The service was very good with the server coming back to check on us often. We went to watch the Stanley cup finals and the atmosphere was great with all of the other panther fans in there cheering on the team. They played the game with the sound on and had it on multiple tv's. Jack Flats is a great place to eat, drink, and just hang out. read more

I liked the fact this place wasn't crowded so it was easy to social distance. But we were very uncomfortable with the servers wearing their masks below their nose or on their chins. This was a pretty good place. The staff was really nice and funny. They were short staffed so they told us to sit at the bar instead of the tables which was perfectly fine. We ate well and drank well. Just like every other bar on Duval, it's a bit sticky and a bit dirty, but it all just adds to the charm down there. I knew from the beginning that this sport bar was legit because the crowd was really enjoying the vibe in the restaurant. It didn't take long for me and my wife to sit down. We had great seats to watch the South Carolina v Notre Dame game and the other hockey games. I ordered the fish sandwich (grouper) which was recommended by the waiter (I'll get back to you on the waiter!). It was perfect. The sandwich had two strips of fish which was a bit too much for a sandwich, so I took one off and dipped it in the tartar sauce. That's a lie. I ate both strips on the sandwich as it should be eaten. My wife ordered nachos because she pretty much gets them everywhere she goes. The nachos were okay. Nothing crazy about them. Just a lot of sour cream on top. We ordered crazy lady beers to go with the food and we also got a key lime pie, which was exceptional. Overall, I really enjoyed the vibe and the food at this restaurant. And if you are in town and want to catch a game, a highly recommend for you to go to Jack Flats. As for the waiter, he was attentive. He made sure the food came out as ordered and he checked up on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. read more

JF came recommended by a lot of locals as the 'best sports bar in Key West'. We were not disappointed! It is larger on the inside than appears outside the door on Duval. The host a combo of booths, high tops & tables for seating. There are over 30 TVs & you can ask for your own personal speaker to listen to whichever tv you want. Our waitress was great! Food came out at a good pace after we ordered-it was nice to finally go somewhere where we didn't feel like our food was sitting under a lamp for a while waiting to be brought out. Food was shockingly good too (I never have super high hopes for bar food, usually expect it to be average). The Mahi Mahi sliders were so good! Buns were toasted with key lime mayo on them & I would recommend putting the coleslaw on the slider too (comes on the side). We also enjoyed the pretzels and cheese, wings & salads. The salads are HUGE. And you can add whatever protein you want (I did buffalo chicken). Price of food also wasn't atrocious like everywhere else. Came to the keys to treat my mom for a birthday weekend since she was visiting from NJ. Walked up Duval st looking for a place low key and not too busy. As we were looking at the menu, a group was exiting and was raving how good the food was so we figured why not. I ordered some key Lome shrimp, came with rice and green beans. The shrimp in the key lime sauce was everything and the shrimp was huge. My mom got a Ruben sandwich with some sweet potato fries. She said it was great and it was enough to have for lunch the next day. The service was awesome, I would definitely come back to eat when If I'm in key west again. Stopped In For a drink here during happy hour and a rainstorm! Even for a Saturday it was very relaxed and chill.

Had lunch here today and it was the best place!!! Very clean, MANY large screen TV's, and comfortable booths! The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The server was right on the money. Our drinks....always full. We started with the Buffalo Shrimp w/blue cheese & celery. The sauce on the shrimp was just hot enough and left you wanting more. The blue cheese dressing had chunks of blue cheese and very delicious! Then we shared the Fish & Chips & Popcorn Shrimp. The shrimps were medium sized, tender, great tasting! Not to mention they were piled HIGH!! We also took an order "to go" of the Margarita Lime Chicken, which had a delicious Spanish rice and black beans. The Key Lime pie was home made and the best ever!! I highs recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back! read more

I visited Jack Flats this last weekend when in key west and I tried the key lime pie cider which was a super delicious twist to cider.. had a nice taste right i between a light ale and cider.. Then I ordered a 10 piece hot Buffalo wings; The wings were cooked well but they weren't hot at all more like a mild but still good.. and then I also ordered the fried fish sandwich made of grouper fish with fries.. The fries were super good and crispy. and for the most part the sandwich was yummy but the batter could have used a bit more flavor and it had a lot of batter not so much fish meat. My wife and I are on our last night of vacation and we were hoping to get a late night bite to eat. I looked up Tripadvisor to see what restaurants are open late. We found that Jack Flats was open till 1 AM. We verified this against the Google page and Yelp! Although, in their defense, those pages listed the closing time at midnight. However, we headed over there around 10 PM only to be told that, because it's slow, everybody's going home. The girl was heading out the door, getting ready to go home, and acted like it was an inconvenience to even talk to us. She curtly recommended two other restaurants that she said would be open. One, a pizza place, two, a place that serves grilled cheese sandwiches. No offense to grilled cheese lovers out there, but I did not come down to Key West to have grilled cheese . Secondly, the pizza restaurant that she recommended was closed anyways. So sadly, my wife and I had to go hit a drive-through. Definitely a lowlight of our vacation. If your operating hours are going to vary why don't you put that someplace on your website? Why don't you make some notes so that we don't waste our time, gas and money in the parking meter, etc. We understand the slow flow of business will cause you to close early, but is it not a detriment to your business if you can't even make a note of that on your website? Either ownership or management dropped that ball. We visit Key West once a year and always look for new places to eat. We will definitely not be trying this establishment. read more

