We stayed here at least 4 times so far. Note to my future self, only stay in the river/pond front sites like 140s. It's literally across from the fishing area, picnic area, farthest from the traffic and road noise. The water has a fountain and ongoing movement of water, perhaps that's why it seems more natural looking vs stagnant and gross. Most of this area and the opposite side of the river is undeveloped so it has a nature feel that most campsites I've been to don't give. And I've been to lots of them. My Hubby and sons caught like 7, 8, and 20 fish they said. All catch and release. Tons of catfish & bass. Some are so huge. Keep staring at the water near the small metal dock there and you might see them all. We are in site 122. The road noise woke me up at 6am, so I put in my earplugs and slept until 9am. For my future self, make sure to keep a permanent earplug stash in the RV. Other times I've been in other sites and the noise wasn't an issue and we've stayed here at least 3-4x. It's not glamorous, it doesn't have a ton of extra like a pool, putting greens, pool table, snack bar, etc. But it does have a small, shaded kids play area, volleyball net, basketball hoop, shaded picnic tables. It's so country feeling and relaxing. Its quiet & thats what I prefer when I go camping. This is one of my favorite camping spots in the cooler months of early Spring like March. One day I'd like to come here & camp on my way to Yosemite or Kings Canyon. Great rates & highly suggest. read more

We have been staying at this beautiful park for a couple months now and absolutely LOVE it here. If you are looking for a quiet RV park, this is the park to visit. The on-site management Petra and Denny are super friendly and are available to answer any questions. They have very clean bathrooms and showers as well as a nice laundry room. There is a really nice playground with basketball court. As well as a few other yard games. Again if you want a nice and quiet RV park, you must try this one. read more

Our overall stay was "okay". The RV lot itself is a good size, my family and I got one of the bigger sized ones as it was our first time here and wanted to ensure we were comfortable and had enough space to easily go in and out . The area is well kept and clean with exception of the public restrooms, those were horrible. The river is not too far out, however not very easily accessible (specially if you have little ones or are carrying anything). You'll have better luck going to the park across the river to be able to actually go in comfortably. There are little walkways around to walk that need some attention but you can get by. I will say that the management here is nonexistent for 90% of the time, but that remaining percentage is not good. We didn't really hear or see anyone until the check out date. It was some random guy in a truck telling us through the window that we "should have left already" because there next guest were already there. Not once did he ask if there had been different plans or even acknowledged us. I proceeded to tell him that we had followed the website's instructions and had also sent them a message telling them we would be extending our check out time to a later time during the day as we didn't want to be rushed, we did all for his over 1 day in advance... He ended up rushing us anyway. He then proceeded to talk about us on his phone and then to the family waiting. Seems like poor management on his/their end. I wouldn't return just based on this interaction. read more

Mow the lawn please please! We could not use the dog park without walking through the tall wet grass. Yesterday someone mowed dog park lawn, but did not mow a path from road to dog park gate. We have small dogs who didn't want to navigate the tall grass. For $100 a night this is not a resort by any means. Gravel the length of the sites please. Muddy. Corn hole boards...throw them away. Have trash cans at that end of park that you can throw garbage in. Trash can by crappy corn hole boards, useless for trash. You are over priced for what is offered. You are a $65 to $70 a night. However,because of location for us, and easy check in you got a 3.. Dog turds and cigarette butts were a turn off. You have 2 hours to clean the sites. That isn't done. Poor maintenance. Husband said bathroom was decent. You want to see $100 a night for true rv resort, check out Yosemite RV Park and Resort. read more

We love Riverbend RV Park. We have been staying here for a year. The management team Denny and Petra are excellent. They are very helpful and always available if you need anything. The park has a great dog park and a nice trail to walk along the Kings River. It's in a great location, close to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. We highly recommend this park. read more

There are no fire pits at the sites, and the communal one was taken (to someone's own site - not occupied) the one night we lugged all of our chairs and wood over to have a fire. The office was closed our entire visit so we were unable to even mention anything to management. 3 day weekend and no one in the office? Strange. read more

