No notice was provided prior to arriving and it was clear that this was a big job planned well in advance...helicopter used for lifts and a dozen trucks and 2 cranes. Power was out from 7 am to 8 pm. Had we had notice we would have brought a generator but with full hookups we don't do that. At check in nothing was said. The day the power was turned off, We realized all the camp water was supplied by pumps and was not tied to the back up generator, so we're were out of water and again with full hookups we expected water. No water means no dishes, no toilets, no washing hands, etc. Had they said on arrival water and electric was planned to be out, please fill your holding tanks the day before, this all could have been avoided. Upon communicating with the owners it was said "it was posed on the outside door"...so I looked at it, and it only said power would be out. Nothing about the water and there are a lot of things on the windows and doors. I would have expedited that to be shared upon check in and the runs down of the park setup and rules. Great camp and has been for 45 years or more. Poor planning and communication from the owners and staff.

And his wife alongside him as well as their little Frenchie Nala! A very dog friendly RV park too! Nando is Super friendly and attentive! Truly desires the guests to be happy and goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are met! They have a new spa area, 2 beautiful 1 person bathrooms w/shower, a comfortable community clubhouse with couch, chairs huge tv, coffee, creamers, milk, seltzers-all complimentary! Each site has newer firepits and they sell firewood... small, tidy, perfect!! While there's a long list of rules, the park is so chill - not uptight like so many others. It's all about common sense and courtesy... Also, just a five minute walk to the Local Scoop ice cream, the Deli, the general store and June Lake Brewing, where you'll find the La Parrilla food truck, which is amazing! There are a couple other restaurants as well, but most of them are closed Sunday through Tuesday, which is a bummer. None are dog friendly unless a service animal (but not the general store or the balanced rock cantina restaurant-no dogs PERIOD) June Lake Marina offers boat rentals but Gull lake is a little cheaper and much prettier! We checked out a couple other rv campgrounds and this one by far exceeds them all! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! No need to go anywhere else!

Went to plug in my Nema 1450 Shore power cord and the pedal outlet was melted. Let the check in lady girl know and quickly two maintenance guys came out for a look see. I told them exactly what needed to be replaced and the part name. The younger one said he will call an electrician to come take a look. I said, tell him to bring a Nema 1450 outlet and replace it, as it's nothing to look at but just replace it already. Now mind you we are already set up and can't plug in safely. They "called the owner" and said the electrician can come tomorrow and that's just not gonna work for me. I asked where is the closest hardware store and again the younger one said "it's probably closed" he's not helpful and he's a minimum effort kinda guy. I called ace hardware and they are open for another 1-2 hrs. Had the counter make sure the part is in and had it ready for pick up. The older one tried to put it in, not having any experience with this type of electrical work. I ended doing it for him as I'm a 30+ year electrician. I may have saved his life - . This park is located right next to the highway which has very little traffic. During the day, occasionally an ATV or dirt bike goes by but since this is rural Nevada, this is expected. ATV's are an essential form of transportation around here. Making reservations was a breeze and the owner Linda could not be more helpful. True pride of ownership, she and here staff are great. We easily pulled in with our 30ft bumper pull to a relatively level dirt space. The park is dirt so bring a mat/flooring to throw down at the door of your Rig. Our friends stayed in Site 24 with their giant ++40ft 5th wheel and they maneuvered into their site with little effort. These sites were 30amp but with the mild temps and trees throughout the park, we didn't need our A/C. We stayed 3 nights and the prices were very reasonable. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is a great spot. Do some research, buy some maps, and do some exploring around Fish Lake Valley. There is so much to see. Or, pull up a comfortable chair and relax in the campground. Either way, you can't go wrong.

It's literally across from the fishing area, picnic area, farthest from the traffic and road noise. The water has a fountain and ongoing movement of water, perhaps that's why it seems more natural looking vs stagnant and gross. Most of this area and the opposite side of the river is undeveloped so it has a nature feel that most campsites I've been to don't give. And I've been to lots of them. My Hubby and sons caught like 7, 8, and 20 fish they said. All catch and release. Tons of catfish & bass. Some are so huge. Keep staring at the water near the small metal dock there and you might see them all. We are in site 122. The road noise woke me up at 6am, so I put in my earplugs and slept until 9am. For my future self, make sure to keep a permanent earplug stash in the RV. Other times I've been in other sites and the noise wasn't an issue and we've stayed here at least 3-4x. It's not glamorous, it doesn't have a ton of extra like a pool, putting greens, pool table, snack bar, etc. But it does have a small, shaded kids play area, volleyball net, basketball hoop, shaded picnic tables. It's so country feeling and relaxing. Its quiet & thats what I prefer when I go camping. This is one of my favorite camping spots in the cooler months of early Spring like March. One day I'd like to come here & camp on my way to Yosemite or Kings Canyon. Great rates & highly suggest.
