A…read moresolid place for bingsu, but I cannot give this place any higher than 3 stars due to the price, quality, and service. I came around 6:50PM on a Saturday and there was a small line for the order kiosk. After I ordered, there were a limited number of seats since people tend to hangout in friend groups and treat it as their 3rd space, so be prepared to fight for a table if you're coming during peak times. I sat down and realized they were a whole 10+ orders behind, meaning I waited at least 25mins before getting my bingsu! I ordered a honeydew yogurt bingsu and it was $20. Inflation may be a little crazy, but this was a little above what I was expecting. It came with about 1/2's worth of honeydew. The bowl was not topped with bingsu, and I felt like there are more melons than bingsu (not ok). There were some sweet cheese pieces inside (yummy), some unsweetened frozen yogurt, and the rest was yogurt flavored bingsu. Although healthy, the bingsu itself was NOT sweet enough and I felt sick after eating so much unsweetened yogurt. I wish they gave us a cup of condensed milk like they do at every other bingsu place... Service was slow and everything is self serve, from getting your bingsu at the front to bussing your tray. I do believe there are other bingsu spots in Bay Area that give a similar experience with more variety and better pricing. I do not look forward to waiting almost 30min after spending $20 for a bingsu that's only half bingsu with honeydew layered on top.

I chose to do a DIY regular taco with s'mores ice cream, peanut butter dip, and oreo toppings. The flavors mixed so well together! None of it was overpowering the other, so you're able to enjoy each bite and not feel overloaded by the end. They freeze dry the taco as well so it doesn't melt right away once it hits your hands. This is the perfect place to grab a sweet treat on any occasion! BIG heads up though, it can get extremely busy especially on a weekend (was here on a Sunday evening). I think we went on a day where they might've been short a few people, but we did wait over an hour for our order. From my observations there is a process for the tacos. They have to mold the ice cream in, then keep it in the freezer for a few minutes for it to hold its shape, and customize it after. If you're willing to wait that long for ice cream then I'd say this place is definitely worth it.

They have popular mixed creations for the indecisive guests and they have the make your own taco. I normally order one of the recommended creation, and they're normally pretty good. It does take a while for them to make your ice cream taco, so keep this in mind. Lots of families go here as an afternoon/nighttime treat! If you prefer a different type of ice cream dessert, Rocko's is a great place to go.

We checked in and were seated right away, and the setup was absolutely beautiful! They brought out our tea first, which we enjoyed while waiting for the pastry tower to arrive. Once it came out, they told us to eat from top to bottom, so that's exactly what we did! Each bite was delicious, everything tasted freshly baked and made, and I especially loved that the pastries weren't overly sweet. Although we enjoyed eating the tower from top to bottom, next time we would probably go from bottom to top since we like to save our sweets for last! Of course, we couldn't leave without getting more pastries to bring home. They have plenty of classic pastries, like croissants, along with more unique specialties, like their croissant cube. Everything looked and tasted so fresh, with that perfect flaky, crackly texture. The pastries are a little pricey for bakery items, but in my opinion, they're definitely worth it for the quality and freshness. Overall, we had such a lovely time celebrating my grandma's birthday here and would definitely come back for more pastries!

Crepe cake cafe with well made desserts…read more Situated right next to a huge parking lot, I came here with a friend for some cake and to pass the time before a dinner reservation. Interior is very neutral/beige with the pops of color coming from some plants scattered inside the space. There's WiFi available and for 6pm on a Saturday, it was empty. We ordered two cakes: pandan raspberry and a tiramisu. Both were really well layered but it tasted like the tiramisu had far more cake layers than the pandan raspberry. The pandan raspberry was more raspberry with minimal pandan flavor. The tiramisu tasted just like its name and was great! Both were very lightly sweet cakes, and it was surprisingly easy for my friend and I to devour two slices and still feel ready for dinner later. I wouldn't get the pandan raspberry again, but would be willing to try other slices with how the tiramisu was. The downside is the cakes are pricey. And it feels the interior can't decide if it's trying to be minimal on purpose, or the furnishings were meant for a smaller space/grab-and-go only spot originally but then they moved to a larger location with seating. Good cakes, I would consider swinging by here to pick up a slice for a special occasion.

We got half a dozen of nearly all the flavors and they did not disappoint. Ube, black sesame, cookies n cream, matcha, glazed, and dark chocolate (tasted more like milk chocolate though). Soft, chewy, warm, and the glaze was the perfect amount of sweetness for the Asian palate, which is to say: NOT TOO SWEET; the highest compliment, of course. They also have poke here, which I may try next time. And while you're waiting for the glaze dipper to do their magic, there is a fun 10-second buzzer game to try your luck for a freebie mochi!!! We did not win. 9.84 seconds was our best attempt. :( but our mochi cheered us up :)

While there wasn't an option to customize the poke bowl with additional toppings like some other poke places offer, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of salmon. The fish was fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the bowl. To finish off the meal, I had the Churro Mochi Donut, and it did not disappoint. It had a crispy exterior with a soft, chewy mochi center, coated with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. It was the perfect sweet treat after the savory poke bowl. Overall, the meal was satisfying, the portions were generous, and I would happily order from MoDo Hawaii again whenever I'm craving fresh poke and a delicious dessert.
