I took my astro van to get wired for trailer and they never called and installed the wires on the inside of the van that is the dumbest thing I ever saw my wife went there for a left wheel bearing they said the brakes were the problem so 1000 dollars later new complete brakes and still no checks on the wheel bearing which still makes noise I will never go there again read more

They all were very friendly, and the service was fast and my car runs great. I had a problem with my vehicle's air conditioning unit. I had no idea how expensive AC repairs can be. Apparently, some car manufacturers build a car around the AC unit - which means hours of labor to get the dash pulled out and literally hundreds of things to unplug in the process! I paid nearly $3000 to fix a leak in the evaporator core. I couldn't believe the cost until I saw what they had to go through to get to the unit. Then, it wasn't working consistently so I brought the vehicle back for a diagnosis. It turns out I needed an additional part. It was a bit of a fiasco getting that part and having it eventually installed. In the end, Sunshine - the owner, made it right for me. I would have liked for the process to have gone smoothly, but I appreciate the good-faith effort to take care of the customer. read more

The gals in the office listened to my concerns about my car and got me in immediately that day for new pads and rotors on my car. They were not willing to provide the actual receipts for the parts with the manufacturing warranty, which may be a problem down the road as I'm in the midst of a move out of Shelton, but the office assured me I could call back within a specified time to follow up in the event of a failure. Within days of the repair my car started pulling to one side then made a horrific noise. Sunshine is great dealing with freaking out dissatisfied customers who are in the middle of a long distance move. Although the office was unable to check out my car for 2 weeks, she went out of her way to request Vander wall's Garage deal with the problem. She got me immediately with Vander Wal's who discovered Sunshine's over the phone diagnosis was right on point - a rock stuck inside and grinding the wheel components. Now I have great reviews to write of both Denny's and Vander Wal's. My only complaint is there are no car rental companies in Shelton to enable me to return to either shop for repairs in the future. read more

I called for a quote for replacing rotors compared with turning the rotors. The woman that answered the phone initially said she would give me a quote. She took a brief pause and then said she couldn't give me a quote until they inspected my vehicle. I asked why and was rudely told that it was their policy. It's very curious and suspicious to me that the policy changed during the phone call because she was fine giving me a quote just minutes before. If I can't trust the person answering the phone to be honest and up front, I am sure that this is a reflection on the shop as a whole. read more

Their knowledge of fixing cars is probably fine. I don't know. I left after getting the creeps from the employees. The guy who drives you home wears shorts when it's 20 degrees outside (trying to show how tough he is?), and won't say a word during the entire drive to or from. He didn't even greet me when I got in the car or when he dropped me off. He plays pro-Trump AM Radio during the drive. Very disturbing. read more

If I could give this a 0 star I would! So got my wipers done other day. They kept my car over night after diagnosis so can repair first thing in morning. they estimated my diagnostic for car was 100$-180$. they tell me need a new relay fuse and wiper motor. Estimated my total at 641$ well then the next day I get a call at 9:41 & 10am call them back and told that my car won't start they want to put new battery in it cause didn't have right one but it worked and never had issues. Also that the car lost memory since it died last night or sat for so long dead. That the anti theft lock kicked in. That it wasn't their fault. Well I was called back about noon after told her was coming had to get my son ready and she told me hold on not starting again we will call with a update. So I came in to their office 1pm and asked what's going on with my car cause didnt get any calls back and wanted to see it get started. I asked the front lady to start my car I want to see it being started. She wouldn't even do that, looked over her shoulder the mechanic was drilling into the side of my door! I asked her wtf is he doing that has nothing to do with the battery or wipers! That's my door! she couldn't answer me she said my car lost memory when it died. She Insisted I buy a new battery. I got my dad and told him help me get my car. Felt like something wasn't right that they were trying to take advantage of me so at 2pm showed back up asking to see my car and what is being done and starting it and she said no update the mechanic went to lunch. She told my dad the same thing. Also what mechanic or worker doesn't give any updates especially before going to lunch! So my boyfriend gets off work told him what's happening and he goes in about 3:30 with me and she said there is no update and it's not starting. She told my boyfriend the same story, that wasn't their fault but they will fix it. I was told I would have my car by noon. Finally at 4:38pm I get a call back she said it's your battery and that they can order me one 6.5 year for 140$ I didn't even have a choice on the battery either. I was so frustrated and annoyed I needed my car for work and go run errands and get pull ups I said okay. i felt pressured and bullied into getting a battery that or wasn't getting my car and charged more. I get my car I notice they messed up my heater display didn't show the temperature and where it blows, wrote her back and told the lady about it. She said we can fix it for free but if we find anything we will charge you. I spent 10 mins flicking the display and it finally came back on but I know they messed my wiring Up! Also, that night got my car back took the highway to Walmart and my cruise control wasn't working! they Charged me 831$ for it all said and done! Lesson learned! I will not be going back and do NOT recommend their services! wiper relay 39.99$ wiper motor 196.95$ wiper blade one was 14.50$ other one was 12.50$ Fuse 2.50$ battery 140$ diagnosis 180$ total for parts 406.19$ labor 336$ shop supply 22.27$ tax 67.28$ look else where please! Don't make my mistake and get stressed out! I called and made an appointment with Denny's auto thinking that I needed a complete brake job. I had heard scraping sounds and thought it was time for a new brake job. They were able to get me an appointment within the week and I was ready for their 8 o'clock appointment. They called me an hour and a half later and the bill was $24 as they had found a stick that had been lodged in one of the wheel wells scraping. They obviously are a very honest company and I have two more cars I now will start taking him to Denny's !!!!!! Very honest folks! read more

They took great care to find out what was wrong with our truck, it never reenacted for them what it was doing even after one of the mechanics offered to drive it home and back the next day to see if it would. They told us what to do if it did it again and to bring it back in if it does. Our diagnostic fee would be applied to that repair if it happens. This is small town business at its best! My car hit stop mode on me off of I-5 Maytown exit last Friday afternoon. Called Triple AAA to find a shop near Centrilia, only to come to find out no one works weekends. Sitting in the Farmboy parking lot, I remembered my friend from school, now the owner of an auto repair service station in Shelton. I called Denny's Auto Service, which also is Triple AAA approved, and Sunshine was able to fit me in. Had my car towed to Shelton, and even though my car wasn't able to be ready until Monday, the staff went above and beyond offering me a loner. Being a photographer specializing in geology, I am required to drive my car at great distance and over intense terrain. For me finding a mechanic is like finding a good surgeon, so when I got my car back and found that the repairs were superb, I was ecstatic. The car has never run better, and so I will never hesitate driving any of my vehicles from Seattle to Shelton for repair work! I am now a permanent client of Denny's Auto Repair. read more
