I was not used to enjoying a salad with beets + watermelon, so now, I am a fan. The crab cakes were flavorful, especially paired with the house-made lemon aioli sauce. The Beef Wellington dish was divine. The meat was super tender, the brown sauce was dynamite and the vegetables + mashed potatoes were the perfect complements. Lastly, the sticky toffee pudding was great, as the dessert was not overly sweet. The green apples added on top provided a nice balance of tartness against the richness. Junior was my server. I appreciated his warm, friendly disposition. He was very kind and attentive the entire time. The Oxford Kitchen and Gastropub has delectable British food. I am so glad that this restaurant is located in Lodi, which is super close to my hometown. I'd definitely return.

If this business has multiple locations, it needs to do better about this sort of thing. My order turned out pretty good. The carne asada was definitely fresh cooked (not old steam tray meat like pretty much everywhere else in town), but the cut wasn't very lean, so there was a fair amount of fat/gristle on the meat, which is unfortunate because everything else about the order was perfect. I also liked their salsa roja which wasn't hot at all but had nice flavor. I feel like this would be a better place to dine in rather than order to go from, especially with all the mixups with the wrong number in the Yelp page. It was really good with a large ice ball to chill it. For bar bites we shared the pork belly sandwiches (small, delicious but messy to eat), the sausage skewers (amazing!) and crab cups (refreshingly light and easy to eat). After cocktails we had glasses of a light white wine, made with Santorini Greek grapes. For the next meal in the dining room the place was a buzz with activity but conversation was easy without a lot of excessive noise. It's intimate and the room is quite pleasant for a gourmet meal. I had a sparkling rosé locally from Lodi, which was refreshing and not stale/metallic. My friend got the salmon which she said was good too. I think overall, the big appeal for us was the fantastic service. At the end of our meal, our server generously gave both me and my friend little baggies of blueberry oatmeal cookies that we tried later. They were so fresh and delicious and soft. Bartenders are very unprofessional. This is supposed to be a classier bar and my friend and I went in there and were treated like we had no such business being there. We were wearing appropriate clothes for the bar since it is classified as a dressier place but they were just so rude and not helpful towards us. I would not go back there. We were there for about four hours.... everybody left except me and my friend both of us females. As the night went on however, the locals came in. We had some big broad, flipping us off across the way while we were just sitting at the bar, and it got way worse. The two gentlemen sitting next to us were there from work and it was their first time as well. They were pipe fitters and they were staying at adjacent hotel, they were going to give us a ride home. For no reason at all about 10 Cowboys hats came our direction and threatened all four of us. We were backed up against the wall as they all stood up and walked over our direction. My friend and I got up and walked around, my friend kept saying this is horrible. We didn't do anything wrong. We keep asking the bartender what's going on why is this happening ??? My friend asked some guy are you just gonna let these guys jump us? The bartender said she was shutting it down told us that we needed to go around and get out of here from the back.. we called 911,four times!!! and no one showed up. We feared for our lives, fortunately one of the locals told us to sit by him and not move and assisted in getting a stranger to drive us all the way back to our hotel. We were so worried about the other two men who did absolutely nothing and were getting punked by the local hillbillies. We have no idea whatever happened to the two guys. We ended up going to their hotel and explaining in case they didn't show up from work the next day. I highly recommend that no one attends this bar unless you live in that neighborhood and know everybody; it's clear Lodi people should be NOT be recommending it. It's a safety concern at this point. And this probably won't be the last time.

I want to come back for music bingo or vinyl night. Bring your own vinyl. Color me intrigued. Not sure what music people listen to here but I have options. They have a lot of cool stuff happening here. Mostly friendly vibes, great beer selection on local craft AND imports. Bathroom report: it's whatever. Reminds me of midtown with the jankiness but I may just be prior-homesick. I wandered into a nearby storeroom for tp one night but there was ? more tp inside the b room that I missed. Oops.
