Start off by saying we only stayed here because EVERYWHERE else was fully booked. Pulled in here on Friday and the place looks ok. Spaces are extremely narrow. We were able to fit a 40 foot 5th wheel but dont have room when you get out of your rig. NARROW spaces. Manager of the park told us since we are staying for extended days she would get us a almost corner space and not park someone next to us to give us room to open our awning. First day was ok. But 3pm today manager tells us we need to put up our awning, move all of our chairs, and tables, etc. She was parking another motorhome next to us. Would not be an issue if the park was packed but this place is empty. There is empty spaces everywhere. When we asked the manager why they couldn't be put somewhere else she ignored us. What a nice park to spend time in, and it's right behind a FABULOUS bakery that serves a great breakfast. And then there are all the wonderful experiences in the neighborhood. You've got the Bristlecone Pines, the mountain hikes for as long as you can go....and don't forget that you need to walk back just as far as you went out. This park has nice, relatively flat sites that are a little tight, but not at all cramped, and the owners take real pride in their facilities. While we were there they were doing a great job repairing some of the cracks in the asphalt to prevent damage to the visiting RVs. There's a quaint stream running along the front of the property and a "waterfall" of sorts at one end of the campground. Mature trees shade most of the sites so you have protection from the heat of a summer day. The staff are kind and generous and take care to listen to your questions and needs, so that you get the information you want from them. We will be back on our next trip up the 395! read more

Pulling into a Mobile Ranch is different than a RV park. There are travelers as well as full-time residents. We pulled into our first mobile ranch at the J Diamond in Bishop and were a little cautious at the start. Units that look like they've been there for a super long time and are dilipated can cause concern. I'm not sure why it caused concerned but it did. Now that we are here we love it. The place is super quite and all the neighbors are friendly. What is the old saying DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER. Well I will not do that again. Nice RV park in the middle of town. Verrrry quiet, except for the laughing ducks in the stream that flows through.(Not a negative). Right behind Schat's Bakery and within walking distance to Bishop Bowl and Grill where they have a great restaurant. Not too many RV spaces so book early. Hostess is absolutely wonderful and friendly. Next time would like to stay more than one night. read more

We reserved our stay at this park based on Yelp reviews. We loved it.. full hook ups, clean bathroom and shower area. Lots of shade for the warm summer days. We liked lot 11. It was at the end and it was in the shade most of the day. The park was quiet. The managers were really kind. They helped us park and showed us around. The camping fee is pretty fair. The park is close to a bowling alley and to schatts. Can't go wrong at this RV Park. read more

Quaint RV park located directly in the heart of Bishop. Walking distance to grocery stores, public pool, and most importantly, the bakery! Spaces are a little small, but since we only have a 22' trailer, it fits us just fine. Larger rigs might set right up against your neighbor. We stayed a week and were surprised how many open spaces they had each night, even thru the holiday weekend. Their prices are superb! My guess is that the secret is not out about this place, as it is tucked in behind the tourist-trap bakery. We like this place way better than those "parking lot style" campgrounds. The residents that live there "full time" are very friendly. The managers are wonderful, too. Each spot has its own picnic table and small cement pad. There is a creek that runs directly thru the middle of the campground, which hosts a few resident ducks (kids can buy old bread from the bakery for like a buck). Lots of tall trees provide great shade throughout the day. The restrooms and showers were always clean, which was very much appreciated. The laundromat dryers left a little to be desired, as we ran some clothes thru 2 cycles and still found them slightly damp. To recap: small sites, quiet and friendly, centrally located, great for long stays or one-nighters, clean, and reasonably priced. read more

J diamond rv park was a very centrally located in the heart of Bishop. It sits behind the world famous Schatts bread company. I want with my rv the park has lots of trees, and is secluded enough the kids could ride bikes and play in the stream with the ducks. The only reason it's not five stars is because the sites are very close to each other but there are out her sites that we're quite large. I imagine if it was not a Holliday the park would be quite roomy. There is a central shower locked by a key you receive upon checkin they were clean for a public bath/shower. I would go back in the future. read more

Staff is great, the RV park is dreadful. Avoid this at all costs. The full time residents are sketchy, we stayed locked in our RV. The cable didn't work the facilities are delapidated, not clean and spaces are dirt and uneven. Dogs barked all night. I would really question these other reviews! The pictures look nice but go elsewhere!! Again the staff were good, they tried to resolve the issues but they were limited as to what they could do. No refund sign in the office, ugh. read more

