The price they gave me AFTER DIAGNOSTIC was more expensive than local dealers for the same work. But since the car was already there and the appointment was made that was fine because I didn't have to work until Wednesday and if they had it fixed by Tuesday, no issue... Tuesday rolls around, no phone call, no communication. Late in the day I finally called and asked for an update. They told me it wasn't done and it looked like it would be one more day. So, I made plans to get a ride to work, and plans to pick me up. An hour before they were set to close, still no call, and we call them again, after I made plans to get off early and get a ride to get to the shop only to find out they still have even started on the work. I won't use them again, it was my first time, and suggest you don't either. They seem to want your business and then will hold you hostage until they finally get around to whatever you brought them.

The labor rates are reasonable and they take the time to explain, and show you the issue. They're HONEST, and are not going to sell you a bunch of extra services you don't need, and they actually care about the work they do. I can tell you these things with the utmost confidence. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but I am mechanically inclined and can do some repairs myself. The hours of labor they quoted for the the repair were done by the actual amount of time it took them to do the job. I will start with saying they are very polite and nice but that's about all they've got going. I…read morebrought them my truck KNOWING it needed a transmission replacement or rebuild because they would not give me any kind of quote over the phone, just for them to "diagnose" and tell me it needs a transmission. They told me that they DO NOT rebuild transmissions, they are ONLY willing to replace them with transmissions from a second company whose transmissions are double the price of a factory transmission. They then quoted me almost $8000 to replace my transmission, which any mechanic can pull and replace a transmission for less than Olympic Transmissions. So they charged me $150 just to tell me what I already knew. I highly recommend Thurston county transmission just down the street. They quoted me over the phone less than the cost of Olympics transmission alone to actually rebuild my transmission like to an upgraded heavy duty transmission with a LIFETIME WARRANTY. In my opinion this is a terrible way to run a business and are just scamming people out of a $150 diagnostic fee. They should not claim to be a transmission shop if they aren't even able to rebuild transmissions and only install another company's grossly overpriced transmissions that don't even come with a lifetime warranty like Thurston County Transmission offers for a fraction of the price.
