Would not recommend. I hired Mark to install a new door and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. He initially agreed to install the door and haul away the old door and debris. However, the process was riddled with errors and unmet expectations:
1. Wrong Door Ordered: He took measurements and ordered the door himself, yet somehow ordered the wrong type of door--one with two doorknob holes instead of one.
2. Passing Costs to Me: After the wrong door was ordered, I received receipts from Home Depot for additional materials like a brass plate cover, foam, and liquid nails. These items were presented as my responsibility because of his ordering mistake. Considering I paid $400 for the installation, I expected him to provide necessary supplies without additional charges.
3. Failed Cleanup: Despite initially agreeing to haul away the old door and debris, he left it behind. When I questioned him, he claimed that cleanup wasn't included. This contradicts what was originally discussed and agreed upon.
I would caution anyone considering hiring this installer. He may argue that I ordered the wrong door or misunderstood the agreement, but the facts speak for themselves:
He ordered the door, not me.
Cleanup was discussed upfront and was part of the deal.
Charging a client for materials to fix his mistake is unprofessional.
