Pool is refreshing and clean! Couple lanes for laps and open free swimming

What a great find. We spent a full day in the October sun, and enjoyed the clean sparkling pool and hot bath! This place is like taking a step back in time, charming in its own way. Clean water and clean facilities. Great friendly staff, adequate snack bar, think popcorn machine, chips, sodas and hotdogs with a little grill. Take a towel and enjoy the day.

The city pool was closed so we came here. It was a great decision. This place is nice and chill and a fun place to swim. It's a no frills place but it's great. They have a snack bar and gift shop. Will 10/10 come back.

Credits given to a clean facility, friendly staff, and a fair soaking price. Came on a Wednesday around noon and spent a few hours soaking, lounging, soaking again, and even getting some light exercise in! "Crowd" ranged from 10 - 17 people, including kids/infants, so not crowded at all and people were respectful of social distancing. A few people wearing masks. Not surprising for outdoor venue. Previous review mentioned the showers are not free, but they do have 2 next to the pools for free, required "quick rinse only" (prior to getting in a MUST) which was fine for us. Pool does not have sulphuric smell I'm accustomed too, so when we'd had our fill, we quick rinsed, dried off, then back into street clothes for the drive back to our motel to shower before dinner. Another reviewer noted that they have everything you need to enjoy the pools, towels, floaters and noodles, etc., but forgot to mention all are available for a rental fee. They do provide hangers and baskets in the changing room for complimentary use, but most people just brought a day bag to keep their items at a table or lounge chair with them. There is a locker, but bring your own lock. And your own towels, if you don't want to rent. $5 deposit/towel, you get $3 back when you return the towel. Noodles are listed at $3 rental, as of 12/1/21 Snack bar made a very good chocolate shake! No outside food is allowed, but you're allowed to picnic on the grounds. We left the lunch cooler in the car and we're allowed to go out and picnic at the tables on the park like grounds, which was perfect, then come back in to the pools. I noticed one guy had, what had to be a 32oz bottle, of juice. Don't know if he bought it there, but others had personal metal water bottles and it didn't seem to be an issue. Plenty of free parking in dirt/gravel lot.

Wow, perfect after long day of snowboarding this place is!!! Natural hot spring water sprouting onto you felt great. Showers and bathroom amenities were also available and clean, plenty of lounging chairs also available. The place is divided into swim pool and soaking hot temperature area but don't expect jacuzzi jets because this is as natural as you can get. So enjoy the OG feel and soak it all in!!

Well maintained considering it's history and age. Definitely cleaner than the Hot Mineral/Springs facilities in Palm Springs/Desert area. Diverse group of all ages visiting this place. The large pool (8ft Deep) has body temp warm water and the smaller pool (2-3ft Deep) is nice and hot. Don't worry if you forget your towel (Towel Rental for $5). Closes at 6pm everyday (Closed on Tuesdays). NIce green grassy picnic area outside with tables. All had a great time!

If you like mineral hot springs this is a quaint place to visit. The Bishop/ Mammoth area has lots of natural hot springs but it's often a total schlep and hit or miss as to how crowded and how nekkid everyone will be. This hot springs is family friendly and the vibe is vintage California circa 1950s or 1960's. It's a simple laid back place with a regular pool (with mineral water piped in from above) and a two foot deep hot spa area to the side (about 15x15?) There's like a basic cafe here with soft drinks and snacks and junk food (nachos, etc). You can't bring outside food but we didn't have a problem bringing in our hydroflasks with water and I had a Starbucks no one gave me grief over. Outside you can grill and pic-nic and there is a camp ground. We stayed in Bishop which is about ten minutes away.

My review is only about the pool My husband is the one who found this place. Keough is a gem in so many ways. Has a couple kinks to it, but I'll give you pointers. Our GPS was a complete idiot and didn't know the road to turn on, so make sure if you go here, know it's all the way down towards the mountain. Park your car, head in and pay the nice employee $12 (2019 prices) per person. They sell bottled water, ice cream, and other snacks. Outside food is not allowed. There is a quaint gift shop across the way. Tables and chairs to eat on. What is asked of you is that you shower before you enter the pools. They don't have chlorine in the water, it's pure hot springs H2O. My hair and skin felt so soft after going here. You'll need to bring all your essentials, swimsuit, bag, shower items, towel, and a bag for your wet swimsuit. The women's room has individual changing rooms with curtains. And the bathroom also has curtains, make sure you hold that curtain or put something warning someone that you're in there, a lady opened my curtain while I was going pee, and she screamed as if she saw a murder. My husband said the men's room doesn't have any doors or curtains in their bathroom, so I suggested to him that he place a towel over the area to show it's in use. Think I did see some lockers in a corner, don't know if they work, this place is old. People are paying customers, but if you are leary, don't bring tons of money or valuable. The pools. Largest pool is 90* hot and the smaller pool is 101*. Both are amazing and just what we needed to rest our bones after hiking around. We spent about 2 hours here playing in the water. One of our favorite features is this rainfall simulator pouring over 1/3 of the pool. Certain parts feel warmer than the next and like a massage on your back. So good! If you are in the area, make time for this wonderful gem.

We parked in front of the Visitor Center and went on the Discovery Trail. It took us an hour to complete. We started on the right side of the loop, and I was just gasping for air. We saw the beautiful Bristlecone trees on the trail. As we continued on to the left side of the loop, we had to walk on the big red rocks. That part was not enjoyable at all as we had to be careful not to trip. However, the views were so wonderful. It's a clear trail, so there is no getting lost.