In a very touristy area of Key West, Jack Flats pretty much called out "eat here" as we passed by so we stopped in for lunch. With excellent service from Steph, our waitress, we ordered the blackened Mahi sliders - four sliders filled with generous servings of crispy, pleasantly spiced Mahi filets with key lime aioli and the wonderful wasabi panko-crusted yellowfin Tuna. Topped off with Waterfront Brewery local beers and a refreshing 3 Daughters Key Lime Cider, and key lime pie, our lunch was delicious. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had an undercooked and extremely salty mahi sandwich, to the point where the inside of my mouth felt corse after just two bites. The server was excellent and immediately brought over the manager, Katie, to help. Katie was no help. Absolute worst service I have experienced at a restaurant. I politely asked for a substitution as it was inedible, and she snarkly replied with "I've sold 50 mahi sandwiches today, so I know this one's good." She refused the substitution with refund, and continued to insist that I pay for the sandwich if I wanted anything else off the menu in an extremely condescending and rude fashion. Then threatened to call the police on me. I agreed to pay, but couldn't even stomach the idea of having anything else from this place. I'm incredibly impressed by how quickly that disgusting excuse for a sandwich has made my stomach turn. Must also be Katie's embarrassing excuse for customer service. Will never come back. This place is a bar fir sure but with a twist. Great food!!!! Not typical bar food at all and everything is very good. From the southwest texmex egg rolls to the Buffalo shrimp and Cuban sandwich. The place is packed for college football. Not an empty seat in the house. The staff is amazing and all the drinks were good too. read more

You will never be short of a TV to watch here! I can definitely tell you that. I also thought it was super awesome that while we were walking down Duval Street to find a place to eat, there was a hostess that came outside and told us how great the food was. We listened and got sat right away. Sweet. We started with their Pretzel Bread-Pretzel Baguettes-lightly fried and salted, served with homemade cheese sauce for dipping. They have a half or full order. We went with full. There was five of us. I love warm pretzels with cheese. The fried version added a little crispiness. I liked it! I got the Blackened Mahi Sliders for my main course- little mahi-mahi sandwiches, lightly blackened and served with homemade Key Lime mayo. I added cheese. They were awesome. Friends at the table were also pleased with their choices: U.S. 1 Sliders, Sesame Crusted Ahi Salad, Caesar Salad, Sweet Potato Fries...all came out great! Check out the pics. Tonight was my first time time at Jack Flats, despite being a longtime Key West visitor and new Key West resident. It's a sports bar type environment with a lot of TVs (think Beef O Brady's) with some fish and boat decor thrown in. I had a club sandwich with fries, which was really good, and my family enjoyed their meals as well. They have a kids menu which is nice and my occasionally picky daughter liked her chicken and fries. Service was a tad slow when we first arrived, but nothing terrible (and that's honestly happening everywhere lately, since it's so tough for companies to find employees, so I understand!) Everyone was nice and friendly. I will definitely return and recommend this place to others. read more

We went to enjoy the Conch Republic celebrations. This Sports Bar was almost across the street from our hotel (La Concha) and we hit this place quite a few times! We enjoyed the service because from the moment we sat at the bar, we became very happy with the welcome. The food is really good, great Sliders and the Reuben was probably one of the best I have ever eaten. My smarter half enjoyed the Steak Salad. We've been here several times over the years and when in town recently, stopped in after having dinner elsewhere for drinks. We sat at the bar, which is what we wanted, but they were packed and these were actually the only 2 seats left and they do have a large bar. Service was fast and efficient. We tried a couple of the cocktails on their cocktail list and they were decent. When we came in, they had music playing, but then switched the audio over to the basketball game, which made no sense on a Friday night when only 4 guys at the bar were watching the game and everyone else was just enjoying the vibe... I think this place may be the best value in Key West. Their prices are some of the most reasonable we found in town and the food is terrific. We had to do takeout (my husband came down with covid) so we couldn't enjoy eating in the actual restaurant. The takeout order was prepared with no mixups. My only complaint was I stood at the bar for a while waiting for someone to notice me (while my husband drove around the block twice). Next time we are in Key West we'll be eating here for sure! Ducked in during COVID lockdown as this was one of only two spots on Duval that were serving food and drink that fine Saturday afternoon recently. They delivered. Party of four visited to watch our teams-all different-play football. The place was packed, but we were able to get a booth. Our server was efficient and worked hard to bring us beers and food. The food was pretty decent for bar food-no complaints. I asked staff if some of the TV's near us, which were all showing the same game, could be changed to show some different teams. It was a struggle to get this done, but someone finally was able to put on two different games for us. Not sure why this was such an issue-no one was watching the games and it was no big deal to have it changed.
