The food was outstanding. The pork schnitzel sandwich was cooked perfectly: crispy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. The deviled eggs were some of the best we've had in a long time, creamy with just the right kick. It's clear this is a place run with real pride, and it means a lot to support a local, family-run spot like this in Lodi, especially one with such genuine UOP roots. They've got a unique selection of a few items, including a crab omelette which we tried, it was very good. We also tried the shakshuka too, really tasty stuff. You put that on the soft fresh bread and it tastes like so good together. Service was good when we came, as well as the ambiance there in the morning for breakfast, eating outdoors when the weather is nice is always a mood setter for the day on the weekend or vacation. Bathrooms were clean as well; actually kind of like the single bathrooms as they do have a few and give you more privacy. In terms of menu items, about 95% of the menu items are the same as Stockton's. I tried the Hamachi Crudo, which was refreshing and I also tried the roasted brussels sprouts. The duck confit was probably my favorite as it was so crispy. Although it sat on a bed of sweet sauce, I think it balance as well with the saltiness of the duck. I had a sparkling rosé locally from Lodi, which was refreshing and not stale/metallic. My friend got the salmon which she said was good too. I think overall, the big appeal for us was the fantastic service. At the end of our meal, our server generously gave both me and my friend little baggies of blueberry oatmeal cookies that we tried later. They were so fresh and delicious and soft.
