We had been wanting to redo our front stairs for sometime as they were the original 2 small stairs from the 1960s track homes. So we hired him to do our stairs as well!! Everyday his workers came on time and they worked hard and got the job done. The dirt was removed on the first day and now we can finally utilize our backyard! The stairs were poured and it looks beautiful. I am very happy with the way they turned out. We also added a walking path to our front, so we have more room to exit our vehicle. Gerry suggested that I get about as many estimates as you can, I scheduled five, FIVE!, 'concreteers' to give me an estimate on our project and he would be one of the lowest . So I had six estimates and Gates Concrete WAS the lowest. Cost aside, having watched him and his men bust their ass in the heat (Jul 2017 heat wave)and even with Fourth of July in the middle of our project, they still completed the project within the agreed upon timeline. To Say that my wife and I are happy with his work is an understatement. We are extremely ecstatic with our new side patio. He knows his stuff his men know their stuff. Their workers are polite and professional. They are on the job everyday from start to finish. No skipping days to work elsewhere. They even worked the weekends to meet job schedule. Concrete was placed in our large patio area and color was applied, and a different color concrete and finish with drains were placed around our pool. They even put in an automatic water fill for our pool and fixed a small leak from the pool light. Ryan and his crew did an excellent job! The crew were there every day in a timely manner. Ryan would come over every morning to answer any questions we had and offer suggestions. Ryan was readily available by phone also. Everyone was polite and kept our backyard clean during the construction. They even worked around our 3 dogs - which was a concern for us during the process. We would highly recommend Hoy Construction!
