I think this place may be the best value in Key West. Their prices are some of the most reasonable we found in town and the food is terrific. We had to do takeout (my husband came down with covid) so we couldn't enjoy eating in the actual restaurant. The takeout order was prepared with no mixups. My only complaint was I stood at the bar for a while waiting for someone to notice me (while my husband drove around the block twice). Next time we are in Key West we'll be eating here for sure! We've been here several times over the years and when in town recently, stopped in after having dinner elsewhere for drinks. We sat at the bar, which is what we wanted, but they were packed and these were actually the only 2 seats left and they do have a large bar. Service was fast and efficient. We tried a couple of the cocktails on their cocktail list and they were decent. When we came in, they had music playing, but then switched the audio over to the basketball game, which made no sense on a Friday night when only 4 guys at the bar were watching the game and everyone else was just enjoying the vibe... Went there while on a short vacation. So convenient to my hotel. I was able to take a 3 minute walk and get a GREAT burger! The meat was cooked to request. Mani mahi sliders - average. I wouldn't order again. The fish was slightly dry, and kind of tiny pieces on the buns - the spicy mayo was a nice touch, but overall, meh. Party of four visited to watch our teams-all different-play football. The place was packed, but we were able to get a booth. Our server was efficient and worked hard to bring us beers and food. The food was pretty decent for bar food-no complaints. I asked staff if some of the TV's near us, which were all showing the same game, could be changed to show some different teams. It was a struggle to get this done, but someone finally was able to put on two different games for us. Not sure why this was such an issue-no one was watching the games and it was no big deal to have it changed. It was our last day in key west, and our car wouldn't start. So it started off pretty bad. so while we're waiting to get it fixed, we were hungry. AND HOT! so we walked duval and most places our outside and we really needed AC. So we stumbled upon jacks. the AC was really cold, which we loved on a day like today. We sat down. Ordered a couple beers. and 2 sandwiches (the Cuban mix and the shrimp po boy). Both were really good, as you can see in the picture we kind of devoured our food before I could take a picture of it. Our waitress checked on us, gave us everything we needed, and re filled out waters (without us even asking!). The manager even came over and asked how we were doing. Great service. It is your typical bar/comfort food. But, it's perfectly priced for the quality unlike everywhere else in key west. read more

When the server came, she was very nice, however, we then waited 35+ mins for 3 meals to come out and the server never came by the table or expressed why it was taking so long. This establishment was ok. My Waitriss lady was good and quick with our water and cola. I did not appreciate the duck grey tape on my seat. It was tackie and stickie. They had loads of TVs and I could watch them all from my seat which was relly cool. The price was ok - but must prices in this place are a lot. This is my favorite bar in KW, I have been coming here for about 15 years, when I first came here with friends and loved ones a long time ago. The food is consistent and the service is to notch and fast... Which is something to be desired in the keys (it's really laid back here no doubt). I can always count on quality and consistency at Jack's. I love sports and they will have your game on- our put it on at your request... They usually have all the games on, so there is never a dull moment, esp with the worldwide tourists lol Doug is my go to bartender, and one of the best in Key West if you ask me. He'll remember your drink if you visit every few months, pretty good memory. I've eaten most of the menu and have never been disappointed. If you like sports and great pub type food, go here! Walking back to the cruise ship and stumbled on this great place to drink a cold one and grab a solid bite to eat. Mike is behind the bar. He's got a great vibe! Great place to watch sports on the island. Many TVs to watch different games at once. Pretzel bread was great!

