I stopped by this local coffee shop while visiting my daughter and her fiancé during the holidays and instantly loved the vibe. It is dog friendly, there is plenty of seating, and the staff are so welcoming. Seeing how warmly they treated everyone and noticing how many regulars there were made it clear this place really means something to the community. It made me so happy that my daughter and her fiancé chose to make this town their new home. The seasonal menu was very appealing and fun to explore. We tried the salted caramel apple latte, maple cinnamon latte, and salted biscotti latte, and each one was comforting, well balanced, and delicious. There is also a chalkboard wall where customers can leave messages. I wrote a New Year wish in Tagalog, which made the visit feel even more personal. Revolution opened in Collingswood years ago right as I was leaving town. As such, it has taken me too many years to finally check them out. They had a stand in front of their shop during the Collingswood Craft and Fine Arts Festival, so I took the opportunity to snag one of their nitro cold brews. It was perfectly smooth and reviving. Got two lattes one with oat one almond almond. Both tasted good and nothing to complain. Even got a little art on this one. I am pretty sure that they moved so some of the indoor photos are outdated. There a few tables you can sit down at but nothing as big as it used to be it seems. read more

First time here and kindly asked the barista if they have any peanut allergens in the coffee shop. We were met with short answers and hostility. We also asked if they had any fun seasonal drinks and the barista shrugged and seemed to care less and we felt like we were a bother coming in. We tried to add an extra shot to the latte we got because we were told it had 2 shots in it and he said So you want 4 shots? Communication was lacking and we will not be returning in the foreseeable future. Working in retail during the holidays is stressful but there's no need to go out of your way to make your customers feel uncomfortable. If you're looking for a great cute coffee shop, this is the place to go! I go here every time i'm in the area and im obsessed. The service is always super welcoming and my coffee is always made right. My boyfriend loves the blueberry tart. He gets it whenever it is available and says its the best he's ever had. Friendly, fast service. Plenty of metered parking right out front (I was there 9:30AM on a Thursday). I had a latte and it was wonderful. I'd also put their croissants up there with some of the better ones I've had. I had a plain croissant but they also had chocolate and almond. I noticed some other pastries with fruit and they all looked delicious. There are plenty of tables and chairs to sit and relax. I was able to catch up with a friend and chat for over an hour without any noise. This would be a great spot to do some computer work and there are some spots where you could be away from most people coming and going if you were on a Zoom meeting and had to speak. After finishing up a bike ride on a warm August Sunday we headed over to Pie Lady only to find Ms. Pie closed for vacation. We decided to go with a Plan B and drove over to another former Quaker town, Colingswood, and Revolution Coffee Roasters. Revolution has been on my radar for sometime now but I have always missed out getting to try their coffee with their cafe hours. For example, they close at 2:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Fortunately, we were early enough today to get to Revolution with time to spare. Revolution is a just off Haddon Ave on the eastern side of Collingswood. It is located on the side street of Fern Ave. Revolution is in a funky old building and it very cool inside. There is a coffee bar for ordering and some really nice seating for chatting, working or just hanging out. There is not a giant coffee menu but all the basics, which I like. I went with an iced Mocha as it was a hot day. The Mocha had a strong coffee and freshly roasted taste and just the right amount of Mocha. It was a really good coffee drink. My friend equally enjoyed her selection. I will definitely be back and I am very happy to have something like Revolution on this side of the river. Disappointed. Came on the recommendation of a friend because I love a good pour over coffee. I walked in and was excited to see all of the different coffees they had. That excitement didn't last long. I asked the barista what pour over she would recommend. Her response, "oh we can't do pour over, we're closing soon and it would take 10 minutes to make a pour over coffee." I'm sorry... if you use a kettle, it doesn't take 10 minutes to heat up water (the barista admitted to my friend when I was in the bathroom that she just didn't want to get the kettle out). You were trying to clean up and get done with work and didn't want to be inconvenienced to actually provide good customer service. I ended up getting a flat white, which she maybe took 30 seconds to make... it was ok. Nothing i'm going to rave about. Disappointed. The food is limited, but good. I had one of the baked goods, an almond croissant, and it was one of the better ones I've had. The coffee and matcha were also good, The service was also friendly. As previously mentioned, they don't have a huge selection of food. However, one of the guys at the counter informed me that I could get something down the block and bring it back. This let me know they had a really laid back atmosphere. That's what you want in a