Walking into the restaurant the ambience and the set up is 10/10, with no doubt. We had a reservation and was seated within 7 mins. Got to our table and we waited about 15 mins for them to come by and ask us for our drinks. I ordered the Pineapple Daiquiri 10/10, Now to the food, we ordered the Loaded Potato Skins.. it's literally a potato cut in half with cheese, chili beans, onions and sour cream.. Wouk not order again. Main course dishes: Filet Mignon.. they completely messed it up, ordered it medium well, closer to well and it was MOOING back at me and I ordered mushroom sauce and they gave me chimichurri sauce, all messed up.. the veggies not seasoned at all and they are green beans and carrots... Someone order the ribeye at the table and they rated it a 8/10 they added sauce on top when she didn't order any sauce.. my bf had the brisket, he liked it but they messed up on his sides as well, he doesn't recommend eating the chili beans as they were COLD. Lastly, we ordered the Mac n Cheese.. 6/10 no bread crumbs and barely any cheese sauce.. The new Jackalope is nothing like the old one.. I feel they need to do a few side food changes to upgrade "the ranch" feeling to the food and maybe some seasoning. They did end up taking my food off the bill because when they brought it back.. it wasn't any better... $200 bill and wasn't worth it, hopefully they can get better with the food quality. Worse costumer service when it comes to Natalie the event coordinator. Sat down with her to plan our wedding and was great! The following conversations; it was like she never met us. Every phone call, she never returned. She never got back to us with a proposal; even though she promised one with in a week. This restaurant will not last with the management they have. Just ate their service was good. Ambiance was good. Nice selection of beer wine and spirits. Food not so good. I had the brisket flavor was bland and the meat was dry. The atmosphere is fun and energetic, service and food were really good. I really recommend reservations... so many people just "drop in" and it is ridiculous because then they complain about having to wait. It was impacting the reservations but I think they have worked that out. When it is crowded just be patient. Staffing in the bar is important as we waited over 20+ minutes just for our drinks. We shared the brisket - which was tender and had good bbq flavors. They didn't charge a split fee, which maybe they should because the sides were plentiful on each plate- too much to eat for sure. The coleslaw has a unique taste but is really good, not a beans fan in general. The Mac & cheese is really good- we didn't add any protein to it though. We will definitely be back- but as a local we will see how the season goes ... many times we wait til everyone leaves so we can enjoy the less crowded experience. read more

Visited 7/11/2019 Between 3 to 4 Stars. This place has a lot more potential with a little effort. Beautiful piece of property with a beautiful bar. The staff from the moment you walk in the door are first class. 4 Stars. Ambience inside and out is magnificent. 5 Stars. The food was a mixed review however. As a starter the calamari fries were amazing being very tender and flavorful. Handmade tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were fabulous. 4 1/2 Stars. The Brisket was tender and tasty I could've used a bit more smoke flavor from the smoker. 3 Stars. The french fries and the coleslaw both were good. Sadly The Pork Ribs were a disappointment as they were overly cooked to death. Reminded me of beef jerky. 1 1/2 Stars. The Grande margaritas were very good and quite strong Liquor wise. 4 Stars. The after dinner coffee drinks were amazing. 5 Stars. Overall experience 4Stars. Sadly the advertisements for Prime Rib Thursday didn't work out as they ran out of Prime Rib by 6;00pm even though the place was empty. Wasted the 2 hour drive I took to try it. We came for a girls night out birthday dinner. The food was delicious and very flavorful. We had chicken, ribs, brisket & fish. Nobody was disappointed with our orders. The margarita drinks were great they were made with freshly blended fruit. Our server Alex was so friendly and took care of us. The prices were very affordable for what we got. The birthday girl was a little disappointed because there was no entertainment that sat night But we will be coming back again when in town. read more

This restaurant is beautiful and spacious. Sadly the appearance does not represent the product. We have visited twice. The first run was bad, but we thought maybe we just had a new server or it was an off night, so we wanted to give it another try. Turns out they are consistently bad. On both occasions the service was horrible (servers didn't know anything about menu items, drinks not made as described on the menu (Palomas made without tajin), waited forever to get our checks, dumped my daughters chicken tenders on the table when serving (with zero acknowledgement/apology) and the food was mediocre (at best). Although pretty, Jackalope Ranch is best described as an Applebee's quality place but triple the price. read more