The management at the Riverbend RV Park, located on 17604 E. Kings Canyon Rd. Sanger, CA. 93657, are by far the worst management team I have ever come in contact with. I will never return to that god awful place. They were so rude, bossy and unaccommodating. They completely ruined my weekend with my family that I haven't seen in years! Me and my husband planned ahead and came to check this place out before staying here for a work project and miss Petra and Denny go above and beyond to help. He had showed us around and let us know our spot ahead of time making it super easy for when we did arrive and even held the spot for when we arrived as we arrived a bit later than expected. So I'd say, Super friendly management that goes above and beyond, clean and beautiful grassy areas, cute little dog park, outdoor games and nice park/ area for kids to play. I also enjoy using the laundry room for bigger loads as rv washers are a bit smaller. Aside from there being some fire ants and some trees but will probably nice for shade from the sun, I have no complaints and I'm glad I found this gem while here in the Fresno ish area, it's a bit hard. Coming from the cold, I am enjoying the sunshine here it's beautiful, would totally recommend to other friends and Individuals. read more

A very nice countryside campground right off the 180 between Fresno and Kings Canyon. We had site 120 which is creekside and very pleasant. No trees overhead which is our choice to minimize cleanup on the RV. We were here in March 2022 and the creek was full of croaking frogs and a pair of beavers swam through the stream every night. Make sure you bring LOTS of bug spray! And if you do get bitten, have the Bug Bite Thing at the ready! I give it 4 instead of 5 stars for two things. One is that the sites are not paved so be careful your RV doesn't sink into the ground. It was impossible to get completely level, even using The Big Toe system with blocks underneath them. Also there is the constant Highway sound. You are about 30 min from Fresno/Clovis and it's nice to get that country / nature feeling after a day of sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again. Didn't check out the bathrooms as we have our own, and the on-site management was very helpful and nice. read more

My family stayed here for a week while checking out the local area (Shaver Lake, Yosemite, Sequoia/Kings Canyon). Not expecting a heat wave, I booked a 30 amp spot (and could only run 1 AC in a 38 foot trailer). On our second day the maintenance crew checked in on us to make sure we were OK in the heat with the 30 amp spot. We were dying!! The maintenance crew and the manager Mark were very kind and moved us to a shaded 50 amp spot. This impressed us immensely and proves they go above and beyond for their guests. The camp ground is small, but packs a punch with activities including: a playground, bocce ball, horse shoes, pond, creek, fishing, and basketball hoop. The Internet was enough to cover our needs and we were able to stream movies. If your looking for a country feel park that is close to a lot of attractions I would recommend you stay here. read more

Pros= Nature, sound of frogs at night, fire pit, quiet. Cons= Internet sucks, bathrooms and showers are less then impressive to say the least, no hot water. Luckily we were in a motor home and were able to shower in our RV. Overall we probably wouldn't come back here because the amenities sucked. It's getting 3 stars because the staff is nice and the nature at night is awesome. Changing my review to a 4 star just because management was willing to address some of the complaints we had addressed. If those complaints were fixed we would gladly probably return because we did enjoy the nature out here. read more

We got a nice spot along the creek. It was a quiet and peaceful time. But be sure to bring bug spray as the bugs do come out (more so some days then others). The bathrooms were closed due to Covid. The owner/host was very nice and responsive. There is a nice dog park and fishing pond. Hook ups worked well. Some of the spots are much smaller than others. Stuff was really nice and did help us a lot! We came too late and office was closed so we dropped payment through the mail hole in a door. Then we figured out that there were no fire pits so we decided to take payment back and find another camp. We've noticed someone was cleaning bathroom so I asked if he could help us to get a payment back. But instead, he got us a fire pit from his friend who lives close by. Highly recommend! This was our first trip to Riverbend RV Park. It's a beautiful park. We initially reserved a spot close to the pond that backed up to the creek. Our spot was moved to a pull through that didn't back up to the creek and was away from the pond. Riverbend is right next to the highway, the spot we had didn't have any buffering of the highway noise. I think had we been in a spot a row or two over, it would have helped muffle some of the traffic noise. The park is well maintained. The bathrooms are dated but clean. The pond is well stocked and fun to fish. You can walk right up to the Kings River through the park. All in all a very nice weekend. read more

We had to vacate Yosemite Valley due to the Ferguson fire and found this little gem just outside of Fresno. The hospitality provided by both Connie and Mark was second to none. We were able to book 4 sites with full hookups which was a big plus. We arrived after business hours and we received a very warm welcome by Mark. The next morning Connie welcomed us with gift bags which was awesome. Mark brought us a fire pit and freshly pick watermelons which were delicious. The Kings River was a short walk from the campsite which was a plus. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. The campground was very nice and exhibited pride of ownership. We had a fabulous trip to Riverbend RV park. The office staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Besides the fantastic location, it offers beautiful walking trails, a stocked lake for fishing and our dogs ran their hearts out at the dog park on-site. We stayed this past weekend and had a blast! The park has plenty to do for kids and it's a super relaxing place for adults. It was extremely quiet - not sure if the campers here are always that quiet, or just this past weekend though. We stayed here last month. Beautiful place and close to Sequoia National Park. The owners were very friendly, no contact check in. The park was relatively quiet...best sleep I ever had camping. I love that you park on the grass and not concrete. Spaces were easy to get in and out. Nice play areas for kids. You can see sometimes deer and muskrats along the creek. Beware ants and mosquitoes are thriving everywhere in 2020! LOL. Pants and citronella candles didn't help. Overall, I would stay here again. read more

