I can't believe that nobody has written a review of this place. This is my favorite place to go before/after a Rockies game. They have excellent food, great servers, and the drinks are fantastic. Everything's very affordable and they always have a wide selection of sports to watch on the televisions. Not a bad spot for catching a game, though if the Rockies are playing across the street on a weekend, this place can be a zoo. Plenty of options on tap, and a full compliment of other booze, so you are covered from a 'my life sucks, hey I bet the solution is at the bottom of this glass' standpoint. I've only been to Jackson's a total of three times during the 15 months I've lived in Denver. Once for a Chamber event, once for Opening Day, and once for Lunch this past week. Did you know Jackson's has a delicious snackie menu made fresh to order!? I certainly did NOT! Fried Pickles, Cheese Curds, Pigs in a Blanket, Buffalo Chicken Salad, Pizzas, Wings, Philly Cheesesteak, and I could keep going! While a downtown Denver-goer may read this and ask "So? That's sports bar food." WRONG! Jackson's has actually done an amazing job of bringing in quality ingredients and creating multiple bursts of flavors on each bite! I am obsessed with their Philly! Oh and their Ranch Dressing - my favorite yet... ever!! But here's the kicker that truly shocked me... they have private dining spaces throughout the restaurant that I was completely unaware of! I accidentally stumbled upon one space, so I asked to see more. Equipped with AV, multiple table configuration possibilities, indoor & outdoor seating, private bars, etc. I was very impressed. Too bad I just had my wedding in Saint Louis! This is perfect for a Rehearsal Dinner or a baseball fan's Wedding dream (as it is located across the street from Coors Field)! This location was extremely unaccomodating to my disabilities. The bouncer was extremely insulting as I got into the bar and made me feel like I was not a worthy patron. Meanwhile, he stared at my chest the entire duration at the door which made me feel terribly uncomfortable and as if the space was not inclusionary. I strongly recommend going elsewhere, even the drinks were extremely pricy, and the bartenders were not timely and tragically rude. read more

This place is HUGE! They have a main level, an upstairs, and patio to hang out on. I've gone here early in the night when not many people were out yet and had fun just chilling at the bar (where there are a lot of TV's) drinking a fish bowl with my husband. I went more recently on a Friday night for AYCD and the place was packed with people. I still didn't feel claustrophobic because the place is so roomy. The outside area upstairs had a DJ and it was a perfect night out. The AYCD was $10 which I thought was a pretty good price for so close to Coors Field! I visited this place on St. Patty's Day. My family and I spent over $200 for poor, racist service. My wife's burger was raw and they tried to say how did you order it? My response not raw. They refuse to take food back and make you pay for it. My son asked for his change back after paying and the waiter said what no tip, after we left one on my tab. This was the worst experience ever. The on duty manager Alex didn't make the situation right nor did he offer an apology, all he had was excuses and pay the bill. I asked for the owner's name or district number I could contact but was refused. My family was the only minorities in the facility and was treated as such. Our whole dinner should have been free for all the bullshit we had to go through, yet we still paid this horrible establishment. This place has not changed much over the years. Well, it does seem somewhat dirtier, danker, darker, and dingier . . . but that is not why people come here. People come here to drink, drink some more, have some decent food, and mostly because of location, location, location. This last Saturday I came here with a couple friends. It would not have been my first choice. I took advantage of the drink specials for Florida fans (not my team, but a special is a special, and these Orange clad party people seemed more easygoing and less obnoxious than many groups of sports fans). My beer was cold, and the waitress even put the pitcher on ice so that it would stay that way. My burger was okay (the big Kahuna with teriyaki, pineapple, etc). My fries were decent. I tried the nachos that a friend ordered and there was something going on with the cheese. They claimed it was processed, and I am not sure. Went to see Mark Farina yesterday on the rooftop and the security guards were obnoxiously standing on the stage, frowning at the crowd, and talking to each other while Mark was performing. A total buzz kill. Jackson's is a great bar located across the street from Coors Field. We love getting to the game early and parking in their lot. It's a bit more expensive than other parking but it is so close to the stadium. Plus, we can do a little pre-game drinking before we head into the stadium. Their food is very good as well. We visit even when it's not a game day. It's a large establishment, so there is plenty of seating. We have always received good service. They offer games throughout, so the kids love it! I just love Jackson's. I highly recommend it for a night out with friends or a pre-game or after game gathering. read more

