Southernmost Beach Cafe is a great place to grab a bite while visiting the Southernmost Point. The location is hard to beat, with beautiful waterfront views and the newly improved Southernmost Point monument now located right next to the restaurant, making it a convenient stop after sightseeing. Great service at this restaurant. On my most recent visit, the views weren't quite as picturesque because there was a large amount of sargassum (seaweed) along the shoreline. A skid steer was actively pushing it into piles, and the smell was unfortunately pretty strong. That's obviously a natural condition and not really the restaurant's fault, but it did take away from the overall waterfront experience that day. Thankfully, the food was still excellent. The conch fritters are a must-order, and the fish tacos were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and was served quickly. The restaurant offers all outdoor seating with views of the beach and the neighboring hotel's sandy beachfront, complete with lounge chairs and umbrellas, giving it a laid-back Key West vibe. There's also convenient off-street parking nearby, which is a nice bonus. If you're exploring the Southernmost Point and want a casual spot with good food and a relaxing atmosphere, Southernmost Beach Cafe is definitely worth a visit. Hopefully, you'll catch it on a day when the water is clear and free of sargassum so you can fully enjoy the views. read more

Did not expect that the food would be as good as it was. The watermelon burrata salad with grilled shrimp was excellent. The tuna tartare with nachos were fresh and had the perfect blend of spice. The view is beachfront and the service is quick. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. read more

Nice location with a beach view right on the water 90 miles from Cuba. Dining area was nicely laid out service was ok and you get to share your tables with the pigeons that land on your table. The focaccia bread was good that's where it kind of ended. Key Lime martini was fair the chicken Alfredo was tasteless as was the seafood Fra Diavolo. We're used to pasta like spaghetti or linguine but both were more egg noodles. I'm sure there are better choices in town read more

What a trip it was getting down to Southernmost, and what a trip Southernmost is! We visited for brunch and the place was almost packed. Fortunately for us, there was a table big enough for our group. That table came with a view and what a view it was! The beautiful ocean lapping on the shore, sun shining, and tourists exposing themselves to the rays. Did I say exposing? Yes I did. Boy did they ever expose themselves. Most of the ladies were scantily clad, their upper torsos capturing the warmth of the sun leaving us diners to ponder. To what end this ponder? Well, I'm sure that my ponder was different than my girlfriends. I'm sure you get my points. Aside from the floor show, the food was very good. Everything was fresh and tasty. The eggs? Well they could have been harvested straight from the chickens that were weaving their way through our feet beneath our table. You know, those chickens will eat anything. They're not even averse to pecking at their scrambled young! Southernmost doesn't want them there. They employ wranglers who try to corral the fricassee and squirt them using water bottles. Herding them onto the beach. Now that's a job I'd like to have. Oopps ma'am, sorry about the overspray. You're going to enjoy the food, AND the entertainment. Oh, and the drinks are superb. If what's on the sand doesn't "peak" your interest, the drinks will surely help. Quick Tip: If you visit during the sunlight hours, wear sunglasses. Those plastic lenses will go a long way toward preventing after meal arguments. If you visit at dark, no need for the glasses. The view has retired for the evening. read more

Totally average experience with awesome beach access. We spent the afternoon in the beach and enjoyed the ambiance and relaxing sand/water vibe. It's a great place for drinks and books. However, don't expect the waitstaff to answer easy questions about the menu. Clearly they don't know, but can give snarky responses and disappear. I get that they "have to deal with the public," but I can't imagine folks like this being successful in any other industry aside from food service in beautiful Key West. Seriously, SBC management, reconsider your hiring and training program. Your public facing bar staff struggles. read more

The restaurant at the Southernmost Beach Resorts is right near the most Southern point in the USA. Tatsiana our server came over with water. Fish tacos like a good choice. Located on the straits of Florida, you get a nice feeling of serenity and peace even though the crowds are rolling in. It's best to come here between 10-12 noon. Later it gets too frenetic. There are various chickens on the property, so if you're careless with your food, the fowl will gobble it up. read more

