Had an unfortunate experience here. I want to start by saying that I fully understand that any bartender can refuse to serve anyone for any reason. I was asked what year I graduated highschool. I answered that I did not. He followed up with "what year WOULD you have finished highschool?" I was feeling nervous about being grilled about my schooling in front of everyone and told him I didn't know because I was homeschooled and then got my GED much later. He then asked what year it was when I was 18. I tried to do quick math since obviously I don't have a major association with the age (no "Class Of 20XX" or life milestone) and so when I started counting backward for 9 years ago, he cut me off with his refusal to serve. He proceeded to tell me that "This was a Florida team bar," that a lot of FL IDs come through, and that mine looked fake. (Yiiikes!) He berated me with a "nice try" and then treated me suspiciously the rest of my time there. I understand they have rights to reject, but I came to have a good time with friends and I had the details of my education brought up in front of the whole bar, followed by further public badgering about mathematics. I felt as if it was not appropriate to treat me with such disdain and suspicion. It also reeks of instigation to mention that my real Florida ID looks fake and that he's an authority on the matter due to seeing a lot of them. It's a real ID, and forging identification is a serious accusation! Jackson's is ugly, scary, uninviting, aggressive, and overall not very fun.. :( Very much like Florida itself though, I'll give them that! It gave the people with me a good laugh, but ultimately it was an experience I would not recommend to others. read more

Clean (in a clean but we obviously have customers who know how to have a good time kind of way), great food, good service. Across the street from Coors Field, would definitely eat here again. First stop for my co-workers bachelorette ballpark district bar-crawl: Jackson's. PRO: It just so happened that the night we were there was ladies night. Coincidence? I think not. Ha! CON: Ladies night means that place is PACKED to the brim. So if you're not into crowds you probably want to steer clear. PRO: Bartenders have always been on point during my visits. In this case I'm sure it was due to being ladies night. CON: None! PRO: Location is key! Not only is Jackson's right across from Coors Field, but it boasts great views of downtown from it's rooftop! CON: Having such a prime location near the ballpark means post-game gets super packed! Be prepared for standing room only and longer than the usual wait times. While Jackson's is not really my bar-of-choice, I can easily say it's decent enough and I'm sure I'll make my way back during another ballpark district bar crawl in the near future. read more

Wow! What a great experience we just had at Jackson's Lodo. What a fun place! One of the highlights was our rockstar waiter Christian. He was very friendly and super helpful. We couldn't decide on what beer to order. He suggested a Leinenkugel, and he totally hit the mark. Thanks, guy! I always tell my hubby that a good waiter really makes the experience. A bit confusing on Football Sunday. They sent us upstairs, to be with all the other Eagles fans, but we didnt have a lanyard, for the Private party upstairs.. Huh? We just wanted a beer and wings.. worst bouncer I have ever meet in my entire life. Had the biggest ego I've ever met. Got upset because I showed him where my DOB after not being able to find it after 2 minutes and called multiple people dick faces. whoever claimes they've been working for "20 years as a bouncer". was clearly dealing with personal problems and taking it out on anyone that he wasn't attracted to. everything else was pleasant but bouncer ruined the vibe for everyone entering the bar. read more

Ladies night offers free drinks with a small cover charge-- was only $5! This place is packing and the second floor patio rocked the boat! I had a glorious time with my boyfriend, his two cousins, his friends and the night felt young. The crowd was very easygoing, NO DRAMA. WOOHOOO. The bar was also sweet, lots of cool bartenders, lots of friendly people to meet. There was a poppin' dj, the Tequila Sunrise is a wonderful drink to get here. It's a girly drink for sure. NO. Just kidding. Everyone who's anyone should get it. The dance floor isn't so big, but it was also a pleasant experience. It didn't get crazy and obnoxiously hot, which is a plus. There is a bar and seat in at the first floor of Jackson's. Don't take the elevator because it's not a accessibility and literally the security guard will make a cut-throat hand gesture to tell you no-- boo. The whole night here was worth it, and I have been bragging to my friends to plan a night here. This is wonderful for bachelor's night, a date night, a club night with friends. There is also a fire pit in the middle and lots of people were seen firing up their cigs here and using the tables to drink. It's a breeze and perfect for summer nights. read more

