This place is good and cheap. Really busy spot. Worth the wait. Will definitely be coming back. Not for the squeamish.

When we were finally seated we had a great waitress who shared her recommendations. We landed on the Eggs Benedict and the $19 BUTTERSCOTCH APPLE FRENCH TOAST, which is baked cinnamon & vanilla custard-soaked brioche, butterscotch apples; topped with brown butter oat streusel & Philly whip. Unbelievable. The place was loud and popping on a Sunday around noon. Not intimate, but a fun post-church gathering of hungry souls. Haddonfield itself is a cute little town with what appeared to be a lot of cute dining spots. We will definitely make this our pit stop on future NY - DC sojourns!

The space is clean, modern, and welcoming, and the staff was genuinely pleasant from the start. Julian, our server, greeted us promptly, got coffee on the table quickly, and kept everything moving smoothly. In addition to standard coffee, they offer craft espresso-bar style drinks, which is a nice touch whether you are there for breakfast or brunch. The restaurant also has outdoor seating, not ideal in December, but it would be great in warmer weather for people-watching along Haddonfield's main street. The menu has plenty of options, and I went with the fennel sausage frittata with roasted potatoes and bacon. It was hearty and well executed, the bacon was crisp, the potatoes were crunchy, and the portion was generous enough that I could not finish it. My wife ordered the green goddess roll, which she really enjoyed, though her potatoes came out cold while mine were hot, the only real miss of the visit. We also shared a bowl of lentil soup, which was perfect for a cool day and a nice surprise on a brunch menu. This spot works well for weekdays or weekends, breakfast or brunch, and it does get busy, so reservations are a good idea or be prepared to wait with a coffee. Pricing felt very reasonable for the area, and overall it was a good stop we would happily return to.

Upon arrival, I learned that the Patchwork Restaurant & Bar is where the happy hour specials, dinner options, and in the morning, breakfast takes place. I enjoyed the food and service during my visit for breakfast before heading back to the airport the next day. The Patchwork Philly has a restaurant, a bar, and a market. The restaurant includes breakfast, brunch, dinner, bar-cocktail, happy hour, and dessert. The happy hour menu is only valid at the bar. Reservations can be made on OpenTable. Breakfast is served until 10:30 AM. They serve omelettes (Denver, Egg White, and Patchwork omelets), sweets (yoghurt parfait, ricotta pancakes, and steelcut oatmeal), savory dishes (Italian-inspired breakfast plate, eggs benedio, croissant sandwich), drinks, sides, and the breakfast buffet with chef's daily selections including coffee and tea. The buffet was great! It included fruits (dried and fresh), breads, meats, eggs, and so much more. And even better, for those with Hyatt Globalist status, you get a free breakfast at Patchwork Philly! You can learn more about Patchwork Philly at https://patchworkphilly.com including menus, reservations, events & private dining, information about the chef, a photo gallery, and social media links. They are open for breakfast on weekdays from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Brunch is on the weekends from 7 AM to 12 Noon. Dinner is Sunday through Thursday from 5 PM to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 10 PM. The bar is open on Sunday through Thursday from 4 PM to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday from 4 PM to 11 PM. Happy hour is weekdays from 4 PM to 6 PM and includes discounted dishes from parmesan fries, arancini, shrimp cocktail, and a burger and beer vibe combo. Bar snacks include olives, spiced nuts, popcorn duo, and onion dip. I'd assume there are happy hour drink specials, too. The quick service and tasty food made Patchwork Philly a great food option at the Hyatt Centric, and if I stay there again, I'll jump at eating again at Patchwork Philly!