My girlfriend and I came here for a quick lunch and ended up having a great time. To start, the environment is very welcoming and laid back. Everyone in service was very welcoming and a special thank you to Sergey for being so attentive to our allergies. This is the best bar in Key West to watch sports! They have numerous large projector screens & TV's. They also have the ultimate sports package so they'll have the channel you're looking for, no doubt. The service is great & Cassie is an excellent bartender, an expert in her craft. The ambiance is that of your prototypical sports bar. The food is really good too!! I spent about a week in Key West & tried a few thing off the menu -- the wasabi tuna appetizer was particularly tasty, definitely give it try. I was on vacation during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Where was I to go? I needed to scream my lungs out for my New York Rangers!! I needed a sports bar - and one not too sports bar-ish since the wife was with me. Yes, I could have stayed at home but screaming at my Dad's TV wouldn't be the same. I found Jack Flats on Yelp and it was the perfect balance for me (the hockey fanatic) and my wife (the less than enthusiast hockey bystander). We were on Duval for an event that afternoon (Drag Race to celebrate the founding days) and were just a few shorts blocks away. We headed over a few minutes before the game and saw that there was a fair amount of seating that was open. I opted for a booth, knowing I could sit sideway and lean back against the wall to watch the game. Also gave the wifey a place to relax since she isn't really a belly up to the bar type of gal. I stepped into the restroom once I saw our booth and when I returned there was a menu, water and something that looked like a speaker. My wife explained to me that the speaker could be changed to match any TV behind the bar so I never had to miss the audio of the game! So cool. I've NEVER seen this before and I now wish these speakers were EVEYRWHERE!! We ordered and I opted for a burger and fries. It arrived shortly after ordering and was delicious. I devoured the burger and then kept the fries close to pick at while I watched the game. The servers were all very kind and checked on us but weren't overbearing. The game didn't go well but the vibe of the bar was awesome, the food was on point, and this will easily become another of my fave Duval spots. For NHL fans - the bar definitely makes it to the Playoffs every season! read more

I have mixed feelings in posting this negative review, but i feel it is necessary. We are in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, and I felt welcomed coming into the place. I was with two dogs, and places were just open for 4 p.m., which I guessed was happy hour. We passed on a few places, and wanted to get into others that were closed. A greeter met us outside Jack Flats, and welcomed us in with both dogs. She said to sit at the first table - which we did, and to put the dogs on the window side of the table, which we did. Now, my attitude about this is if you don't want us to come with dogs, don't welcome us in. So while the initial invitation was great (as well as the person who I believed to be the owner pouring water for the dogs), the experience from then on went downhill. When a family with several kids (at least three) went skipping out the font, right past the dogs, one of the dogs barked. A person behind the bar identifying herself as the manager walked over and said that the dogs can't bark, or we would have to leave. I was ready to leave but me an my companion stayed. My reaction was: sure, the dogs do need to behave. But the kids skipping past the dogs need to behave too, and they were the cause for this. Then, another waitress (not ours) kept on glaring over at us, talking to the manger each time she passed. It seemed clear they were talking about us, and making us uncomfortable. They still could have asked us to leave, and we would have - but now, we started to dig our heels in. We mentioned that they asked us to come in, the person greeting people welcomed us, and the waiter was providing good service - even though she seemed to start explaining to us where the dogs should be each time they moved around. She also seemed to be told that the dogs needed to be contained, making us feel all the more uncomfortable. On the way out, my companion seemed to voice her own frustration with the way we were treated, and the fact that they welcomed us in. The woman that came to us went to her and told her she was the manger, that she "loved" dogs, but we needed to control them inside the restaurant while kids need not be contained in the same way. She defended herself by saying there was nothing she could do about the kids causing the dogs to get excited and barking, but the dogs needed to behave - not the kids. I don't know where the second snarly waitress was, who was the person most responsible for making us feel uncomfortable. She did not address the issue of whether she told our waitress to do something about the dogs. I will again say: the person welcoming us in was very nice to us. Our waitress was excellent. But if you don't want dogs, don't invite us in. If you invite us in during a pandemic, treat us nicely, and don't make us feel uncomfortable. The manager and the snarly waitress did just that, and I ask the owner to deal with them. Aside from our positive experience with our waitress and the greeter, this is not a place that really makes people invited in feel welcome. As for the food - average, greasy bar food that happens to be in a pretty location in the midst of a pandemic down in Key West. Other places, after we ate there, looked much better. I can recommend an ice cream place we ate at afterwords that treated us much better. read more

I never felt like I had to look for her or feel hounded. The food came out quickly too. Granted, our orders were pretty quick. I was eating a ton of delicious food in Key West, but today, I wanted something light. I ordered the turkey club and my husband ordered the poblano chicken salad. Both were very tasty and light. The poblano chicken salad wasn't too spicy. It was just spicy enough that you felt a little kick in the back of your throat.