While at the beach we decided to grab a quick brunch here and it was pretty good. Again, this is a beachside restaurant- pretty laid back vibe and weren't expecting anything fancy but we ended up very satisfied with our meal. So far I search for the best catch of the day sandwich in Key West has ended here. We have tried local catch sandwiches at least 4 other restaurants, but the snapper sandwich 5/5 here was by far the best tasting. Served with coleslaw, a single butter, lettuce, and tomato, but simply delicious. Coconut shrimp was also cooked perfectly , not too greasy or salty . My daughter loved her grilled cheese sandwich with a big bowl of fruit . Very touristy spot at the end of duval Street near southernmost point , with a view overlooking a beach and pier. There are birds everywhere, but they just looking for food crumbs and don't fly on your table so it doesn't bother me. I can't say the same for Service however, the young gentlemen was very nice and you could tell he was trying very hard. As they say progress over perfection, it's a good balance. We received no silverware and no drink refills even when asked he completely forgot. we had to ask for the check which came out 10 minutes later , then took another 10 minutes to process the payment. I guess you could say he's chilling 100% Key West vibes . Can't blame him too much as my son would probably operate at the same speed if it were his first Restaurant job. Food was great & the biscuits & gravy was definitely enough to share. Only downfall was being greeted by the waitress who spilled a whole cup of hot coffee on us and unfortunately there was absolutely no service recovery. We rode bikes here and popped in to sit at the bar and enjoy a morning Bloody Mary. The view is beautiful and the bar service was fast and friendly. We had a bacon Bloody Mary and a Cucumber Bloody Mary. Both were great with the perfect amount of spice. read more

My husband and I came here for breakfast on our first morning in Key West. I had heard good things about this location and really enjoyed those a spot along the water. We didn't have to wait and we're quickly seated with a nice view. Our server was very attentive however we thought the food was just a little saucy. We ordered the sausage and biscuits and that had a ton of gravy that you couldn't even really fully enjoy the meal as well as the egg Benedict. I don't get any pics of the food we were that hungry! But trust me the food was delicious! The conch soup was so good. Even though it was close to one million degrees outside that soup hit the spot. The service was 10/10. Our server was so attentive even though she had to juggle four tables of at least 6 people at each. Impressive. And to talk about the view. Everywhere is just beautiful. Last Sunday 'lunch'. Honey and I shared a nachos with carnitas. The chips are thick but crunchy, and seasoned with a seasoned salt I really liked. Add cheese sauce, black beans, pico de gallo, pickled onions, avocado and sour cream. Toppings were distributed well over the chips (other than the ones that came on the side, duh!) While staying at this beautiful resort, in the Le Mar, our stay included breakfast here. The views from this restaurant are amazing, as it's right on the beach, facing the ocean! The menu was excellent, as it had many appetizing options! Service was friendly too. That was mostly the positive though as the rest really didn't appeal to us, so we actually left the resort each of the rest of our 5 nights there and paid for breakfast elsewhere rather than enjoy the free meal here. The food was mediocre at best... potatoes resembled being cooked in a large batch way ahead of time and scooped and served on nearly every plate they send out of the kitchen, lacking in flavor and warmth. The breakfast burrito was loaded with so much cheese, I hardly tasted any of the sauce that was supposed to be inside. Coffee was ok, but cooled off very fast as they have large fans everywhere blowing on full speed. I assume it's to help keep the temperature reasonable, but it messes with the food and they're pretty loud to constantly listen to. Like I said, our breakfast was free, which was a great deal! But we never went back after the first morning... definitely wouldn't go back on another stay. read more

Came here to have a nice lunch at the beautiful seaside restaurant! The service did take a little bit long but the staff were great. The food was really good, I had some blackened Mahi Mahi and some rice, which was great, also provided a great view of the ocean with its light blue waters. The only problem was the pigeons, I don't even know how all of them got here but they will jump on your table so be prepared. I would recommend this place for anyone! Quesadillas and tuna in plantain cups were both delicious. The mixed drinks were not good. I ordered a mojito and it was awful. Bartender said that was his favorite. I doubt that. Then our entrees -- steak frites for my bf and the lobster tail for me. The quinoa tasted a bit off (like, almost spoiled?) and I didn't finish it but the Brussels sprouts were delicious.
