He took the vehicle back to have them investigate. They explained to him that the radio was shorting out and was causing the battery to drain. When my father arrived to pick his vehicle up, upon leaving noticed they completely destroyed his dashboard. He immediately turned around and took it back. They claimed his dash was already like that and said they never touched it. This is a complete lie. I know for a fact his dashboard was not tore up like this at all. They completely destroyed the dash when they tested the radio and then claimed they never touched the dash.....you can't test the radio without removing it, you can't even get to the wiring without removing the head unit. I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. Instead of them owning their mistake, they chose to lie and claim it never happened then said they took pictures of the dash when it was dropped off because they knew he would blame them, again another lie. We will be reporting this to the BBB. Taking advantage of people and damaging property then claiming it's not their fault.

I would consider exploring other options…read more Upon having our transmission rebuilt and rear main seal replaced by Gears we had an immediate oil leak from rear main seal (approximately 1 quart every 2 hours). Gears Transmission indicated they were not obligated to warranty rear main seal leak (in which they replaced). After 4 weeks of constant calls, broken promises to remedy, paying for repairs out of my pocket and pursuing legal action for reimbursement I finally received reimbursement for warranty work. To make matters worse, a broken bolt was discovered from seal install, meaning they broke a bolt and attempted to hide during installation. In addition, a loose bolt in transmission bell housing was also found. During transmission repair and warranty claim, Gears was horrible about providing updates; they only called/ returned our calls two times over this 9-week process. Granted, we travelled cross country day after receiving truck with rebuilt transmission and Gears had to use another shop to perform warranty repairs; however we had to take truck to 2 different shops of their choice so they could obtain multiple quotes and we ended up paying for repairs out of pocket after they reneged on paying their bill to vendor of their choice. Only after beginning legal proceedings did I receive reimbursement for main seal replacement.

My nephew recommended Auto Shop based on his Father-in-Law who had work done on his car. I had the car towed in without talking with them since they were closed. Sometimes you just have to roll the dice. I was at the shop at 8:15 Monday morning to talk to Scott and Amber. Scott was more than willing to look at it since he had worked on a Lotus or 2 in the past. Scott's diagnosis was internal tranny issues which was best dealt with by a specialist. While Scott was ultimately not able to repair the car his speedy response and excellent communication allowed me to quickly adjust my plans. He and Amber are a true class act. I felt a level of trust and confidence in them immediately. While breaking down 500 miles from home is not recommended for anyone i can't think of a better situation than to have Scott and Amber be the first mechanics you encounter. Give them a try. I was told that mechanically the car is in good shape. I was told that the heater was working and they didn't see anything wrong. They were clear that it could be a blend door going out on the vehicle, but confirmed that everything worked fine. Thinking I had bought some time I spent $800 dollars on brakes and to fix a window regulator. When I picked up the car, immediately upon starting the car I heard a loud knocking in the dash which stopped quickly but which I had never heard before. When I tried to move from heat to air the knocking occurred again and now I don't get any cold air. They've refused any accountability. I brought my car in for a specific problem, and on a budget of $1000 or less. Because they told me the problem I brought the car in for was fine, I spent the money to fix other issues, and received the car back with the same problem I brought it in for. Now they've quoted me $800 just for the labor to look into the original problem further. This was a lazy misdiagnosis. I understand I made the decision to proceed with other repairs. If I got the car back and the blend door broke a week or month later that's entirely on me. It was returned to me just as broken but I was lead to believe it was fine, which is why the decision was made to spend the money elsewhere. The whole process feels very dishonest or at the very least, they were not thorough in diagnosing the problem from the beginning. Edit: a 5 minute YouTube search on how to run a diagnostic for EATC issues in this vehicle, and error codes 024 and 025 were returned, which are for the blend door. The difference here is in saying you guys you tested it and everything worked, and it "could be" a blend door. Within 10 minutes of getting the vehicle home, I had confirmation that it was in fact the issue which was clearly diagnosed very easily at home. The first conversation was filled with what it could be, when a clear answer was available because the problem was never resolved, and the mechanic I trusted to provide an accurate diagnosis didn't do that correctly. This is why the initial diagnosis was either lazy or dishonest. Saying it works but it could be an issue down the road is one thing, and I'd happily accept all responsibility for that decision to authorize other repairs. For example, they disposed of the wrong tires…read moreon my July 3rd visit and that forced me to buy two new tires when I should have had another two years on wear on my old ones. In addition the service times takes way too long. I had a 12 noon appointment and my vehicle did not even get in the bay until 12:45. All they did was install two tires and do an alignment. That took over three hours. On my July 3rd visit it took six hours for those services. Had to wait an hour on that appointment time to get the vehicle in the bay. For the price I paid for those tires ($1,100 for two) one would think I'd better service. Not likely to ever buy Firestone tires again. High cost and bad service isn't a recipe for a successful business model.

They said they couldn't do a diagnostic because it would take atleast 1.5 hours to do that. So I added Indiana if he could take a look and test drive to see what it could be and give me an advice since I have another 2.5 hours to get to my destination. He went out of his way trying to find the issue and finally found it. One of my tire belt snapped, which made the tire warped and have a bubble. Luckily my tires did not exploded on the road. Russ, Indiana, Tyler stayed after hour to replace my tire so I could be on my way and make it to my destination. I appreciate them so much because they cared about my safety and not about their time to clock out. Thank you so much.
