At first, I was a bit nervous, but Kayla took a cautious approach and trimmed it gradually. She'd take a couple inches off and asked how I felt, until we reached the desired length. I loved the results! The way she layered it is beautiful and makes it really easy to style. Then, it was time to fix the patchy multicolor mess that resulted from too many at-home coloring sessions due to COVID. He is genuinely a nice guy and has such creativity. The South Hill location was closer for me, but I'll drive the distance to have Grant cut my hair, for sure! Myra offered to fix it and I initially rescheduled with her, but after thinking about it, I texted her and asked her to be $100 percent honest if she thought she could fix it and she never responded. I ended up scheduling for a color correction at a different salon because I can't trust this girl. I left a message on the Salon retro site to Kathy (I believe she's the owner) and got no response, so I called the Salon and Kathy answered. She said "Myra said you loved your hair when she was done" and I told Kathy, Myra didn't style it out. In fact, after thinking about it, I think she did that on purpose because she knew it was a sloppy job and she was ripping me off, but she told me the reason she wasn't styling it out was because she already did a lot to my hair and didn't want to overdo it. I should have known right then and there she was full of s#$t, because I have never been to a Salon and paid that kind of money and left without dry, styled hair. If you took the time to read all this, please take my advice and don't risk going to this place. What a waste of time and money. In response to Kathy's comment: ummm... yeah... I would not recommend this salon and will not be returning…read more I spent over $5,000 on laser hair removal treatments, and unfortunately, I saw no improvement whatsoever. In fact, my results were the complete opposite of what I was promised. Instead of reducing my hair growth, it seemed to stimulate it. The hair grew back thicker, coarser, and in some areas even appeared to grow in doubles. When I expressed my concerns, I was repeatedly told that I simply needed more treatments. After investing thousands of dollars with no results, that explanation was incredibly disappointing. At some point, there should be honest conversations about whether the treatment is actually working instead of continuing to recommend additional sessions. Beyond my experience with the laser treatments, I also felt the overall quality of the salon fell short of the image it tries to present. The level of professionalism, service, and expertise did not meet my expectations. If you're considering medical aesthetic treatments, I personally had a much better experience at Crafted Beauty. Their staff has been far more knowledgeable, professional, and attentive, and the overall atmosphere reflects a much higher standard of care. This was an expensive lesson, and I hope my experience helps others make an informed decision before investing their money.