I'm certainly glad this platform exists. It was a cold winter night and the urge to go have fun with my brother and his boys was at an all time high. But then I stumbled upon this poor excuse for a bar. Im from Arizona (23 years of age) and I go to college in Florida. The bouncer (Bryan) took my ID, then would not give it back. This place has a divey/grungy feel to it so if you're not in that mood, this isn't the spot you want to belly up. Right across the street from Coors Field home plate, this is a massive venue with multiple rooms and floors. Oh, and a roof top patio. Whew...that's a lot of space. TV's are everywhere so if you want to see a football game or a UFC fight, this place will probably have it and you'll probably get a seat with a good view of a TV. Aside from all this logistical stuff, this bar has plenty to drink but also, a pretty good burger selection. I tried the bubba's burger and it was definitely what the doctor ordered. Man, I love Jackson's. It's been a weekend staple since I was 21. The servers and bartenders are all cool and chill as hell every time. I used to love coming here on Fridays and Saturdays and having a few drinks and just dancing the night away on the rooftop with my girl friends before COVID. Drinks are cheap and the vibe is fun. I came here for the first time in probably a year to just chill on the rooftop with my boyfriend and another friend to have drinks after brunch and it reminded me how awesome Jackson's is. They enforced social distancing and mask wearing, but it was the same old Jackson's. My friend even asked if the bartender could make a certain shot and our server wasn't sure but he took note of the ingredients and was able to deliver! They had advertised a zombie prom to take place after the Denver zombie crawl that would allow 18 and up. Only after dressing up like a zombie and walking to Jackson's did the bouncer tell me the flyers were wrong. I understand that most places are 21 and up, but next time don't misinform potential customers and then place those falsely advertised flyers throughout a college campus. Been to Jackson's a few times to watch ufc fights with my bf and we've always enjoyed it. Some random guy and his friends saw us sorting in a booth after a Rockies game and said we had to have more people to sit in the booth. We had gotten there an hour earlier and were paying customers who have claimed the open-seating booth first. The guy continued to heckle us on our date night until he SLID INTO OUR BOOTH after I told him he wasn't allowed to join us. I started yelling at him and the interrogator and his buddies tried to start a fist fight with me and my boyfriend so security came over (Nick I believe?) and called the manager. The manager (Andrew) came over and settled the dispute quickly and professionally and told the guy who was trying to intrude upon us to get out. Really thankful for those guys. After being completely turned off by the over stuffed, yellow and black,smoky (gross) crowd at another local favorite sports bar, my group ventured to Jackson's in hopes of securing someplace to actually sit down. There was ample seating for the final NFL playoff games. The staff was happy and generous. The bar food is decent. I like hot wings, and these were spicy and juicy. We got a sampler platter which had a great variety from the appetizer menu. The fried jalapeno bits were actually really good (and hot). The fried cheese on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. blech, but overall good food for the prices. Pitchers of beer for $4. Yea man! I'll be back. Extremely disappointing experience at Jackson's. Our party of 10 was asked to leave about 3 minutes after arriving because one of our friends was swaying back and forth. Yes, he had too much to drink at the baseball game. But he wasn't causing a scene or any trouble. We chose this establishment for its proximity to the stadium, and the goal was to sober up our friend with some water and food. Instead of speaking with any of us (the rest of the party was more or less sober), they just kicked us out. Instead of giving one person a chance, they kicked us out. It was not only a poor business decision, as they lost the business of 10 people, it was also a poor human decision. I've always been a little hesitant to venture to Jackson's because it is always jam-packed during game days. However, now having checked it out a few times this summer, Jackson's is A-OK in my book. Chill, sports bar atmosphere, right across the street from the baseball field. You can't beat that! Relatively cheap drinks, but terribly expensive bar food.
