Great coffee and pastries with better staff and vibe. Large, relaxed and welcoming place to work and meet.

Ambiance is very nice .. such a cute and quirky cafe ! The staff and owner were so welcoming and sweet! They made my matcha exactly how I liked it! And gave me a bit of Pico de Gallo to put on top of my grilled cheese sandwich ! Great experience! Can't wait to come visit again!

My husband and I were staying at the Hilton by the water. Our plan was to have coffee over the bridge in PA. But for some reason Nuanced Cafe caught my eye and I convinced my husband to make a quick stop. Nuanced Cafe is a neighborhood spot. Locals walked in and out while I waited for my coffee. The owner (also the barista) was easy to chat with and she told me a little about the cafe shop while she prepared drinks. She said that it was much more than coffee. It's a place for social gatherings and to cultivate creativity. I ordered a cortado. The beans had a unique taste. Now I wish I had asked what the blend was. But she topped the espresso with foam and not steam milk; which doesn't give you the velvety texture that makes a cortado a cortado. However, it was still a delicious drink. The setting, atmosphere and service were excellent.

The best and only place I go gor coffee! The service was great-very inviting owner and baristas. The ambiance is cozy and vintage. I will definitely come again.

the interior of a nuanced cafe - Spacious cafe interior with various tables and chairs, a small display table with a coffee and dessert, and a green and beige wall.

Open for business! I was walking in the neighborhood and thinking I wanted a coffee or tea break. Walked in here and saw a wonderfully cozy and welcoming small business that just opened in these difficult times. The assortment of baked goods looked great. I enjoyed a taste of the chocolate cake. I decided today was tea afternoon after seeing the carefully curated selection of teas. The black tea I picked was manually brewed with a touch of local honey :p Worth a visit!

I had afternoon tea with colleagues, and I ordered a Turkey sandwich, cappuccino and a blueberry muffin. The ingredients for the turkey sandwich are fresh and tasty. After drinking the cappuccino, my lips and teeth are fragrant and have a good aftertaste. Especially the muffin, the taste is so soft and glutinous, and immediately melt in mouth. Highly recommended!

My favorite coffee shop! I've been coming to Nuanced for 3 years since it opened and it's always been a welcoming home away from home. Rosemari (the owner) provides a warm atmosphere to enjoy community with great coffee. I have been introduced to many Camden natives and met many friends here. I love visiting especially on Saturday mornings to relax with a cup of green tea matcha while studying. Recommend for coffee lovers and people seeking a warm welcoming community space and ambiance! I will be a forever customer and friend here.

It's great to have a locally owned and run coffee shop on campus. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the coffee is great, not too acidic, and they have a variety of coffees and teas. Great to have some vegan pastry options as well!

Seating area & checkout area for beverages & snacks - A cafe interior features patterned armchairs, a small table, a counter with staff, and customers near the entrance with large windows.

Green Tea: A typical American green tea flavor, which I think is similar to a cheap matcha flavor. At least for Chinese tastes, its biggest advantage is that it's not too sweet, and the flavor is relatively mild and fragrant. Especially when the shopkeeper seemed to be scooping ice cream away like it was free, I was even more glad I chose this flavor... Sea Salt Caramel: The flavor recommended by the staff. Objectively speaking, it was indeed good, with a distinct caramel aroma, but for me, who had already eaten ice cream that day, it was still too sweet. Coconut: Less sweet than Sea Salt Caramel, but also less milky. Relatively refreshing, but still quite sweet. The server offered samples warmly, which is definitely a plus.

A visit to Franklin Fountain is definitely a splurge -- but it's one of those Philly experiences…read moreyou just can't skip. From the moment you step inside, the specialty shakes and sundaes start calling your name. Everything on the menu sounds over-the-top in the best way possible. We landed on an apple pie shake, a peanut butter shake (PB ice cream, PB sauce, and fudgy brownie chunks), and the Lightning Rod sundae. Each treat was clearly crafted with care. You can tell time and quality go into every detail. I loved that they actually warmed the apple pie and the brownie chunks before blending them in. That extra touch elevated everything. The textures, the flavor balance, it wasn't just thrown together; it was thoughtfully built. Now let's be real: it's pricey. Three treats ran us about $50. But they're generous, rich, and indulgent. I was absolutely stuffed, fully sugared up and ready to power my way up the Rocky Steps afterward. The nostalgic charm is half the fun. From the old-fashioned decor to serving ice cream in those classic Chinese takeout-style containers, the whole place feels like stepping back in time. It adds to the experience in a big way. I personally appreciated that the sundae wasn't drowning in sauce -- it let the ice cream shine. That said, the PB shake was my clear favorite (even if I went way overboard on the brownie chunks). Bottom line: I highly recommend it. Just consider sharing to cut down on the cost and maybe to avoid the inevitable sugar crash. Totally worth it for the experience. Bonus Tip: Bring a receipt to Shane's Confectionary and get a 5% discount on your order (or vice versa).
