Ok Jack's.....I'm finally giving you a deserved review. TBH, I had forgotten about this location until recently when the boss suggested you for lunch. I've been to several other locations, but I don't think I've actually visited this one in particular. So this review is solely based on the 2 to-go orders me & the boss had over the last 2 weeks in our efforts to #SupportLocal. Last week on 4/2/20, I ordered my usual, classic tri-tip sandwich, this time subbing out the caramelized onions for red onions & subbed mayo for their spicy aioli (which according to the girl on the phone was the same as their chipotle mayo. Why it's listed separately on their menu? Beats me!). Boss ordered a Create-A-Salad w/their cheesy garlic bread (YUM!) & always enjoys it. So like I said, I ordered my usual because I LOVE Jack's tri-tip sandwiches!! Even the BBQ one is super delicious & is often what the Hubs will order when eating Jack's. I typically order their garlic fries cuz who doesn't like garlic fries, right? A crazy person, that's who! But I wanted to be a little adventurous & decided to give their Urban fries a shot. When I ordered on the phone, I told the girl I didn't want the blue cheese & she said they could switch it out for ranch if I wanted. Uh, YEAH! Love me some ranch. This lunch experience was perfectly exceptional! The sandwich, on point. The fries were quite tasty too! Today, we again decided to order from Jack's & this time I wanted a salad after having seen my boss's from last week. Being a fan of the tri-tip, I ordered their Steak Salad w/out blue cheese (I'm just not a fan if you couldn't tell by now). I also decided to add feta (which perhaps they would've subbed out if I had called in the order instead of going online), apples, quinoa, & tomatoes, each being an extra $0.50 to the order. The boss went w/another Create-a-Salad. The salad was super delicious, although I was sad to see they missed adding the apples.....I was hoping to get that little extra sweet crunch from it. Oh well. Hopefully an online slip-up like this doesn't happen often. All-in-all, Jack's is definitely a place to frequent for great quality ingredients of any meal option you choose. The customer service I've experienced at all their locations are typically stellar and the food never disappoints. I'm already familiar with this place from having trued the other location at the Fountains shopping court in Roseville. The inside is nice and clean, and the employees are inviting and keeping busy. They do have seating available inside and are keeping table seating fairly separated for covid safety. If you take your food to-go, keep in mind to ask for utensils (because we weren't given any and wouldn't have been able to eat the salad had we not double-checked our takeout bag). Everything my family ordered was really good! Really enjoyed the portabello sandwich and was told that the bbq tri-tip sandwich tasted good as well. The only reason I'm providing this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the Santa Fe salad; they a) didn't provide lime-cilantro dressing meant to go with it and b) if they added on dressing to the salad, it could not be tasted (thus really minimal, so lowkey was choking on the kale stems they failed to cut out). Salad is 2.5/5 for me. Otherwise, the urban fries were absolute fire - so, so good and we enjoyed everything else during our family picnic. read more

Great location, friendly employees and the food is always fresh. I am obsessed with Jack's Create Your Own Salad. The lettuce is always crispy and fresh, the ranch is always creamy, the veggies and toppings are always so tasty too! I'm always impressed with how quick these employees work. Side note: I've been coming here as much as I can on my lunch breaks to support this business during the COVID-19 pandemic. I'm happy to see others are supporting them too! I think this place is great for when a couple or one of you don't know what to eat! I was very indecisive about where I wanted to eat so my husband decided to go here! They have so much variety from fries, to mac and cheese, to burgers, to salads, or to meat and mashed potatoes! Their urban fries are to DIE for!! So good, I'm craving them now! Obsessed with the salads at Jack's. My last two visits here, I've had the impossible taco and the achiote chicken salads. Both were flavor bombs! Vibrant veggies, crisp lettuce and kale, and I love the house made dressings. Each time I visit Jack's I always intend to ask if I can purchase some of the salad dressing to take home, but I'm always catching up with my girlfriends and I forget to ask! Always friendly service, the staff is happy to make recommendations for indecisive people like my self, and will let customers sample the soups if thinking about a soup entree. Meanwhile I can't get past the salads. I did have a burger long ago which was delicious, but the salads are my favorite. read more