I sooo wanted to like this place. The interior and exterior of this expansive restaurant is unique. They have an indoor and an outdoor bar and the grounds are lovely. Unfortunately the service and food were substandard. Had a reservation and had to wait 20 minutes to be seated (bugs me when I see plenty of empty tables). Finally seated our service was painfully slow, from our cocktails to our food! Our food was delivered after 45+ minutes and without silverware. Food was lukewarm and our salad lacked enough dressing. On the other hand, our brisket was drowning in bbq sauce! Server only came once to see if we needed any more drinks. Haven't tipped 10% in a long time. The glory days have passed. This place reopened in December after closing for a couple years in the pandemic. Sign says under new management. Usually that means expect great new things. Which would have been hard because it used to be a great place. Well turns out it was a warning. Had a reservation for Sunday lunch. First time back so we don't know what they offer now. Ask us if a booth is good we say yes but notice as we're seated that the restaurant is empty. We look through the windows and see there is a stage and someone is singing and there's a beautiful garden area where everyone else is seated outside. We were never even told that this was an option. I order a vigin bloody mary and ask the waitress if they still serve them like they used to. She gave me this blank look and just walked away. She came back later with a glass of tomato juice with a pile of salt around the rim and a green olive. Nope not like they used to. My husband and I look over the menu and decide on brisket for me and flank steak with chimichurri for him. They don't even offer a bake potato or salad with these. Beans, which were in some kind of canned tomato sauce/bbq sauce mixture that is so salty from sitting and simmering, corn on the cob with no seasoning, butter, not even salt/pepper, what they called corn bread was a 1 inch cube of dense, wet cake stuff with this tiny flower of butter piped on top, we opt out of the Cole slaw and asked for fries instead since there was no baked potato. The fries were the best thing on the plate and they were just the seasoned frozen kind. My brisket was just meat with some bbq sauce swiped on top of the pile. The meat did not have anything special to it. Not seasoned well either. My husband's was no better. Same sides, same way. The meat was chewy and bland. Chimichurri came in a sauce cup. Just olive oil with some herbs. Did nothing for the meat. All in all, a waste of $80 on a meal that was worth $35 at best. Too bad. Used to be a great place. read more

Fortunately we had a server named Lauren who came to our table & welcomed us with a huge smile!!! First of all great to see it's open and what a great facility. Bar tender was very attentive. Good friendly atmosphere. Sat outside for dinner. Great atmosphere again. Service was a little untrained for the prices they need to be a little more professional. Ordered brisket dinner. Had no bbq flavor was overcooked and should not be called smoked. Call it meat with some sauce. Beans came out cold. Sent them back and waitress couldn't understand why they needed to be hot. They tasted like Mexican bean dip. I do wish them good luck but I won't be back unless there is a big change. read more

Let me start by saying how much we wanted to love this place...it is absolutely beautiful! (Think a combo of Palm Springs x Disney Resort). We started with a couple of Moscow Mules--served in a regular glass rather than a brass mug (!!!), tasted watered down and like flat ginger beer. The "cowboy caviar" app, basically nachos, was good but cold. Entrees for a party of 6 arrived in three separate serves approximately 10 minutes from start to finish (3 meals served, then 2 meals served, then the last meal served). Sides requested when ordering (avocado and ranch) were not served until requested a second time. Prices were high--our bill was $253 before tip for one appetizer, 6 basic meals (a burger, 3 salads, fish and chips, mac and cheese) one beer and 2 Moscow mules!!! Super disappointed, but will wait a few more months and then give it a second chance, with fingers crossed for a better experience! read more

This is a HUGE space but, interestingly laid out. Different levels reached on elevated walkways. Bar is also big with lounge tables and booths. Outside space during warm weather a real plus - with walkways and paths meandering through lovely scrubberies. We went for "Happy Hour" and sat at the bar. Well drinks were good and the food was better. We shared Loaded Baked Potato Skins with Pulled Pork and Chicken Tinga Nachos with spicy Pulled Chicken, Salsa, Borracho Pork, Black Beans, Sour Cream, Guacamole, Cheddar, Oaxaca & Jack Cheese. From the greeters at the host stand who avoided eye contact, to the waitress who blamed everyone else for her mistakes, service was poor in every aspect. Such a shame as the food is delicious. We had very good service provided by Ernesto. Our drinks were provided quickly. My Cobb salad was fresh & delicious. The crab cakes were delicious. The fish & chips were average. And finally the patty melt was very much enjoyed by my friend. She noted the patty meat was very tasty & perfectly cooked. I will say, I was a bit apprehensive on our 1st return to Jackalope since their reopening. After reading several negative reviews regarding the service. But, I must give Ernesto credit where due.
