mac on steroids). Kudos for always bringing the food out immediately while it's still piping hot. Great beer prices too. First time stopping here in about 15 years. Dunno why it's been so long. I read great recent Yelp reviews & stopped in on a sunny November Wednesday around 3pm. There were only 3 other patrons. They have a large menu for a small place. Wednesday happens to be $4 craft draft day & honestly getting a Troegs Perpetual IPA for $4 these days is a deal! So I had two. Each day there are different food & drink specials. I got the gyro & fries for $10.99 as take out for my husband and I had the Philly steak wrap with fries at the bar. Honestly the wrap was spectacular, packed with thin shaved steak, cheese, onions & peppers. Fries were hot & crispy. I also ordered zucchini fries to go & they came with marinara & house made potato chips. The bartender, Christine, was very friendly. They have DJ nights, karaoke nights, trivia nights. There is a front porch to go out on in nice weather. They also have lots of TV's & several game machines & a jukebox. Parking lot fairly large. Off the beaten bath on Rochester Rd. Looks kinda like a biker dive, but staff & patrons very friendly so don't be afraid to stop in. I plan to return before another 15 years passes!! read more

Stopped in this evening for a pick up order. I called in advance and food was ready 15-20 minutes later when I arrived. My wife got the chicken sandwich and I tried the Mac burger. We got my 2-year old son the PB&J with house made chips on the side. Prices were very reasonable especially for the potion size of the burger and chicken sandwiches which both came with fries too. The chicken was fried and had a nice mustard sauce to go with it. The burger was cooked medium to medium rare which wasn't a problem for me but a bit underdone for my wife (in the future I'll specify how well to cook the burger). Only other complaint was the burger bun was completely flattened and soggy by the time I got home and was ready to eat. I think this last one is on me as it likely would've been a different experience had we eaten in. All in all a good experience and I think we'll come back for more. read more

Pleasant workers, quick food preparation fun atmosphere! Generally, we order take-out, and they usually tell us about 20 minutes. My husband loves their Fish Sandwich (with cocktail sauce) and Mac & Cheese. It's huge! This past week, I ordered their Philly Steak hoagie (I get it without peppers). It was absolutely delicious! And huge! In the past, I had their Meatball hoagie, but I didn't care for it at all! Didn't like the meatballs and the sauce tasted burnt! Couldn't eat it! Decided to come back recently to try out more menu items, since I live not even 2 miles from this place. Gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed. I ordered their "rumor mac" which if you couldn't guess, is their spin on a "big mac" from McDonalds. We ordered our food for take out, and when I came home and took a big bite of that burger.. I could have cried. It was so incredibly dry. Not to mention I had to assemble the entire burger because it came in 3 parts in my takeout container. I thought this burger would be a close representation to a big mac, but they couldn't be more different. A big mac has finely diced onions and pickles. This burger had the most huge chunks of onions, and they loaded them on there. I'm not the biggest onion person, which is why I like the finely diced onions on a big mac, so when I saw how many onions there were on this burger I got kind of upset. The patties were so overcooked, and so so thick. Big mac patties are nice and thin, but these were like giant hockey pucks. No matter how much extra sauce I dumped on this burger, it didn't help. I ended up eating 1/3 of it and pitching the rest. So disappointed because when you think of a bar with food you usually think their burgers would be good, but not here. To me it seems like their menu items are either spectacular or disastrous. The last time I ordered food, it was like half of it was good and the other half wasn't. Not sure I'll willingly come back here after so many misses with the food. With how expensive things in the world are anymore, particularly food, I'm not going to waste it at a place where I don't know for certain if I'll get good quality food prepared with the love it deserves. read more

Stopped in for a take out. While waiting, a lot of the customers walk in without a mask even though the sign on the door states masks required. There was a good take out business as well. All the take out customers were courteous and had a mask on. Checked the specials on the board and ordered a Shrimp Po Boy with a side of coleslaw. Stopped at a local park to enjoy the sunny day and eat lunch. Well, no napkins or utensils were included. So it was not easy to eat my coleslaw. Okay... when you need a break from the crazy hustle of traffic and people, this little roadside restaurant fits the bill. I love the barsy-feel without the rowdiness. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer. We loved the buffalo dip appetizers and I highly recommend the Rachel sandwich ( I opted for coleslaw instead of sauerkraut ). Placed an order for takeout, given that it's a bar and we had our two year old with us. We arrived at the time the restaurant said our food would be ready and it was sitting on the counter for us when we got there. We got the ultimate chicken sandwich, the rumors mac burger and a PB&J for our son. Each had a large side of fries and the PB&J had some kettle chips. The fries were delicious! Super crisp, hot, and fresh. The chicken sandwich had really nice flavors--with the mustard sauce being the star of the show. The mac burger was just ok, unfortunately. The bottom bun was so soggy it was hard to stomach. I can't stand a soggy bun! However, we acknowledge that it's the risk you take when you do takeout versus eating food fresh at a restaurant. The burger was pretty greasy and a little underdone for my liking, but I'd like to give it another try when we are able to eat in :) Overall we are glad we got to try out a new local place and will hopefully be back soon! read more