Second visit in a week. First visit service was so a little slow. Today - unbelievable. 7 people working. One at register. One making food. Rest eating and prepping food. It took 15 - 20 mins because no one realized that the Mac and cheese needed to be replaced. So my sandwich sat there getting cold. Get it together. Love the food. Not the service. This location is bigger than the Natomas and Galleria location, but it gets real busy on the weekend. Food is pretty consistent, but honestly, I come here for the urban fries. Favorite "sophisticated" fries. They are tasty, have crispy edges, are perfectly golden brown & soft in the middle. Love the combo of chili flakes with sour cream/oil drizzle too. Yum! Additionally, I usually share my Western Salad or half a Tri-tip sandwich with someone. If I'm really hungry, I eat it all by myself! This is a restaurant that has parking. You order up at the counter and your food comes to you pretty quickly. It is fresh and hot and everyone working there was super nice. They have sandos, salads, make your own salads, turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy plates. Their turkey, even for the turkey sandwich is sliced right off a whole roasted Turkey. We have been to the other restaurant in Roseville and I just say the chicken salad I had at both places was much better at the Fountains location. I was super disappointed yesterday when I received my DoorDash order. When I opened my turkey plate meal 3 LIVE flies flew out. They were trapped in the box from being packed at the restaurant. My kids looked down at their food and wanted nothing to do with their order after seeing flies were packaged with my food. The fact that 3 flies were closed in the box tells me that this place has a lot of flies landing on food in the preparation area, esp since they didn't even notice when closing up the box. Now I need to kill these flies that are loose in the house. I was able to get a full refund from DoorDash. Will never ever eat or order from this place again. Yuck. read more

The service is always great. I can't complain, because they're always attentive and friendly. We are VERY loyal Jack's customers at both the Galleria and Granite Bay locations. We used to be able to count on the quality of the food, but lately the Granite Bay location is not what it used to be. We always order the kids chicken strips, urban fries and usually the turkey plate along with some other variation of entree. The mashed potatoes used to be amazing with the gravy but now taste like powdered gravy and dry, cement-like potatoes. We got 2 turkey plates on Friday and ended throwing them away because the quality was so bad. Dry turkey, cement mashed potatoes and powdered mix gravy. I called and they tried to rectify it which shows their great service. I ordered chicken strips with an extra strip on the kids meal today. The extra strip was no more than a 1" piece. Again, when I brought it to their attention, they fixed it. I tried finding an email to communicate this directly to corporate as I don't believe in blasting good businesses online but couldn't find one. I hope the owners see this and take it as constructive criticism from a loyal customer. We used to be able to count on ALWAYS having a great meal here, but Granite Bay seems to be hit or miss. Hubs jokingly asked as I ate my disappointing Santa Fe Chicken salad, "Is this place dead to you?" I hate to be that extreme, but yes. A few years ago they had a Thai grilled Shrimp salad. It was DELICIOUS! I ate it about 3 times a month until I came in one day and they stopped making it. I tried a few other salads and none were as tasty. Each time I asked if they'd bring it back. I stopped going for a couple years. Then one of my hubs friend's wife said you have to try their Santa Fe Chicken salad. Still disappointing. Lots of ribs with no lettuce attached. Chips were soggy and stale. Not freshly crumbled and tossed with the dressing. Then there were random bits of things and patches of flavors that did not compute for my salad. My hubs finally said I bet they tossed your salad in a bowl that had another completely different salad and flavor profile. That made sense. Finally, I flipped the lid back down or the boneyard as hubs called the pile of naked lettuce ribs and threw it away. This place is just not for me. read more

I put in an order for pickup today and the order was ready on time. However, when I got home I saw that my classic tri tip sandwich which I asked for no mayo on had mayo on it. I had to attempt to scrape the mayo off of it but there was so much it was hard to get rid of it and I had to take off the lettuce to get rid of it too. Also the "grilled" onions were almost raw as if they had hardly been cooked in the pan at all. The service used to be friendly and on point. We had five menu items come out at five different times and then when the server dropped off the first salad, she said to us "you have to pay for those drinks you having as water cups." we did pay for all our drinks. However, we didn't pay attention to what said "water" cups, and what didn't. If she would've seen that we put water in the drink cups and drinks in the water cups. And she said it so rudely. she said "well my manager saw that you put drinks in the water cups." We asked for ranch, they never brought it, we had to get up and get it. I love Jack's salads. My husband loves their sandwiches we are fans of the food but the customer service is not good. I think I may have left my ATM card there and there is no way to verify if it's there unless you email or go bye. Well, I'm not close and scared I may have lost the card and simply want to check if it's there....nope not one accepts phone calls. Ridiculous. I can understand not answering during lunch and dinner but I called after 2 and before 3 pm. Not a prime high volume time. They need to revisit this policy. Also, another ongoing issue. When you arrive and if they're not busy, you can stand there in no line and not be acknowledged for up to 5 minutes. I've started to time it. It's weird. They all just buzz around like you are invisible. Not even an, "I'll help you in minute". Super sad about this as, like I said, a fan. Now I'm debating to go elsewhere. I've been to almost all the locations and this one is one of the best locations. They are on top of everything here. Never get my order messed up or anything. Super clean and the staff are great each time always very courteous and professional. Love this jacks!! Every time I come here the food is always incredibly fresh and delicious! I pretty much always get the chicken caesar with a side of mac n cheese. Seriously the best mac n cheese! I really need to try more from the menu but I just love what I get! Service is always really great at Jacks, I come here pretty often and I don't think I have ever had bad service. Everyone working here is so friendly. Love the outdoor patio at this location, pretty good size and lots of umbrellas for shade. It's so nice and relaxing to sit out on the patio and enjoy a nice fresh salad. If you are looking for a salad come here! Jacks will always have my vote for the best place to get a salad! Parking can be a little tricky on weekends, this is a pretty busy shopping center. The line i side can get pretty lengthy too, I recommend getting here right when they open. read more

