The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

It takes a lot for me to consider a return visit to a cocktail bar. Most of the time, I just begrudgingly go along with my friends to a mediocre bar, but Blind Pig is a place I would enthusiastically return to again and again. I first got the namesake cocktail: Blind Pig. It was incredibly well-balanced, and the flame presentation upon arrival was an epic mini show. Later during last call, I decided to risk it all and roll the dice to order from the secret menu. I rolled a 5, which got me a wine & Japanese beer concoction with Sichuan peppercorn. Totally feel like this cocktail was made for me, as I rep the 川渝 region. The drink was strong, but that made it all the better. Can't wait to come again and explore more of the menu behind the password-protected iykyk entrance.

The 2nd visit the service was impeccable, everything went exactly as we had hoped. We will be back. We can recommend the scallops and the Salmon, the chicken was very tasty. Since we weren't really in a drinking mood (didn't need a monday hangover haha), we kept it simple with beers - I got a Humble Sea IPA and it was exactly what I wanted! That said, the cocktail menu looked absolutely fabulous and we're already plotting our next visit to actually dig into it properly. And the food - Lost Resort really impressed us. The burger was outstanding, the chicken sandwich was outstanding, and the fish and chips were OMG-level good. Perfectly crispy, generous, the kind of bar food that makes you wonder why more places can't just nail the classics like this :) Genuinely can't wait to come back. They have security outside thar checks IDs & also manages the queue in case the bar gets too crowded. We had no issues getting in, but there were zero indoor seats available - both the bar & table seating. Thankfully, they have a really cozy & well-lit patio area. The waitress let us know that even the outdoor patio has table-side service, so we made ourselves comfortable on the outdoor bench & within seconds she had brought us waters & cocktail menus. Weather outside was really nice, so I'm glad we actually sat outside. Each cocktail is $20, which definitely is a little steep, but I think the creativity, quality, & prestige of being named a top 50 bar supports the price. Each part of the menu is organized by liquor ie whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, etc. We tried 4 drinks total. I only took menu photos of the pages we ordered from but they have a lot more selections. We ordered the Kung Fu Pandan, Silky Street, Rice Rice Baby, & Tropical Gangsta. We had some favorites over others, but all were very well crafted! The drinks came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. The only hiccup was our final drink took quite a while. Turns out the ticket machine malfunctioned & deleted orders put in & caused a back-up. I don't know if it is some legal reason, but that would make this bar even better if they just closed the door.

You can tell Shoji puts real intention into the drink program--the flavors were balanced, the presentation was beautiful, and everything felt elevated without being overdone. It is the kind of place where even a simple coffee or matcha feels special. I also loved that there are different areas to enjoy depending on your mood. The back patio is bright, open, and beautifully lit, making it a great spot to sit and relax. Inside, the darker, more intimate seating area has a cozy, quiet, almost hidden-gem feeling that would be perfect for a date or a slower morning coffee. The contrast between the quick-service front and the more atmospheric seating areas makes the whole place feel very well thought out. Shoji is easily one of the best coffee experiences I've had in San Francisco. I'm honestly surprised there isn't already more than one location, because this concept could be a huge hit throughout the city.
