Philly Steak Hoagie, Half and Fries
    Nicole P.

We stopped in to Rumors Bar & Grill after my son's open house last night and let me just tell you guys, I'm so glad we did! What a great local Bar & Grill! Upon sitting down we were greeted by the chef who stopped over at our table with a sample of his amazing Zuppa soup. Honestly you might need to make a special stop in just for his tasty soup on a chilly Fall day or following a day out with the family from the Patch. But hold on, the greatness doesn't stop there! The specials! So many good specials! This place is priced perfectly and the food pairs so well! My husband got the wing special that came with one of his favorite drafts. You seriously can't beat wings, fries and a beer for roughly $12! I got a half of the Philly cheese hoagie that came out loaded with all the yummy goodness and a side of soup. Our two little kiddos ate all their meals (need I say anything more there?)! I think my husband found our new favorite local spot and I'm looking forward to the Monday margs and app specials post my upcoming delivery! Cheers to a great time at Rumors! Hope to see you all there!

I am consistently impressed with how good the food is here! Low prices, big portions and big flavors are a great combo for a neighborhood bar. The bartenders who also serve as the waitstaff are always friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend their wings or their "Rumor Mac" burger (aka a Big Mac on steroids). Kudos for always bringing the food out immediately while it's still piping hot. Great beer prices too. It's been cold lately, but they installed a beautiful deck outside that I look forward to enjoying this summer. Skip the chains in Cranberry and give this place a try!

First time stopping here in about 15 years. Dunno why it's been so long. I read great recent Yelp reviews & stopped in on a sunny November Wednesday around 3pm. There were only 3 other patrons. They have a large menu for a small place. Wednesday happens to be $4 craft draft day & honestly getting a Troegs Perpetual IPA for $4 these days is a deal! So I had two. Each day there are different food & drink specials. I got the gyro & fries for $10.99 as take out for my husband and I had the Philly steak wrap with fries at the bar. Honestly the wrap was spectacular, packed with thin shaved steak, cheese, onions & peppers. Fries were hot & crispy. I also ordered zucchini fries to go & they came with marinara & house made potato chips. The bartender, Christine, was very friendly. They have DJ nights, karaoke nights, trivia nights. There is a front porch to go out on in nice weather. They also have lots of TV's & several game machines & a jukebox. Parking lot fairly large. Off the beaten bath on Rochester Rd. Looks kinda like a biker dive, but staff & patrons very friendly so don't be afraid to stop in. I plan to return before another 15 years passes!!

Stopped in this evening for a pick up order. I called in advance and food was ready 15-20 minutes later when I arrived. My wife got the chicken sandwich and I tried the Mac burger. We got my 2-year old son the PB&J with house made chips on the side. Prices were very reasonable especially for the potion size of the burger and chicken sandwiches which both came with fries too. The chicken was fried and had a nice mustard sauce to go with it. The burger was cooked medium to medium rare which wasn't a problem for me but a bit underdone for my wife (in the future I'll specify how well to cook the burger). Only other complaint was the burger bun was completely flattened and soggy by the time I got home and was ready to eat. I think this last one is on me as it likely would've been a different experience had we eaten in. All in all a good experience and I think we'll come back for more.

Placed an order for takeout, given that it's a bar and we had our two year old with us. We arrived at the time the restaurant said our food would be ready and it was sitting on the counter for us when we got there. We got the ultimate chicken sandwich, the rumors mac burger and a PB&J for our son. Each had a large side of fries and the PB&J had some kettle chips. The fries were delicious! Super crisp, hot, and fresh. The chicken sandwich had really nice flavors--with the mustard sauce being the star of the show. The mac burger was just ok, unfortunately. The bottom bun was so soggy it was hard to stomach. I can't stand a soggy bun! However, we acknowledge that it's the risk you take when you do takeout versus eating food fresh at a restaurant. The burger was pretty greasy and a little underdone for my liking, but I'd like to give it another try when we are able to eat in :) Overall we are glad we got to try out a new local place and will hopefully be back soon!

We started with the spinach and artichoke dip and mozzarella sticks as appetizers with a runny dip and $12 for 6 mozz sticks that were straight from freezer to fryer. They indicate that the marinara is homemade, but these clearly were not. I ordered garlic parmesan wings with ranch, and noticeably their was no garlic or parmesan as far as I could tell. It was just butter. The wings were cooked fine, but I can't believe they would serve a product like this. And I've said it before, but I'll say it again - their homemade ranch is horrible. It's supposed to be "garlic" ranch, but they might as well call it sugar ranch. I can't think of any other scenario where I wouldn't eat ranch, so this is an incredible bar to suppass. The best item I tried was my son's pizza from the kid's menu, which is saying something.

Am looking forward to being back! My server was Tolia (sorry if I'm misspelling/misremembering) and she did an AMAZING job. She was super friendly, made awesome menu recommendations and was a delight to chat to. She recommended I start with the char grilled octopus and this was delicious. It came with capers and a grilled lemon and olive oil and was beautifully presented. The potion was easily finished by just me, so if you have more than 2 people I'd recommend getting more than 1 order of these. It's so delicious. I was then picking between the pastitsio and the moussaka. I was told they both have a strong nutmeg flavor which was not a problem for me. I decided on the moussaka and it was so delicious. It did have a strong nutmeg flavor but not in an overwhelming way. It came with a bechamel sauce on top and layers of eggplant with ground beef tomato and potato. It sort of reminded me of a shepherds pie if you're not as familiar with Greek food. The portion was HUGE - could easily split between 2. I ate almost half of it but couldn't eat the rest although I wish I could've. It was so good. The cocktail I ordered was a nectar spritz (something with "nectar" in the title at least) and genuinely was one of the best cocktails I've had. Definitely beat every other one I had in Pittsburgh this week by FAR. So yummy. I was so impressed with every aspect of my dining experience and would definitely be back!

The restaurant was far bigger than I realized and it was busy on a Friday night. It was clean, though I do feel like the tiled table may never be fully clean with the grout lines looking a little gross. We got our chips and salsa and ordered an additional queso. My husband got the fajitas, I got a burrito, and our 5 & 3 year old weren't feeling adventurous and chose the chicken fingers and fries. The fajitas weren't bad, but a very small portion for the cost. The burrito was interesting to me because the veggies inside were hardly cooked. I feel like mostly raw veggies aren't usually in a burrito and because of that I didn't enjoy it much. Not to mention the chicken was overcooked and "woody." Our kids ate their chicken fine and the fries were actually very good. The service was fine but pretty slow to refill drinks. That night after returning home my husband and I had a bout of diarrhea and our 3 year old was up all night throwing up and had diarrhea the whole next day. Somehow our five year old came out unscathed. We can only assume we got food poisoning and we will not be back. The food wasnt great before but really not good following our evening of sickness.
