Left from last night...maybe my dogs won't mind that two of the toppings tastes old and rotten...

Decided to get their Wednesday 40% off any large deal...paid 24 bucks even with 40% off...got the combo...take out..got it home..my first bite I literally spit out because the linquisa tasted straight up rotten, but I thought maybe it was just me since I'm not a big meat eater..so I just picked it off...I ate 2 slices..then my wife tells me that the sausage tasted bad...I told her I felt that way about the linquisa..about half the pizza was gone so I didn't feel like we could take it back and demand a refund,unfortunately..I will NEVER spend another cent in this joint..I honestly feel their Wednesday. 40% off is a way to use the weeks leftover toppings, rotten or not...bottom line: JACKS PIZZA SUCKS

Cauliflower Crust Pizza with all the good stuff.

This is the ONLY place my husband and I go for pizza, and we've tried alll the places. What keeps us coming back is the Cauliflower Crust pizza- it's so good. Plus, these guys always provide excellent customer service, and the vibe is chill. Thanks Jacks pizza

We were going to a show at the Gallo Center and we weren't hungry for dinner before the show. We know we'd need something to eat after the show so what to get? Wait and many restaurants would be closed, not to mention that waiting for an order to be prepared would make our meal even later. One of our favorite morning, straight out of the fridge foods is pizza. So we decided to look on yelp and see who had a decent pizza. Jack's sounded good so we drove over and ordered a medium Jacks Combo. While we waited, I abused their one pinball machine, Star Wars by Stern. 3 games for $2, a reasonable price. I have never seen a pinball machine set at such a steep angle from back to front. The playfield was so slanted that the velocity of the ball coming down the playfield caused the ball to do one of three things when it made contact with the flipper. One, it went where I wanted it to go (I play league regularly as well as in tournaments). Two, it caused the ball to jump and hit the glass. Three, it caused the ball to jump and fly over the flipper, draining. There's a button in the middle of the top front of the game that is to be used during the game. Well, on this machine, the button is missing but the hole is there. Okay, okay, I digress. I won three games, matched one for a total of seven games for $2 on a machine that's missing an important part. My name was called. We collected our pizza. I took a picture of it and put it in the car. We went to our show and afterwards, ate a slice while still parked. Then we took it up to our hotel room and made the pizza disappear. Delicious!

Pizza was very good. Good customer service too. I'll be back. Wasn't a fan of the ranch dressing, it was kind of sweet.

Pizza is mediocre. Service is blah and their beer is not full. And their pinball machine tilts too easy.

Today I took a friend out to the Twisted Pig for a meal. This review is first my impressions,…read morefollowed by his. First, we were seated promptly (outside, as the inside was full). This worked fine for us. We had our menus and drinks in a reasonable time, and had a relaxing time throughout. We both had the pulled pork sandwich along with the ice tea. I also had the cup of chili - nicely spiced). I enjoyed my sandwich (skipping the bun, as I am trying to limit carbs). My friend, whom I realized often fusses about the meals we share, was more critical. His comments were "Wrong bun, hamburger bun shoulda been an onion bun" and "How long does it take to make a sandwich?" (The wait time was totally reasonable to me.) He didn't like the potato salad (but ate it all with little time spared). He liked the meat in the sandwich, giving it a 5 out of 5. He liked the service less (I felt it was on point and just fine.) The twisted pig is a good place to eat, if it is noisy inside (as it often is) check out the patio.

The flavors and combinations of how they made their sauce for the brussels sprouts. The little bit of cheese, the roasting, just perfectly. Those Brussels spouts were man. Oh, man, so so good. I mean, I was surprised there were any left at the end of lunch because they were so good. Then there was the deep fried pickles. Pickles are just something that you have to either love Em or you hate Em. But deep fried pickles are just that sour taste that I just have to have. I have to have a sweet and a sour and pickles are just that for us. So we enjoyed them. They were just crispy enpugh on the outside with just a nice firm bite of the pickle, tender. And then that bitterness was really good. And then our main meal came, and there is enough food on that platter for two people to share. So if you're getting it for one, you better be a hearty guy like you gotta be a lumberjack guy to eat this all by yourself. Because this is like a platterful. There is like 6 ribs on that plate, 2 mouds of the pulled pork, 2 big huge scoops of macaroni n cheese and like a bag of those tater tots, then they drizzle, drizzle, drizzle, barbecue sauce. All over it, it was just like mouthwatering. When it hit the table. It smelled so good, it was just amazing. And then we just dove in a little bit, tried this a little bit of that, the ribs fell off the bone. It was so good. Now the restaurant is small and looks like it is a locals kinda spot so it is semi loud with sports and men chopping it up, but there were ladies sitting at various tables and a couple of families so it is semi family friendly if you dont mind the bar aspect that is bigger than the eating area in my opinion. We only seen one staff member on the floor and one behind the bar while we were there, but the service was quick and the ladies were attentive so it was a good experience. The decor needs an update and it had a 4 out of 5 vibe for me, but I rate food not people so I would go back for that.

Then I noticed the customers cars- all new nice vehicles (MBZ sedan, new Ford Bronco, Toyota 4-Runner, etc) The bar section was kind of crowded at 4:30pm, only a couple of seats open, so we sat in a funky raised booth with our backs to the window. Seemed like a lot of regulars as they all knew one another. Female bartender came out and took our beer orders and then brought menus. We ordered food (fish & chips, and a BLTA Club). Friend said they have great fish & chips and she was very pleased. i was surprised to find the BLTA far above my expectations for a pub. Fries were good too- perfectly cooked to a golden brown. I would go back for that sandwich when in that area of town. The food items were each just over $20-24, four beers $9 each. With tax and 20% tip it was just under $100 I'd go back 100%. My party was seated fairly quickly. Our waitress took all our orders by memory - we were a party of 8! I got the Chicken Marsala: Chicken, sauce, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I started off with the mixed veggies - they were cooked soft, just how I like them. They were also flavorful! Not just regular ole steamed frozen veggies, they definitely were buttered and seasoned or something. Next, the mashed potatoes. I'm not a mashed potato connoisseur - matter of fact, I usually skip eating mashed potatoes when they're available. These mashed potatoes however were so flavorful! And it was not only the gravy doing all the talking, it was both the mash and the gravy. I was impressed! Lastly, the chicken Marsala. The chicken itself was cooked to perfection, moist on the inside & fully cooked - and with chicken breast, we all know how hard that is to accomplish. The sauce was incredible. I have never had any Marsala sauce as good as that. So much flavor, very savory. Altogether, the flavors worked together and worked perfectly. If only I wasn't an hour away, I would come here more often. I hope to be here again someday!
