I took my 75 F250 (Rather the tow truck did) to Jack's. I told Johnny what I thought the problem was, and not to mess with the surface rust. So after diagnosing my truck it seemed that there was a bit more to it. I told them to fix it. Boy!! Did they! I runs like a champ. Here is a service shop that does good work but they replace parts that don't need replaced. It is always a problem when the incentive is to replace parts bc that's where the money is made. Most shops the mechanic gets a share if the parts replacement parts. read more

My friend and I were on our way to Willapa Bay for salmon fishing. Just south of Shelton when a truck pulled up next to us indicating we had a problem. One of the wheels on the boat trailer was about to fall off. The wheel bearing was shot. We were directed to Jack's Madrona Automotive. When told of our problem, the lady at the counter immediately went looking for Jack. Jake dropped what he was working on and replaced the wheel bearing. I've lived in various parts of the country and have had some great mechanics over the years, but Jack and Barry are THE BEST! These guys really go above and beyond. No matter what's going on with my vehicle, they come to the rescue and find a way of resolving the problem, as inexpensively as possible. Given that I have an older model Toyota Previa (they don't make 'em anymore), not every repair is straightforward; but they take the time to figure out the best way to deal with things. Not only do I appreciate their excellent repair services, Jack and Barry make me feel like I matter as a human being; they're just plain good people. That's important to me. My old trucks water pump went out and I thought it needed a head gasket and I felt that the clutch was weak. I thought it would be between $4-5000 to fix, so I called the junk yard and they said they would give me $440 for it. Jack and Eddie told me to bring it in and they would look at it for me. They replaced a couple of coils and spark plugs with some maintenance, it runs better that before! $760, can't tell you how happy was, because of today prices of cars. My wife's crew cab 7ft bed 1500 Silverado breaks where having problems yesterday (6/7/23) This is our main family vehicle. We are a multi-generational family (Me and my wife, son (18 yrs), and my mother in-law who has dementia, and this is the only vehicle that can accommodate the family. We asked Jack if there was some way, they could fix our Silverado by the next day (6/8/23) because our son was graduating from high school that evening. Jack and his team understood our situation. They had our Silverado fixed by 4:30 pm on 6/8/23 which gave us plenty of time to go to our son's graduation. Jack you guys are awesome. read more

Took my 2005 Fleetwood RV into them for an oil change. They did a check on everything and told me the generator was leaking fuel. We asked them to find the leak. Well , it took them over 2 hours to find the leak then told me it was a stripped fitting and the fuel line had to be replaced at $2700....i questioned it, why would it take so long to find the leak and let them know we just returned from a trip with no problems... but got a big attitude when I questioned then. Then to find out they disconnected all the fuel lines from the generator when I picked it up. So , I finally took it to another RV shop, they said there was nothing wrong, that they could find, they replaced the filter, and hooked up all the fuel lines, with no leaks and now the generator is running....so were they trying to get mo re money from me or???... I will never return to the Olympia Freightliner, after being told from another shop, there was nothing wrong, they just had to hook it back up..... and i don't want to be yelled at again when questioning them read more

Jack was able to get my car in to get an estimate for me to apply for a scholarship from the local community college. While in the shop, I had an oil change done. I'm very happy with the estimate and the oil change. Sadly, the scholarship was nowhere enough to make all the car repairs, so I just left the car as is for now. That being said, I'm planning on dropping my other piece of crap car off on Friday for a clutch repair if I can get a phone estimate first so as not to be too surprised by the repair cost. Based on referrals from friends and dissatisfied with the auto repair service I had been using for 15 years, I had Jack's Madrona Autoworks change my oil/filter and check over my 2002 GMC Safari van. They recommended new front shocks, a brake fluid flush and change, replacement of a fan belt and tensioner and cleaning and adjusting the rear brakes. When I picked up my van, Eddie, the front-desk man, volunteered to show me the old parts, pointing out why they needed replacement. I'm impressed. We can't enough good things about these guys. Our auto's alternator belt shredded and we had appointments in Vancouver that had taken us a long time to get. Rescheduling would have been a nightmare. Jack's Madrona Autoworks fit us in and had us on the road so that we were able to make our appointments. As part of their service, they found that another belt was beginning to go and saved us a ton of headache down the road. Additionally, they did a road check to be sure the car was safe. My family has been using Madrona Autoworks for years now. They have excellent customer service and are always quick to fix whatever is wrong. Most importantly, though, they are honest! Case in point, I had a car that had serious engine problems. Rather than have me fix it and dump a few thousand into it, which I was ready to do. They told me that it is not worth my money and that I would be better off getting a new car. Who does that?? I would highly recommend them. read more