Do better, Jackson's! We came to watch the denver bronco game and we're told we couldn't watch it on the big screen because TWO PEOPLE were watching the Tampa bay game. WE'RE IN DENVER!!! ALSO.... We had a friend with us that was in a wheelchair and the room where the Tampa bay game was on had the short tables, which were perfect for him. But..... they didn't care. We had to go up front, at a HIGH-TOP table, where he was not able to evan use the table, and where the game was being shown on a very small tv. Super fun place for just drinks, drinks and appetizers, or lunch and a beer before a Rockies game. Located directly across from Coors field, this is a great hangout spot during the game too if you can't get tickets. I can't speak for dinner, but the appetizers and beers were great. read more

Im not much for sports bars but this one was pretty cool. I like that they decorate the seats which you are not allowed to sit in with skeletons, very creative. Service was quick and the drinks were good. TVs absolutely everywhere in this place, it's very lively. read more

When I walk into a place and it smells like 150 people are all simultaneously passing gas, you lose a star. Literally smelled like rotten eggs throughout the whole bar. But we sat down anyway to catch the second half of a football game. Someone came up to us when they saw us aimlessly wandering around looking for the game we wanted to watch and he told us to have a seat and changed the channel on a tv for us, that was nice. Our server was actually really friendly which is surprising since it was a Sunday afternoon and we weren't ordering tons of booze. He was attentive the whole time and refilled my coke every time it got close to empty. There were $1 mimosa's from 10am-2pm but they extended the deal to all day while we were sitting there. There was also a special for $4 pitchers of Coors Light. Since the Broncos were playing at home they had a free shuttle for all the patrons which seemed to leave every 15 minutes or so. The "DJ" also kept advertising their bloody marys. They sounded like the most disgusting thing ever. 5 shots of vodka, a celery stick, a skewer of bacon and a hard boiled egg thrown in for good measure (WAS THAT THE SMELL?!). We also ordered the nachos with chicken which were okay, but REALLY overpriced ($11.98). They were the type of nachos where all the toppings are stuck to the 10 chips at the top of the plate and then all the chips underneath are left naked and dry. There was maybe 2 tablespoons worth of beans, a few jalapenos, 5 or 6 olive slices, some tomato and green onion, and 2 tablespoons each of guac and sour cream. Here for opening day and this is THE place to be before a Rockies game. Mostly because of the service, Nick & Jen are the best barkeeps in the Tri state area. They kept us happy and were on top of what we despite a completely packed place. Before you curve into this bar please take notes of the pros and cons: Pros: 1) Fridayz will get you all you can drink wrist bands for $20 (till 1230) for wells and basic taps. 2) Female talent is above par. 3) Music is on point. Cons: 1) Sh*t shaming is a thing. Security purposely leaves open bathroom door for bros because of fights, dudes throwing up, etc. But in reality... all that college talent see's you offloading that fat dump. Perfect sports bar (especially for a Steelers fan)! There are TVs everywhere, three rooms (the back room dedicated to Steelers games making it a haven for any Western PA transplant), skee ball and an outdoor patio. The staff has always been friendly and attentive in my experience even during busy sports days. They usually have good drink specials (domestic pitchers for $10 or Agave Wheat drafts for $4). Just say no to the Chicken Burrito! Our service was good. Our server even moved us to a booth which wasn't really in her section but had less wind than the rest of the patio and turned on the heat lamp for us. The fried pickles were an experience. Weird. Wouldn't say I'd necessarily order them again. But, they were amusing. The Chicken Burrito looked fantastic! Couldn't wait to delve into that bad boy. But, sadly, it was terrible. It was about 80% extremely bland refried beans. The chicken was way too dry, although it tasted like it had soaked in jalapeno juice all day. The guacamole was that kind at the store where you squeeze it out of a bag. Just bad all around. Serves me right for ordering anything other than a burger at a sports bar.
