I really loved this place. I called to try and get a last minute appointment and they were so kind and willing to get me in later in the day. When I got there they even offered me coffee and took my jacket for me! I came in with some pictures of what I was thinking and Alice was SO kind and talked with me about what it was that I wanted and how to make it look best on me. She gave me an amazing balayage (even on my very damaged and previously dyed hair.) I left so so haply and I'll definitely be scheduling with her again! I have tried to get an extension consultation 4 different times. The first two were canceled on me and when I finally get an appointment I get moved to someone who doesn't even do extensions. I rescheduled to have my consultation with the owner this time. I show up and literally sat there no one asked anything just someone will be with you. The hair dressers continue to work and ignore me and after sitting there for 15 minutes which was passed my appointment, I just walked out. This Salon has poor customer service and lack of respect for individuals time. read more

My experience at Jaazz a few weeks ago was my first appointment there and as Andrea described it, it was a first date - she was going to go slow and we're going to know each other. Everyone at the salon was incredibly friendly. My stylist was very professional and seemed eager to fix her mistakes. I have natural red hair and came in with 4 inches of regrow with a semi permanent copper color on my ends. I was interested in going back to my natural color, with light balayage in Carmel tones around my face and on the ends. Attempt one: all of my red hair was covered up, I had brown roots and everything else was a various shade of blonde. When I mentioned my concern, she spent three additional house past my appointment to try to fix it. I was very appreciative of this, and several other stylist in the salon offered to help. Attempt two: was a significant improvement but was not natural, was nothing like what I asked and left me with what I refer to as pink lemonade hair. Although it doesn't look damaged it feels very dried from all the bleach. She apologized and offered to come in on her day off to fix it. As the assistants finished up my hair they offered to curl it and complimented the color. When I left I didn't reschedule with the same stylist.I'm waiting until Tuesday to talk to the managers about how to fix my hair before my job interview in 5 days :(.I'll update my review then. I wish my stylist the best, she handled the situation very professionally, at the end of the day accidents happen. Update: I saw a new stylist who did an excellent job, and who explained to blend the roots and remove the pink we would have to go dark. While I didn't get what I came for ultimately I am happy and she did a great job. The salon was very welcoming with me coming in a second time. read more