There are many tables, making it good for groups, but the interior is pretty bare. The wall is adorned with whimsical fox and chicken imagery, referencing the Hatch and Coop name. As of 05/2025, they supposedly offer 10% off your order by showing your SEPTA card. But, I'd confirm this offer before ordering to ensure it's honored. When I was there in the early morning, the cook (who also takes orders) didn't recognize the deal and didn't know how to punch it in. So, it was a bit of a letdown we couldn't redeem the deal, but we still wanted to try the sandwiches after hearing great things about them. I ordered The Hatch and Coop Sandwich (egg, cheese, chicken) on a round roll at the kiosk. You can customize your bread, egg (fried or scrambled), and cheese (provolone, american, or cheddar). The sandwiches come without any sauce unless you order sauce (extra $$) on the side. I highly recommend the Hatch Sauce- a typical mayo sauce with a little spice. I found The Hatch and Coop Sandwich to be just pretty good but I wish it had more heft to it. The chicken was juicy and well cooked, but I wish there was more. The cheese did the cheesing and coated the chicken, but the sandwich had far too many onions for my liking. With the Hatch Sauce, I felt the sandwich was tied together but it was a little odd to me the sandwich doesn't have sauce on its own. I'm giving Hatch and Coop the benefit of the doubt since it was so early in the morning, but I found my sandwich to be just OK. However, I will be back to try the fried chicken sandwiches, which I've heard rave reviews for.

Our waitress seemed a bit flustered, but still very friendly and attentive. We ordered quickly and our food came out really fast. I got an omelette with salad greens. Everything seemed fresh and flavorful. I had zero issues with my food. One of my kids got the French toast with bacon and fruit and the other got a grilled cheese with fruit. Both kids liked the main meal but the fruit was on its way out. Lots of brown and squishy spots. Normally my kids could eat a pound of fruit each, but they both passed on it. My wife got a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. She really wanted fries, but they had none. What breakfast restaurant doesn't have French fries? We thought that was pretty strange. She said the sandwich was fine, but nothing spectacular. My parents shared eggs and potatoes and a pot of decaf. The potato consensus across the table was that they were not good. Too salty and not crispy enough. This was especially upsetting because of the lack of fries. Oh well. They also hated the coffee, but my parents only usually like McDonald's coffee. Boomers. What are you going to do. Everyone agreed we would not be back here, but for me, with the parking lot and satisfied kids, I wasn't too sad about the meal.

The server was very helpful with picking items off the menu and all of his selections seemed to have been good. I liked mine but I probably won't get the waffle again but not because it wasn't good but I used to love waffles but I've moved on to french toast. That beet juice was interesting but tasted very healthy which doesn't mean it didn't taste good. It just wasn't sweet but it was good and it felt like it did something good for my system. We sat right outside of the kitchen so we did get to see all of the plates come out which is what I like to do so I can get inspired if I need some help finding something to eat but the server took care of that for us. I've been to another since and although the service and food was good, this guy was better.

The bartender is juggling multiple roles (bartender, waiter, and hostess), so service was understandably very slow. I hope this place makes the necessary changes, so it too can thrive. I take this foodie life seriously and with that, I take reviewing seriously so here goes. Firstly, I was very excited to come here. Having a new brunch restaurant that's minority owned was a dope thing to see. When I looked at their website and saw that they had a breakfast happy hour I lost it! I love when food is affordable. However this excitement was killed by the actual experience. Secondly, interior decor of the place left me feeling confused. It felt showy yet unfinished and unrefined. All in all it was lacking cohesivness. The music was great by the way but it was too loud for breakfast. People just wake up before having breakfast, loud music that early is just uncomfortable no matter how good the song. Thirdly, the service seemed to follow the lead of the interior decor. Overall unrefined. We were asked if we wanted metal or plastic utensils. I've never been asked that while dining in at a brunch restaurant. I feel like if your going to advertise a quality dining experience then that question shouldn't be asked. Quality should be the assumption. Our waitress wasn't as attentive and seemed unsure of herself. The food was the most disappointing part. We ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was INCREDIBLY dry. I'm not one to ever waste food and I always clean my plate. I had to pack this up and give it away to a homeless man. For me to not finish my first meal of the day is unheard of. The waffle had no flavor and it was accompanied with pink syrup. That syrup felt and tasted like sugar slime with food coloring. I felt that this place was more concerned with appearances rather than good quality and a good restaurant experience. I hope these comments aren't taken personally, and inspire much needed change for all I want is for them to succeed.
