Love getting my pedicure done by Monica but I just wish she would put a little bit more elbow grease into the scrubbing of your feet because sometimes you really need a good scrub and same for tue keg massage, she needs to put some umph into it. So scared about hurting someone but when the customer asks you to do it harder, do so and ohh yeah same goes for the callous remover, im not saying make the customer bleed and in pain but dig in, especially for the price they charge for spa pedicure. This has been my home mail salon for about 3 years and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It is definitely hit or miss depending on the mail tech. There are some who know how to do advanced techniques and some who are only good with the basics. I'm not fussy when it comes to my mani/pedi. I typically get a gel manicure and regular pedicure. So the first few times I've gone, they were just OK. Then I went once and the woman who serviced me was pretty bad. The owner, Eddie, insisted that I stick around for another tech to do everything all over again. I'm glad I did. Shelly did my nails and I couldn't have been happier. She's the only woman I go to. On occasion, I will go to Monica. The men in the store seem to be a little more technically sound, so for intricate designs, I would specify one of them when booking an appointment. read more

I have gone to this place at least 6 times and every time I go there seems to be an issue with the service I asked almond shapes nails and have to pull out everything under the kitchen sink to demonstrate what I want. I pulled pictures off of Pinterest and show the tech and then I get something totally different. I ask for a design and the tech proceeded to tell me no she preferred to do a different color because she thought it would look better. Today I get a lavender spa pedicure where they failed to give me the lavender salt. Only after asking where is the sea salt? Then she dropped some of that standard blue salt that comes with a basic pedicure, but by then the pedi was 1/2 way in. I get so pissed every time I come here . I'm done. I called around hoping to find a nail salon that had affordable prices I stumbled upon this spot which had great prices. Sadly I got French tips done here and they were terrible. ( I don't know by who but she sits in the front desk) I made an appointment with Parker and Ivy for my mom and me and when we got to the salon they told me they couldn't attend to us. Very unsanitary no sink in sight to wash your hands. The workers will insist on making you get the spa treatment even when you decline. Overall a terrible experience. DO NOT GO HERE pay the extra money and go somewhere clean, professional with trained workers who are good at what they do. Will never come here again. The lady who did my nail was also complaining the entire time. read more

Did not have a good experience at J Nails. Felt rushed, the manicurist spent no more than a few seconds on each foot during the foot scrub. Pedicure was fine, the gel manicure however was awful. Each of her coats were way too thick for gel. I've had experience before where I commented on how thick the first coat was but the nail techs would usually just imply they know what they're doing so I didn't say anything today as I thought the end result would be fixed. Left there pretty upset with how thick and chunky each nail looked and really surprised at how little attention was made. Also, whole time she was muttering under her breath in another language which was partly why I felt rushed. I do not recommend. read more

This is the only nail salon I will trust ! In my 20 years of getting my nails done they have the best prices and best customer service ! I only go to Parker and ivy they have been doing my nails for years! My nails always turn out fabulous they can do a classic French to any design you find on Pinterest ! And my mails never crack/break or rarely ever chip! Best tip I can give is get gel on your toes they last for a solid 1 month no chips!! Love this place it's a 10/10 read more

I've been going here for years, since it's about 2 minutes from my house. However, I won't be back. The last two times I went, I got powder gel. The first one was ok, it lasted about a week and a half before it started to crack. It thought it might have just been my nails. I went back last week to get another powder gel, and it was terrible. The girl missed parts of the top coat, and it was uneven. The polish started cracking after MAYBE 5 days. Also, they double dip when they wax. Gross. read more

I used to come for years then I stopped because of the rude people. But I came back for a second chance. NOT AGAIN. I came in for a pedicure which was 20 dollars. Cheap but DEFINITELY not worth it. The water was cold and its cold out so I asked if she could warm in and she started to complain to the person next to her. She insisted on me getting the spa pedicure after... I proceeded to say no but she continued. After that she was super rude. She didn't even use a hot towel or message at all. She didn't even use a fresh cuticle cutter from the package she took one out of the drawer. She continued to rush her way through it. She brought me to a seat to dry which had a broken dryer. When I asked for her name she refused to tell me and acted like she didn't understand English. The "so-called" manager man is the only some what nice person. The price is cheap for the area but if you want good service and enjoy it that your hard earned money somewhere else. read more

First time here, made an appointment and waited 35 minutes to sit w a tech which I would of got over except once I sat the tech tending to my nails continuously stopped to answer phone calls, and one lady made a deal about her making a 10 am appointment and still had to wait 40 minutes before she started her pedicure, and did not want feel she should have to wait for the tech who was doing my nails to get to her nails after mine. He ended up stopping my nails for the 7th time without word and went to tend to her fresh set! I had been In his chair for an hour at this point so I left 5 bucks bc I'm a good person. And left . I gave J Nails a positive review a month ago in a show of support for a very modest but fairly priced place that hadn't done me wrong. I've been going there here and there in the 10 months since I moved to the area.. mani-pedi is basic and sometimes neater than others- depends who you get. I see two guys working there often. One is super friendly and does decent work. I got the other one yesterday. He gave me what was honestly the shittiest mani-pedi I've ever had. The paint job looks like a blind 5-year old did it. All my cuticles are still there and grown in, fingers and toes, which amazes me because he spent a good amount of time violently ripping at them. So the edges are horribly sloppy too. One of my big toenails actually chipped today.. that's never happened in my life. On top of this, I rate his customer service negative two stars. He was not friendly. Listen- I don't go there for the hand "massage", and I don't expect anything of it, but this was the weakest, shittiest hand/foot care I've ever gotten. The best part was being left for dead at the drying station with the heel wraps and toe parters he left on me and having to remove them myself after realizing he wasn't coming back. I know I sound bitchy here, but I assure you I was quiet, polite, and very sweet to him yesterday. Even tipped generously before he started my manicure to try to change his attitude. I will not be going back no matter how cheap and convenient it is. Not worth the time or money. read more