I'm pretty pumped about my recent color experience at Jaazz Salon. I started out with a consultation because I really wanted to explore what a dramatic color change would do to my hair. The consultation was easy to book and they worked me in for an evening time. I sat with my potential stylist and we discussed options...would pink or purple be possible? How much hair should be involved? Would that require taking out my regular color or could it layer on top, etc. I felt really educated and inspired about my next step. So I made appointments for everything. One appointment to pull out the color, and other to put fun color back in. Anyways, after I slept on this idea and debated it for a bit I decided to do a more minor change first. So, Jaazz was really amazing about rescheduling me for a different time. Zero issues! Then, I had my actual color appointment to do the simpler color work that I'd decided on (going for more dimension through the front of my hair vs. overall color change). The staff was really welcoming and hooked me up with coffee when I came in. I just love that when you have a Saturday morning appointment! The space at Jaazz is really lovely (downtown Spokane across from Auntie's Bookstore), and I enjoyed being there. Ambiance aside, my stylist was awesome at the consultation process again, this time for choosing the very exact color. It was so fun! She brought me five choices, and we worked our way down to the best one. I felt really good about it and educated on the differences between gold, copper, etc. It turned out just as I'd hoped and exactly as we had discussed. I've had so many times in the past with other places where the color comes out too brassy or too subtle. This time- it was perfect. Cheers Jaazz! I had a wonderful time at this salon yet again. I have gone to individual hair dressers who are amazing, yet this place can get you in faster, and are just as professional. Christina was very friendly and made my experience very positive. I came in having an idea of what I wanted, and she helped narrow it down into what all she thought would also fit my skin tone and my style. I also really appreciate how much time she took with me. I've been coming here for years to get my hair cut/dyed and have loved my results with each visit. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for! The great thing about Jaazz is that they they genuinely want you to love your hair. If you aren't happy with your results, tell them! They are accomodating and will schedule you for an appointment to come back in to get your hair to what you desire; however, you must tell them within two weeks of your initial appointment for it to be free. All of the stylists here are educated and constantly learning with weekly classes. It's reassuring to know that they are always up-to-date with any new trends/skills/techniques. You can't go wrong with any of the stylists, but I highly recommend seeing Anthony! I've been seeing him since I first started going to Jaazz and he is a genius. The only real downside to this place are the prices, but I don't think I could ever convince myself to try another place out. Every experience is great at Jaazz! Great haircuts! Great massages! There are even great conversations about hunting for mushrooms, CBD and arthritis, and of course Cleveland's geodesic dome! I can honestly say that despite Sonna's A-list celebrity status, having to do most of her traveling in the dark of night (to avoid paparazzi and hair groupies) Sonna is very down to earth, interesting to talk with, and an exceptional stylist who made my balding head look as if it had grown new hair! Jaazz is, in my opinion, Spokane's best and premier salon. All of the stylists are talented, and the massages are exactly what we all need to relieve tension and stress. Thank you Andrea! The truth is, in this area, if you're a man, it's extremely hard to find a talented stylist who is skilled (light-years) beyond the barber/barbarette's electric razor military flattop or the walking circumcision. You know what I'm talking about... buzzed on the sides hairy on the top! The 'bell-end' haircut. The haircut that replaced the 80's mullet, and let's be honest, the walking circumcision is just another style of mullet. Alicia is wonderful! I recently had my color done in another city and was not pleased with how the blonde faded, it was warm and had brassy tones. My boyfriend gets his hair cut by Alicia and he recommended I book an appointment with her. Also worth noting, his cuts always look great, too! Got my hair cut today by Tenaya and was super happy with how it turned out. Had almost 10" cut off, transitioning from super long to collarbone length and I loved it! She was super detail oriented and took her time to make sure she was giving me the cut I wanted. I appreciated the thoughtfulness! Would definitely recommend to all! I scheduled a haircut appointment for 2 pm, and I arrived a couple of minutes before. The lady that opened the door seemed nice but a little annoyed. I asked her for a glass of water, sat down, and waited. I waited for 15 minutes until the stylist that was working on my hair had approached me saying that she needed five to ten more minutes to clean up. As it turned out, she wasn't even done with her other client and I ended up waiting another 15 minutes. During that 30-minute waiting period, there was a different stylist that approached me and started talking about the weather. I guess she was trying to be nice and make the time go by? When my stylist was finally ready for me I showed her a photo and articulated how I wanted my hair cut. I had explained to her that I had already washed my hair and she could just wet it down and not wash it (again). Also, this has never been an issue in the past. Instead, she washed my hair anyway. My scalp is very sensitive to many products out there and I don't like the smell of a lot of hair care products because they tend to add too much fragrance and chemicals. Hence why I washed my hair before my appointment. During the entire appointment, she interrupted me when I would try to explain what I wanted or if I wanted to see the back of my head to see how the cut looked. Because she was late to my appointment she took ten dollars off the total, which is nice but not the point. I'm here to say that it's beyond rude and disrespectful to not listen to your customers who are paying YOU to cut THEIR hair. It is your JOB to listen! And next time, be more mindful of how much time you are spending with each client. It shouldn't have taken over an hour just to get a haircut. Do better! read more

I'll admit I have super high standards for my hair and I am willing to pay big bucks to achieve it. That being said to me Jaazz is worth every penny. I started going here about 6 years ago, and it began when I saw an ad in the local Inlander promoting a new hairstylist for a $25 haircut. Immediately, I booked an appointment and I still currently see the same hairstylist. I have had countless dye jobs and haircuts everything from super blonde, ombré, and all over dark brown. My hair is naturally almost black, thick, and coarse and I have never had yellow/brass from the blonde, which I have seen others have with hair like mine. Also, if you aren't 100% satisfied with your hair just call and book a re-do appointment and they'll be happy to fix it. Don't feel bad or embarrassed about doing this because they would rather give you what you want then have you be discontent with your hair. I personally would recommend to book an appointment with Anthony. He understands what will look good on your and is a phenomenal colorist. I honestly can't see myself going anywhere else to get my hair done. read more