Smaller quiet RV/Mobilehome Park. Off the main road behind Schatz Bakery. Been staying with then for the past 20 years....we love it!!! you can get up and go to the bakery if you want bring it right back home and enjoy it. j diamond is so centrally located in town that it makes it super easy to walk just about anywhere you want to go if you like to walk....it is right across the street from the park with the pool and water slide when you stay in the summertime.... i love it because it is so quite and there is no noice from the traffic....there are very nice restrooms if you would rather use theirs, they have a very nice little laundry for doing you in-between laundry while on your vacation....it is a wonderful place to stay...the bishop creek runs right thru the middle of the park with little ducks playing the in creek...sometimes we have been there and there are even babies.... it is just a wonderful quiet place to be!! read more

This is our second time staying here and we've enjoyed it both times. It's kind of hidden right next to the Bakery. To me the feel of the place was something of the bygone 50's era. The staff was very kind and accommodating. There's a stream with ducks that walk around like they own the place. Showers do not need coins, and are clean but a little old. This place is walking distance from town but so quiet. Just a little note the RV spaces are a little narrow but very clean and well kept. I love this place! read more

This is our second time staying here and we will be back. The people are very nice, Randy and Sandy and Bill were all helpful and gracious. We stayed close to the little creek with the flock of ducks; nothing like waking up surrounded by ducks in the morning, especially in the middle of town. Some of the best restaurants are within walking distance which also makes it appealing. My only glitch was the spaces are butt to end; very snug. But saving that are the beautiful old trees throughout the RV park. Trees aren't always easy to find in the middle of town or the high desert. And, it certainly beats the other nearby choices for parking our AS. Showers and laundry are also convenient within the park. We'll be back. read more

Traveling in a truck camper, we are usually suspicious of the typical RV parks, especially those that happen to be located in the center of a town. But Joe at the visitor's center in Bishop had good reports about J. Diamond Mobile Ranch. And the fact that it was right behind the extraordinary Schat's Bakery was a plus. We decided to give it a try. We were met by Bill upon our arrival, who was very pleasant and accommodating. We were shown to a modest site right behind the fence near the bakery which was convenient. The restrooms were good and being able to walk into town was nice as well. Had it not been for a disgruntled full-time camper in the site across from us for intruding in his space, I would have awarded 5 stars. read more

The owners are terrific!! We came in after dark and they actually walked in front of our rig with flashlights to guide us to our spot. Because we were so long they had to put us in a spot for a bus with 50amp. Our RV Trailer was a 30amp and so they gave us the adapter to use over night. To me that is above and beyond! They helped us get stabilized and visited until we were hooked up and ready. I would definitely recommend this RV Park to anyone in the Bishop area. read more

Found this little gem after looking everywhere on a weekend, and everyone was booked! We were exhausted coming from a long trip, so I checked one more time and saw this place. At first I thought it was only for mobile homes, but then I saw "RV", so I called and they had a spot with full hookups! The place is a hidden gem, it may not be as fancy, the spaces are a bit tight, but they are friendly, clean, and right in the middle of the town, next door to Erick Schat's Bakery! And in walking distance to restaurants. Yes, they have mobile homes, but they are in the back and the people were very nice, and respectful. The only con I can say, was that there is a problem with ants, which were crawling everywhere. Other than that, we will definitively book here again on our next trip to the Eastern Sierras. read more

What a great RV park to stay in! It is centrally located in town.......so you can walk to the local shops. The laundry room, bathrooms, and showers are very clean with lots of hot water! We didn't actually stay here...we were in town trying to find a place for a couple of months. We were told that this is a 55 and older community, were told this when she found out we have a one year old. Still haven't found anywhere it states this. Found a better place anyhow, wouldn't stay there now if you paid me. read more

I love this place.. spaces are a little small but everyone is so friendly.. kid friendly dog friendly and always willing to help.. there is a swimming pool and kids skate park across the street and my kids love it .. they have full hook ups ,shower facilities and washing machines.. we left boulder creek because people were so rude to my grandkids when using the pool,no splashing no cannon balls . Great little rv park. 4 stars only because full timers. Bathrooms older but very well kept and showers were excellent. Interacted with Sandy and Randy...very helpful in getting us in on short notice. What a delightful find. The hosts are very nice & guided us into our space. Lots of trees & there's a little stream with lots of (very hungry) ducks. We drive through Bishop frequently & didn't know about this place until our latest visit to Schat's bakery & I saw it right next door (very convenient).
