This review is for the coffee shop Rufat was amazing. My family... can be quite exhausting in demanding and unclear on what they want. Rufat was extremely patient. 15/10 customer service!!! Now for the drinks: Ice coffee Cafe con leche (Cuban espresso) with almond milk Latte Frozen mocha Tazo tea All the drinks were great and the price extremely reasonable. Location & ambiance is right near beachfront. Gorgeous views with plenty of seats Must try!

What a trip it was getting down to Southernmost, and what a trip Southernmost is! We visited for brunch and the place was almost packed. Fortunately for us, there was a table big enough for our group. That table came with a view and what a view it was! The beautiful ocean lapping on the shore, sun shining, and tourists exposing themselves to the rays. Did I say exposing? Yes I did. Boy did they ever expose themselves. Most of the ladies were scantily clad, their upper torsos capturing the warmth of the sun leaving us diners to ponder. To what end this ponder? Well, I'm sure that my ponder was different than my girlfriends. I'm sure you get my points. Aside from the floor show, the food was very good. Everything was fresh and tasty. The eggs? Well they could have been harvested straight from the chickens that were weaving their way through our feet beneath our table. You know, those chickens will eat anything. They're not even averse to pecking at their scrambled young! Southernmost doesn't want them there. They employ wranglers who try to corral the fricassee and squirt them using water bottles. Herding them onto the beach. Now that's a job I'd like to have. Oopps ma'am, sorry about the overspray. You're going to enjoy the food, AND the entertainment. Oh, and the drinks are superb. If what's on the sand doesn't "peak" your interest, the drinks will surely help. Quick Tip: If you visit during the sunlight hours, wear sunglasses. Those plastic lenses will go a long way toward preventing after meal arguments. If you visit at dark, no need for the glasses. The view has retired for the evening.

If you have ever been the Key West you already know there aren't many true beaches. This place sits on one of them. Great apps, beer and sights to see. We stopped in 2x actually. Once coming in waiting for our Airbnb and once just because we liked it that much! Fast friendly service at the bar then walk out to the water and enjoy the beautiful day! See you Soon!

Casual ambiance on the most southern beach. The service was excellent very pleasant and nice very courteous. The food was excellent got the basic breakfast 2 eggs over easy bacon and wheat toast everything was very good and the Bloody Mary was just as good.

The restaurant at the Southernmost Beach Resorts is right near the most Southern point in the USA. Tatsiana our server came over with water. Fish tacos like a good choice. Located on the straits of Florida, you get a nice feeling of serenity and peace even though the crowds are rolling in. It's best to come here between 10-12 noon. Later it gets too frenetic. There are various chickens on the property, so if you're careless with your food, the fowl will gobble it up.

Another great dinner on our last night in Key West. Great that it's so accessible to the resort. We were seated right away, with a table in front of the windows. Great calamari (huge portion), delicious shrimp Alfredo and Caesar salad. Friendly and attentive waitress. See you next time!

While at the beach we decided to grab a quick brunch here and it was pretty good. Again, this is a beachside restaurant- pretty laid back vibe and weren't expecting anything fancy but we ended up very satisfied with our meal. The drinks were good and my avacado toast trio was on point! Also tried avacado soup (served cold) and that was pretty awesome on a hot day. Service was fine too - again nothing over the top but no complaints.

Cuban sandwich 3/5

So far I search for the best catch of the day sandwich in Key West has ended here. We have tried local catch sandwiches at least 4 other restaurants, but the snapper sandwich 5/5 here was by far the best tasting. Served with coleslaw, a single butter, lettuce, and tomato, but simply delicious. Coconut shrimp was also cooked perfectly , not too greasy or salty . My daughter loved her grilled cheese sandwich with a big bowl of fruit . Very touristy spot at the end of duval Street near southernmost point , with a view overlooking a beach and pier. There are birds everywhere, but they just looking for food crumbs and don't fly on your table so it doesn't bother me. I can't say the same for Service however, the young gentlemen was very nice and you could tell he was trying very hard. As they say progress over perfection, it's a good balance. We received no silverware and no drink refills even when asked he completely forgot. we had to ask for the check which came out 10 minutes later , then took another 10 minutes to process the payment. I guess you could say he's chilling 100% Key West vibes . Can't blame him too much as my son would probably operate at the same speed if it were his first Restaurant job. Hopefully they can get some more help and friendlier service from the front hostess

Food was great & the biscuits & gravy was definitely enough to share. Only downfall was being greeted by the waitress who spilled a whole cup of hot coffee on us and unfortunately there was absolutely no service recovery. Because of the food I would have given 4 stars, but the service took it down to 3 stars

CONCH FRITTERS and Forest Mushrooms
Amelia B.