It's already a little slushy near the Schulman Visitor center, but beyond that, it's deeper, messier, and just not possible without an offroading vehicle. And even that might be a little dicey. So you might make it as far as the visitor center until it snows again, but it is now closed for the winter. A few other things to note: the elevation will make you THIRSTY. Bring more water than you normally would. And a hat/sunscreen, because the sun is more intense up here! Lastly, it takes a little *more* than an hour to get as far as the visitor center but is absolutely worth the drive!

Hello everyone! we went to Four Jeffery again this year. The last week in July and what great time…read more The weather was hot during the day and cool at night. The fishing was great! South lake was not so good. Maybe because the lake has been drained by SCE it is so low that it was just to warm to fish. However, everything else was good. The creek fishing was almost like cheating. Throw in and out comes a fish, really great. No generators to deal with this trip. The camp across from us did turn on a generator but turned it off when they finished using it. Much appreciated. I decided to take a hike this year up to Blue Lake, about 3 miles above Lake Sabrina on the John Muir Trail. The hike is great! your climbing up a thousand feet however and that's the drawback but its worth the hike. Really a spectacular ending to the hike when you reach Blue Lake. We didn't fish this trip we wanted to get a feel for the hike before we carried our gear to fish the lake. We saw Brown Trout the size of hatchery trout in the lake. We are definitely going back next year. I will relegate this review to the hike to Blue Lake as you can read my other reviews which there is not much to add other than the campground is starting to get "known" lots of campers this time. I had to advise campers who were fishing at the creek behind our campsite to go around and not bring the dog and family through my campsite to get to the road. The hike on the John Muir Trail is good but not easy. The whole trail has been improved. the forest service has improved the trail with stepping stones and stone stairs. No problem staying on the trail. We met a lot of hikers coming both ways. I was kind of surprised to see people going up the trail late in the afternoon. The trail takes about 3 hours to get to Blue Lake and about 2 hours to get back to the trail head. Most of the people had not been on the trail before. I hope they brought some flashlights. Blue Lake is beautiful. When you get there you feel like you are the only person there and you are. The water is pristine, calm and crystal clear. I am very happy I made the hike with my son. Its an adventure we will remember for the rest of our lives. Its Gods country up there. Just immaculate! You are allowed to take the dog on the trail which we did. He pulled me along about half way up the trail. Then I had to encourage him the rest of the way. We took many breaks and ate lunch at one of the waterfalls on the trail. I took the lead as I am not in the best of shape and my son followed behind. I think my son could out run a mountain goat as he is in the best of shape, I kept him the back following behind just in case i had a heart attack. But we made it even though I huffed and puffed the whole way up. The altitude is from 9000 feet at the trail head and you climb to10000 feet, so acclimate before you decide to hike. We did and I was better off for it my son the stud probably didn't need to but he was a good guy and was patient. The camping trip was great again and I had a great time. No bears and the rodents were less than I had seen in the past. It did shower in the afternoon for a couple of days. Good food and great company and a another unforgettable family experience! Now, this comment is for those who do not camp regularly. Do not cross through another campers campsite. It is not only rude, you may be attacked by the campsite dog. Walk around. There is always a way around a campsite. Keep your dog on a leash. I had a big brown dog come into my campsite twice. At which point I had to ask the camp host to advise the campers to control their dog. Dogs are one of Gods greatest gifts, but keep them out of other campers campsites. If my dog had seen that brown dog he would have tried to protect us. And that would have been anything but good. Okay, Four Jeffery is a jewel in the Eastern Sierras. Always a great time and the fishing has never been disappointing. Hope this helps you with planning your next trip. Happy Camping from the Master Camper!

Rolling through green meadows, conifer forests, and rocky outcrops, the trail rises by gradual degrees up the valley of Shadow Creek in view of Volcanic Ridge, to the left (south). Some stretches have been finessed through rocky benches by the vigorous application of picks, shovels, and maybe a surgical stick or two of dynamite. I was told that between the split off from the JMT to go towards Garnet and Lake Ediza there was a piece of Heaven on Earth. Truly the scenery was enlightening. Shadow creek was booming (even in this drought). Like all the high elevation lakes it's quite a trek to get there but the payoff is well worth the pain. When we arrived there wasn't too many good camping spots. We had to go around the lake towards the southwest section and camped a little off the trail. If we had just gone a bit further crossing a small creek to the "island" we would have found an even better spot by the beach area under the cover of some trees. My advice: Get there early and grab a good spot. As beautiful as Lake Ediza is it can get busy. Not Thousand Island Lakes busy, but busy nonetheless.

We originally headed down to lower Intake 2, those sites were nestled right next to the river, but we found another one at upper intake that was well shaded and it was more secluded. We later found out there was also an easy access to the river over the hill for shower rinsing needs. The cost was $24.00 a night and $7.00 extra flat fee for an extra car coming out to $55.00 for two nights. The paid parking area only fit about 4-5 cars at best or else you'll have to try your luck at the first come, first serve parking lot (that's right next to paid parking lot). There were two restroom buildings, the farther one was vaulted (no sink) and had recycling bins right outside. The one closer to our site had running water (had a sink and drinking water fountain) and flushable toilets. For a first timer camper, I definitely really liked this campsite a lot, it was close to the hiking trails that we wanted to do as well.