RUMORS WING SAUCES Bosses - very buttery w mild kick Bland and boring Sweet Devil- spicy garlicky bbq honey mustard mix. Very good, well balanced sauce. Pammys sauce- tangy mustardy bbq sauce with a slight kick. Tasty. Hot Cajun- true to the name. Good classic thick-ly sauced spicy wings. Rumors Sauce- buttery and sweet. Good base but needs a hot sauce to balance it out. Buffalo- excellent classic buffalo sauce. Rich and buttery with a medium level touch of heat. Lemon Pepper- saltiest wings I've ever tried. Inedible. Salt overwhelms the slight hint of lemon. Hot Garlic- good flavor, pretty standard wing sauce, several steps down from the excellent buffalo sauce. Stick with that one over this. Honey Jalapeño- these are some of the best wings I've ever had. Very unique with diced pickled jalapeño piled on top of the honey sauce is a surprisingly excellent combination. The heat comes long after the initial sweetness and will stay with you for a couple beers. read more

My husband introduced me to this place when we found a coupon for it in the enjoy book. In the past, he raved about how good the food quality was for the price. He was not wrong! We walked in and were instantly greeted by Kelly, the bartender. She was nice, attentive, informative, and called regulars by name. From my understanding, this restaurant use to allow smoking in the building; however, they have redone the inside, added on, and have implemented a no smoking policy - there was no trace of smoke! The bar sits in center of the room as it is visibly the place to be in this establishment. I was instantly reminded of a sports bar back home. They had a juke box and an area to play darts, making the environment more interactive than in most restaurants. I have been here twice: the first time I got the special, Turkey Bacon Cheddar Wrap (under $6!!!). It was SO GOOD! Loaded with all three ingredients, hot from the panini grill, and an exceptional portion size. The fries! My goodness, they were homemade and perfectly seasoned. I was so impressed. On my second trip, I ordered a burger, another menu item highly recommended by my husband (and Kelly). It was the BBQ burger and ended up being delicious. Besides the food, they have drink specials every night and live music a couple nights a week to bring people through their doors. Do not be fooled by the outside appearance of this place - a little drab but it has a lot to offer! I stopped by here again recently with my wife for some good cheap food. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the inside is completely redone, and there is no longer a lingering smoke smell inside. The bar itself is now non-smoking, and the newly tiled floor looks great! We sat at the bar and had a server I had not met before Kelly. She, like the most of the staff I have interacted with here, have all been very pleasant and attentive. I ended up ordering a burger and my wife had a turkey bacon cheddar wrap. Both came with some awesome fresh cut fries and the entire meal was very filling! The bar still has its crazy cheap food and drink specials and has a much nicer look and feel to it. With the smoke gone, this has gone from a 3 star to a 4 for me. What an incredible difference that makes. I will definitely be back here outside of lunch, maybe for a couple of drinks and will bring some friends along with me. read more

Have been going here regularly for the past few weeks, the food is always on point! The chicken quesadilla and gyro (Wednesdays) are my favorite. The staff is also very kind and attentive, Kelly and Cindy are the names I remember but every bartender there is awesome. first time here The food was OK not that great nasty old lady came out of the kitchen and told me not to order a pizza obviously was too lazy to make it so I paid the price of a pizza but I only got chicken tenders... I stopped by here this past Friday for lunch with 3 other coworkers. I had been prepped ahead of time by my coworkers that smoking was allowed inside of the bar and so I should not wear anything that I didn't want to smell smoky. Whenever we got into the bar though there was only one other person sitting at the bar and he was not smoking. The smell that I did notice was a perfumed type smell that was not thoroughly unpleasant. The bar is mainly built around a u shaped bar with seating on all sides of it. For lunch I decided to go with two of the items on the specials board and so I ordered the pierogies (4 for $1, what a deal!) and then the fish sandwich that came a choice of two sides for which I chose mac and cheese and fries. Normally I would not have gone so heavy on the starch/carbs but I had a large trail race the next day and appreciated that I was able to. The pierogies ended up coming out first and there were four decent sized pierogies on a plate with the right amount of onions and what I imagine was a half a stick of butter. You can't really have pierogies in the Pittsburgh area without the onions and butter and so I was happy to see them. The pierogies had a good potato filling that was still hot as I was eating them and I really enjoyed them with the onions and butter. After I had finished that my fish sandwich and sides came out. The fish sandwich was almost comically place upon a hamburger bun as it was at least three times the size of it. So I ended up eating the two ends of it first before eating the middle part as a sandwich with the bun. The fish was cooked nice and flaky and had a breading on that while not bad, did not do too much to enhance the flavor. As such I ended up putting some hot sauce on it. The same went for the Mac N Cheese which while looking like it came directly out of the Kraft box ended up thankfully not tasting like it. It was pretty cheesy but needed the extra kick that the hot sauce provided. Finally my fries were also good. Even though it may not have sounded like it from my above description I really did enjoy my meal. The bottom line for me is that I would definitely head back here again in the future. The one thing that would give me pause is that they do allow smoking but the food is good and you can certainly get a lot of it for your money here! read more

I went here in October 2014. The burgers and fries were excellent but the atmosphere was a bit shady for non-locals. As it was a smoking bar, the smoky smell hit you square in the face as soon as you open the door. It was very dark inside despite it being a sunny day and the windows were a bit dusty too but the food sure did make up for that. Overall it's off the beaten path, nice and quiet at lunchtime (at least when I went there) and quaint for locals. read more

This place had great service. It is a bar with a few tables around the room for seating. I had a grilled buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. The fries were your typical frozen fries and there was nothing special about the sandwich, but it wasn't bad. The buffalo sauce was pretty good. I would go back to try other sauces. They had wings with many sauce options. I also liked that you could get macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, or cottage cheese as a side instead of French fries. read more