Jack's is one of those places you swear you'll never come back to again, but then you forget and come back and become really disappointed in yourself. The Southwest Chicken Salad with a cookie and a drink was an absurd price of $17. If it was an amazing salad it would be a different review, but it's just not good, it was topped with bland chicken that looked and tasted like it was boiled instead of grilled. I'm actually pushing myself through right now to try and finish it so I don't waste the $17. Honestly I'm gonna eat a 1/4 of it, box it to go and throw it away 2-3 days from now. I love Jack's Urban Eats in Rancho Cordova.. wow, so consistently great!!! Specifically the Tri-tip will send you thrilled you came..so tender and amazingly delicious!!! This location though in Roseville unfortunately crashed and burned hard on their Tri-tip, the meat was so chewy, tough, and didn't set well later. So, I wondered what makes meat taste like that and looked it up. Here's what the web said... "Steak is tough and chewy when the meat is poor quality and not fresh, the cut is not ideal for the cooking method, the steak is too lean, or the steak has been undercooked or overcooked. Steaks will also be tough if they are not rested after cooking and sliced against the grain." None of that sounds good to me, does it to you? Hopefully, this review will help them do better so everybody wins in the end. Btw.. Everything else about this place was excellent...atmosphere, customer service, apparent cleanliness etc. But a tough and chewy sandwich of 'poor quality and not fresh" or whatever the reason was that leaves you with a unsettled stomach later is enough for me to give them a one star review. read more

I'm a fan of Jacks so when we were in Roseville the other day, we wanted to stop by and grab some sandwiches. We ordered two Jack's Original chicken sandwiches. We were waiting and waiting. We were in a rush and needed to get to an appointment across the street. The ladies behind the counter informed us that our sandwiches were ready but they were "waiting for the french fries". We told them that we never ordered french fries! We were waiting for a good ten minutes for our sandwiches only to find out that they placed our orders wrong. I ate at 3 different Jack's Urban Eats and didn't get a chance to rate them out yet. So here I come with a review for this location in Roseville off Sierra College & Douglas. We walked in at lunch time and the place was not packed "it was super packed" with about 27-33 people in line. I mean the line was crazy long but was moving pretty fast. You know when a place is good because is super packed =) After going over their menu I went with the BBQ Tri Tip sandwich & mashed potatoes on the side. I very much liked my sandwich and I rate it at a solid 5 stars. Mashed potatoes was also delicious and I rate that at 5 stars. First time eating here and the food was hit and miss. The menu had many different choices of salads, sandwitches and combo plates. Today I tried the Lemon Thyme Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Brussel Sprouts and the Urban Fries. The chicken breast was a good portion size and had lots of lemon flavor. The bummer was that it was barely lukewarm and very dry. The Mac & Cheese was cooked perfectly but could have used alot more cheese in the beshimel sauce. The real winners of the meal were the Brussel Sprouts and the Urban Fries. The Brussel Sprouts tasted amazing with a crunchy outer and tender inner texture. The Urban Fries were out of this world good. Some of the best fries that I had ever tasted. The fries were perfectly cooked and the sauce that they used on top tasted delicious. Overall I was happy with my meal and left feeling really full. I will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. read more

Salad was way smaller than other Jack's locations. Barely any lettuce and greens- could see bottom off take out container.
