I went to Jack in the Box because i wanted a burger and I liked their curly fries. Customer service was good no complaints there, however, the trouble started when i went to get my fountain drink. There was no ice, no biggie not a big deal. They eventually refilled the ice. However, the trouble continued. As i was finishing up my burger and fries i noticed a too hard pieces in my burger, i pulled it out of my mouth and to my surprise a few small bits and bones were found. DO NOT TRUST THIS JACK IN THE BOX. I don't go here often, but when I do they NEVER give me a receipt. I always have to ask for it. And this last time I asked for it and at first they struggled to find my correct recite in the long chain of recites. They handed me one that was for someone else's order that was way more than what I purchased. So when I told them "that's not my order" they finally found it and gave me the correct receipt. But I wasn't confident in what I was charged. So once I came out of the drive-through I parked and compared the receipt to what I was just charged on my banking app. The receipt says the meal was only $5.93, but I was charged $7.15. I know that's not a huge difference but I think they totally scammed me. So I went back inside demanding answers, and all they did was hand me the difference in cash without any explanation as to why I was overcharged. Ashamedly, my dealings with this dining establishment revolve entirely around late night drunken Door Dash orders. The kinds of orders you shut the alarm system off for - if it doesn't show up on your doorbell camera, it never happened. My Door Dash JITB history is peppered with half-assed attempts at maintaining some shred of decency. Burgers with no mayo - keeping it healthy, you know. Trying to convince myself that I wasn't acting like a complete bottom feeder. Trying to believe that my bouts of drunkenness hadn't completely obliterated my self-discipline. But there I have been on many nights - phone in one hand and beer in the other - salivating over pic after pic of uni-colored food items. The Jumbo Egg Rolls are the sole salvation of my intoxicated evenings. Only they arrive hot, fresh, and crispy. Yesterday I came to this restaurant and they gave us terrible food. This is coming from someone who loves this specific location and is typically happy with their service. After messing up a whole $25 order (so bad that my fiancé compared the bowl to "cat food.") they proceeded to tell us their ownership doesn't "believe in refunds" but they would remake our food. Obviously after what we had just eaten that's not what we were wanting to do. They took $25 from someone in the middle of a state of emergency in America and have the nerve to talk down to us and tell us we were just trying to "pull one over." When I called the manager she didn't answer; and then called me back and said that she was waiting on my call and I should of called her while I was in the drive thru (which I did! And she never answered until I got home!) She continued to answer by saying "ok what's wrong what you want" in a ghetto and honestly just DISRESPECTFUL tone. Then she interrupted me, told me I was lying, and when I told her to let me finish she said "do you want an answer or not cuz I'm gonna speak now." She ended up speaking with my fiancé and told us to come back to get our food today. We then went back the today to have our order replaced, but they told us we had to purchase our drinks ourselves. Tonya (the manager I've been dealing with the whole time) also told us that we lied and her crew claims the food was made to order. If that's so, why did the food taste 100 times better today?! Because it was ACTUALLY fresh. Once we got the food, I messaged the owner and let her know that it was better, but also commented on her actions towards us on her cell number she gave me. I will include a screenshot below of how she responded. Yes, I went in on her a little bit, but the manager of an establishment shouldn't be telling me "come say it face to face not through text." Late night meals are tougher to judge. One - because when you're really hungry, you're really asking for anything to be put in your belly. Two - you usually find yourself in a drive thru in a town you've never been in. Both of these items are marked "check" during this trip. After a 5k run on the tready, I was hungry. I then found across the street a Jack-In-The-Box, or for others who went to LSU with me (JITB - pronounced Jit-bee). No way did I want to go in, I'm all about the drive thru 11:30 at night. The menu was a crazy as I remembered. Offering 60 burger items, 20 chicken items, 40 breakfast items, and so on. I started to panic as I tried to make my mind up quickly. As a default move at a burger joint, I opted for the chicken fingers?! Sure. Why not. Also grabbed a Jumbo Jack so that I can review the burger. Added an oreo shake, because you just have to (I'm still waiting for Oreo to come out with a cereal). The drive thru line moved pretty quickly. The cashier seemed to be multi-tasking, both trying to give me my food, make other orders, and also taking other orders. This sucked, because I asked for ketchup, but found my bag of food once I got back to the apartment with a bunch of taco sauce. Gotta love that burger-pupa (get it?! burger + chalupa?!). Guy didn't ask what kind of sauce I wanted with the chicken fingers, which I thought was the standard, so I asked for myself. I asked for gravy since I was back in the south, but he looked at me funny and replied, "ranch, BBQ, or honey mustard." I opted for the ranch. As I drove back to my hotel, waiting to go kanye on my food. First I took the pictures, said a little prayer and then went crazy. Quality: Chicken fingers sucked. It seemed to have breadcrumbs made for a fish fry coated on the chicken. The burger was pretty good for fast-food. Nice value menu pick up. The shake was really good, but considering it was a milk shake made with oreos, I wish they would have given me either a spoon or a bigger straw. After 20 minutes of trying to inhale this milkshake.