Must try: cauliflower bites and conch fritters Great menu with something for everyone to order and a great variety on the drink menu. Go for the happy hour too - nice deals and options! Staff were friendly but busy at times in getting back to our table; especially when we tried waving people down for the check. We almost came back again to eat dinner but had to try some other restaurants for the full Key West experience.

We rode bikes here and popped in to sit at the bar and enjoy a morning Bloody Mary. The view is beautiful and the bar service was fast and friendly. We had a bacon Bloody Mary and a Cucumber Bloody Mary. Both were great with the perfect amount of spice.

This is literally what the name says. If you want to eat practically on the water this is the spot. The food is good for the price you pay and the portions are filling. The place is amazing as it has the beach as its backyard. You are at that point less than 100 miles from Cuba. The music and theme of environment truly brings aspects of nostalgia. I enjoyed the experience with such amazing staff providing a clean environment.

Fish tacos

Food was good and the staff were very attentive. But the odor from the seaweed is terrible. It is very overwhelming.

Southernmost Beach Cafe Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Southernmost Beach Cafe

Is there parking available?

Street parking is available but like most places in KW, private parking just for this establishment is not an option.

What time do they serve breakfast till?

They stop serving breakfast at 11:00am.

How expensive are lunch prices?

Decently priced! I had the tempura battered chicken strips, and my husband had steak and eggs. It was to die for. No seriously, he got food poisoning from the eggs 😣 my chicken was great though! And the margaritas were the best on the island!

Does Southernmost have a happy hour? And what time?

Yes. Just stop by and check out their daily specials.

Are they dog friendly?

Yes! While I was there some guests next to us had a small dog!

Are small (5lbs) dogs allowed?

DOGS ARE DEFINITELY NOT ALLOWED AT THIS RESTAURANT. I showed up for breakfast with my sidekick animal. I was told I had to leave that they could not accommodate me because of the dog. So if you have a dog with you don't go

And it's not only the drink menu with its custom crafted cocktails, wines, beers & ciders that will wow you but the accompanying snacks and bites are just as divine. And bonus, it's not only a bar, but also a liquor store with an awesome selection of wines and spirits. This bar definitely has a locals vibe. It's small , dark and cozy and the small tables with velvet chairs are very welcoming. We loved it so much. We came back for a second night. We tried the Maria Rita, which was a reposado tequila with fresh lemon, lime, hibiscus, and habanero, perfect version of a margarita. We also tried blowing smoke up your glass, this was made with Papa Pilar, dark rum, pineapple, fresh lime, house made basil syrup & tiki bitters. Absolutely fabulous. We also tried their deviled eggs each topped with unique toppings like trout row, bacon, and scallions. They were absolutely fabulous. They also have a great selection of charcuterie, Key nuts which you can order with different flavor, profiles, caviar, olives & peppers. Also, the most generous happy hour I've ever heard of from 12 to 6 PM every day. Don't miss out on this little jewel when in Key West.

There is a small bar with about 12 stools, a small lounge area with about 4 small seating nooks, and then a high top bench area that is along the wall. Service and set up of this place is not conducive to being able to attend to patrons. Could only order food if you were seated at the bar. We sat at the high tops and you had to go to the bar to get your drinks. Problem is that the bar has patrons sitting as well so you are hovering over them waiting for a drink. It was very uncomfortable to impose upon others to try to get a drink. I am sure they didn't appreciate the audience as they were eating as well. The bartenders were way too busy and overwhelmed. Not only are they serving the seated patrons and the 4 small nooks, they are also making drinks for the attached restaurant. There were a gazillion tickets coming out of the printer and servers standing on the other side of the window waiting. It's just not possible to serve everyone with just two bartenders. We waited about 10 minutes for service. The drinks were underwhelming for a speakeasy. Just your typical menu. What we ordered was okay. They just missed a great opportunity to create unique twists on classics or to have craft cocktails. Even the classics (which are perfect for a speakeasy) weren't that great. For a speakeasy, the drinks are the main event. Glad we tried it as we always seek out speakeasies. Wouldn't go again.
