Of the companies I inquired with, Vasquez Construction was the only company that went into great detail with exactly what they would do. I found Vasquez Construction on Yelp and called for an estimate to widen my driveway. Mike came out and bid the job $900 less and $1,800 less than the other 2 bids I got. They started on Monday and were finished on Wednesday the same week after pouring 7 yards. Mike and his crew were great! He removed and capped about 10 sprinklers, and relocated a few so that I was still able to water the yard that is left. Michael was awesome. I needed some of my back patio concrete redone to keep water away from the house. From the start he was very responsive and involved in the entire process. We used Vasquez Construction for a parking lot seal and stripe job and Mike went above and beyond in making sure the job was completed with great workman ship and timely. Everything from getting a bid to scheduling the job done in a very professionally and in a timely manner. The only challenge we had was cool weather and no one can control that. They even worked with with us way outside of normal business hours for minimal disruption to our business. Cost - We got several bids and Vasquez Construction was neither the cheapest or most expensive. They were right in the middle. What set Vasquez Construction apart was the professionalism and the understanding of the scope and knowing what needed to happen to get the job done. I inquired at Vasquez Construction for an estimate for a water problem I had at an apartment building. Mike came out to look at the problem and was very knowledgeable with his ideas on how to solve the waterflow problem I was having. He said he would come in and bring in 5 to 7 tons of asphalt to redirect the water away from the building. he was telling me I don't just send my crew I am here with my crew working to make sure that it is done correctly. We needed the asphalt driveway that connects our garage & yard to an alley redone after we changed the angle of a gate & wall on the rear perimeter of our property. My problem was small but complicated. A previous concrete installer had improperly connected their drainage system to the original system, resulting in our back lawn area and back concrete patio being flooded every time it rained hard. I spent nearly a year trying to get the original guy to come back, and finally gave up and looked for someone else. I must have contacted over a dozen people before Mike agreed to come out and look. I thought we would need a small section of concrete removed, the drain repaired, and new concrete laid down. Mike brought his guys out, and started on the lawn side of the drainage problem. He figured out it was an improperly placed and fitted drain, but managed to fix it without removing any concrete! The project came in under estimate (probably because he have to do any actual concrete work), and I am just happy he was willing to come out for such a small job and spent time figuring out how to fix the problem. I joked with him that he was just a very expensive gardener that day--I hope he knows I was joking! I really do appreciate his help, and think what he charged us was very fair. I would always recommend him, he did a great job and didn't try to make the project more expensive than necessary. read more