coffeeshop...at least what I want. The shop also has a nice atmosphere, conducive to studying or working on your computer. There is usually nice music playing. Okay, so why one 4 stars and not 5? Well, this is just a preference thing. What might be a plus for some was a minus for me. I just prefer to go to places where food is served where pets aren't allowed. Also, if the servers are petting the dogs or animals, my mind runs to how sanitary is the place. I'm sure things are fine, but two dogs were in that started shaking themselves oof as dogs do. I guess I just wonder where do all of those little hairs that fly off, especially if it's a shedding kind of dog. Like I said, this is a preference thing. To be fair, I've only seen pets there the one time. Wow. I want to start off saying I am a black girl who Lovessses coffee . Recently moved from west palm beach to collingswood and was in search of a new coffee spot. I had a really uncomfortable experience at this place. First off , I walk in and the hostess just stares at me. I had to say hello/how are you to even have some sort of engagement . Literally , the girl never said what would you like or anything (not a word). After a few seconds of awkwardness I ordered a macchiato. She stated it's only 4 ozs and asked did I want a latte. I asked to see the cup size and told her that was okay. When I got my drink the 4 oz cup was halfway filled so I asked for some more foam . The guy who made my drink replied "do I know what a macchiato is" . I said yes and then he continues with "that's what we were trying to tell you" . I told him never mind I just want a refund due to the aggression and His reply was ok. I told him I don't like the service or product and would like my money back he replied "OK" . Not my apologies is there anything we can do ...Nothing lol . I'm gonna keep this short. It's a tiny, local, coffee shop. I asked the woman if they had any sf (yes, chemicals, leave me alone) syrups to add to lattes, and she pointed me towards the "blue packets" on the side table. Oh, okay, so no. My almond milk latte was fine, hotter than it normally comes out (this is a good thing). They don't offer much besides locally made pastries, so don't expect to calm your munchies here. The shop is small, and I prefer a more open space when I'm trying to work, but there is a cute stair case that leads to a smaller upstairs area which I didn't venture to explore. There are quite a few coffee shops in the area, however, so I'm not in a rush to try this spot again. read more

Collingswood itself is worth spending a few hours there. It is a beautiful town and this coffee shop fits the area. It is beautiful inside. It is very clean, there is plenty of seating, and the staff is always nice. The price is pretty much the same a good coffee shop runs you; not cheap but not crazy. In the short few years since Revolution opened, it's become one of the most beloved spots in downtown Collingswood, something that's even truer now that they opened up more space for tables and let more natural light permeate their cafe. Once outfitted with a menu of amazing pastry items and baked goods from Constellation Collective (who have since moved to their own must-visit space last year on Haddon Ave), they now have a wide array of delicious breakfast and brunch sandwiches, plates, and bowls from The Square Meal. Their coffee, responsibly grown and then roasted a few hundred feet away in The Factory, the makerspace building in which they are located, is as good as ever. They make the kind of coffee you don't need to add anything to. You can get it drip or pour over, hot or iced, or in the form of one the best cold brews I've ever had. Even their decaffeinated coffee tastes great. What I love about these guys is that they're always tinkering and innovating with both their coffees and their space. I've seen it go from a barebones cafe to a warm, inviting space to hang out, catch up with friends, get work done, and just enjoy some great food and drinks. This place is amazing :) I grew up in westmont and never knew about revolution until recently. The cold brew ice coffee is amazing. The rumors are true, you can get a growler of iced coffee to go. Free ice coffee refills while you hang at the shop and every sixth cup free with the customer loyalty card. I saw some past reviews mention that they did not have espresso, they have espresso now, and it is delicious. The vibe in here is super chill. There is always really nice classic rock or "coffee house " music playing. The staff is really friendly and the service is fast but never rushed. I loved this cozy coffee shop off of Haddon Ave in Collingswood! Revolution is so close to where I used to live before I made the transition to full-time city girl. Being in Collingswood and checking out this awesome, new-ish business really gave me some nostalgia! The coffee was great and there was a small selection of sandwiches on the blackboard. Unfortunately, they were out of sandwiches on the Friday I visited, so I stuck with just the coffee. I made my way up the spiral staircase to grab an open table. There is office space located upstairs and the one table is located right by the door to an office. If you want to sit at this table without being in the way, you'd have to sit facing the wall, which is pretty awkward. Next time I'll try a little harder to find a spot downstairs. My sister lives in Collingswood now and I may have scooped her on this coffee shop. I'm sure I'll be back with her sometime in the future! read more
