I've been coming to Jack's for years-definitely a staple in my rotation. Just came here today to say that on a whim I ordered some of the cheesy garlic bread. Perfect option to eat in my car on the way home because that doesn't work with a salad... When I took the first bite, i was in LOVE!! it was so thin crispy, light and airy, buttery, and so delicious! I took that bite and thought to myself Amy, go right back in and order three more pieces for your drive home. I'm home now, I did not order the extra bread, and I'm kicking myself.- I mean, this was quite possibly the best piece of baked cheesy garlic bread that I've ever had in my whole entire life- that says a lot cause I'm pushing close to a half century now- it was absolutely phenomenal. I grabbed a to‑go order from Jack's after not visiting for a while. The urban fries were great--crispy, flavorful, exactly how I remembered. The BBQ chicken sandwich, though, was a disappointment. The chicken was so overcooked it was inedible, and I ended up tossing most of it. Maybe other menu items are better, but this one was a definite "never again." Tonight, my son and I came here for dinner. I got the BBQ chicken sandwich. He picked mac n cheese and chicken tenders. He didn't want the fries, so I ate them. Lucky me--my sandwich didn't come with any! The sandwich was really good. Chicken was tender, sauce sweet and smoky. Bread soft, not falling apart. Fries were hot and crispy. I finished all of them. My son liked the mac n cheese a lot. Said the chicken tenders were better than most places. He ate everything except the fries. Staff was nice, fast service. Clean space. Trendy, popular lunch time spot during the week. The line moved fairly quickly for the line. I had the chimichurri steak sandwich, which was flavorful albeit a bit tough to chew. The onion helped balance the heaviness of the meat, but needed the side pickle to round it out. I can't say I could find the chimichurri part of the sandwich. My husband had the brisket plate with sautéed vegetables and mashed potatoes. He found his brisket too dry, but the mashed potatoes were more redeeming. read more

Jacks is always a great go to for my family. Everyone can get what they want here. My favs are the chore bowl, Greek salad, and fried chicken sandwich. They often switch up their menu & have good seasonal offerings. My only complaint is that the side dishes that they keep premade by the register are often dry and either overcooked or undercooked, I typically avoid them. Prices are good (because a fast food salad and chips costs us the exact same!) BUT, must watch quality control over the carving station. First time visiting Jacks in a long time! This location is so central and easy to get to! It's on the corner of Sierra College and Douglas in the Safeway shopping center. Lots of parking! The inside is large with lots of seating. High ceilings and good vibes. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to your table. Sandwiches and made to order salads are the specialties. Our service was meh and our food was just okay. It was $35 for a sandwich and fries, and chicken tenders and fries and 2 waters. They have garlic fries and sweet potato fries in addition to regular fries. The sandwich was very small but tasty - chicken pesto. They give you a number and bring the food. One of the servers brought the totally wrong food and just put it down on our table and left it. I had to bring it back up to the counter. The person taking our order was not friendly or cheerful and made it seem like a chore to help us. Probably won't go back. They used to give you big portions and happy service. If I paid $25 for a salad and received only topping I personally would have refunded the amount spent or provided a gift certificate for the amount spent. Not send a gift certificate for $15. We decided to go at the wrong time, Very busy. we waited in line for about 20 min. they were very nice when taking our order. we had enough time to see what we all wanted ahead of time. My husband ordered the spicy chicken buffalo Sandwich. my son got the pesto sandwich which was delicious. My daughter and I ordered the Club Sandwich with chicken I had avocado in mine my daughter did not. Although honestly there really is no difference I barely got avocado. I couldn't tell or see it, Or even taste that it had avocado. Our food came all 6 to 7 min apart. so the 1st person had to wait for the last person and there were 4 at our table. We also order garlic fries with blue cheese. I can't complain, that was good. Now my food ..... My buns were burnt... I took 1 bite and I had to take it back even the person I gave it to said, "Oh wow I can't believe we gave it out like that I'm so sorry we will remake it. "Yet still, the avocado was sparse. My chicken was dry so was my daughter's sandwich. So we both got sauces for it. I got the cilantro lime and she got BBQ sauce. Much better with sauce. Also they have posted the there was mango ice tea. It was regular black tea. All in all, the portions are small. Especially if we paid $75 for our meal. This place was pretty good! Definitely a good pick for a fast casual joint. We devoured the Urban Fries while waiting for the spicy buffalo sandwich. Thankfully, they let us know it would take about 12 minutes. Once we got it, I wish I had ordered it for myself! Ordered pulled pork sandwich with fries. The sandwich was $12.95 and $3.75 for fries. I asked for the fries crispy and they had already put them up to take out. So a worker took the same fries back to be cooked longer and they were salted a second time making them too salty. The pulled pork sandwich was dry with no bbque sauce, very little coleslaw and a tiny onion ring on one side of the sandwich. I was told the pork was in bbque sauce. The sandwich was advertised as pulled barbecue pork with coleslaw and onion strings. I had two ask for bbque sauce. Overall a bad experience for an $18.00 meal. read more