Our first time at this Rv park. We booked site #22 river view. The site was nice but I think it's the only site with so much sand, just and FYI if you are not a fan of sand in you rig. Also, I am not sure if I just over looked on the website or if it's not list but all even # sites have hookups on passenger side and odd # sites have hookups on driver side. We made it work without being able to hookup to sewer, we were only there for 2 night so not a problem. It's a pretty quiet camp ground which is nice. We will definitely come back again. read more

I was in 40' Motorhome and ran into some difficulties and the staff at Riverbend was so kind and accommodating. Not only did they help me with my needs, they would not accept payment of any kind. Really bad RV park. Sites by the river are $50, but so small that extending my awning shadows the neighbors space. There is only ONE shower/bath combo. You just have to wait your turn. Current highway construction, July 2018 is clearly and noisily audible night and day. The river is very strong, and super dangerous for kids and animals. The sites are grass, very uneven, a sure recipe for a twisted ankle or a sprained back. There are 5 picnic tables for everyone... I am super disappointed. I expected a lovely, quiet spot, and it's anything but. It's littered with broken down, derelict mobile homes. Some of them are even occupied! Stay away from this place, it's not worth spending your hard earned money there. read more

Riverbend RV park is a great place to stay. The managers are great and the grounds are clean. Nice and quiet.

First off neither spot were shaded. I was never annoyed about that. But we booked a 50 amp spot and our spot was not 50. Then we were hit with hidden charges for my 3 year old and a extra car even though it all fit in the spot. It was 2.5 hours without power before we arrived. We verified with other campers when power went out. Never once did he come to see if my dog was ok so saying he was in good health is just a flat lie. He was groggy and heat exhausted which is why we needed to leave and find a place with power. If it had been even 20 mins more my dog would not be alive. You know who has pets a phone call should of been made. He said a dog dying is fine with his conscious. We never received a refund. read more

This park really doesn't look like much but it was a great stopping off place to rest for the night and do laundry... although it would have been great if the laundry room would have had a way to pay the machine's with a card or have a quarter machine since I had none... plus get a little laundry soap but oh well I guess you can't have everything. We checked out several parks in the Clovis/Fresno area and this one is the best by far! It's quiet, the spaces are large, and the hosts, Connie and Jerry, are awesome. They are like family and have been very helpful with whatever we need. The goodie bag was a nice surprise and very thoughtful. We have had deer eating apples from the tree right outside our RV. Lots of squirrels and birds and even cranes. We highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a great place to camp. read more

It was lush and green. It's a smaller park so it was very quiet. The park is located at the base of the Sequoias so you get the best of both worlds. My husband, 3 year old son, and myself found this place on Yelp a few weeks ago. I'm so glad we did. I don't typically leave reviews but felt it was needed after reading one of the previous reviews that was very hard on this place. You can tell they have been doing a lot of work to bring this place up from where it was at. From the moment we got there it was relaxing and the lady at the front desk was super sweet. We got a bag of goodies and she gave us a bag of goodies for our dog.. I haven't been to a place that had done that. We were parked by the river, it was beautiful and super relaxing. Of course it was super full which meant no getting in it which was fine because that water was super cold. There was road construction but it wasn't loud and I wouldn't hold the park accountable for that because they can't tell Caltrans where they can and cannot work. The wifi was decent we just used it for my sons tablet but didn't have an issue with it playing youtube and such. Plus we were there to camp.. not be on wifi. The trash bins are around the back of the office building and are not even close to being an eye sore. The spaces aren't huge but they aren't bad size. I highly recommend to the guy that said his awning was overshadowing his neighbor to maybe take some parking classes on how to correctly back in so you don't have that issue in the future. We didn't use the bathrooms at all so I'm not sure what was in there but they do have a basketball area and a nice play area. The only recommendation I would have is to maybe put in firepit rings but they also didn't say we couldn't have a fire. We chose not to because the weather was warm enough! Even being a hot day sitting in the shade with the breeze coming through we could feel the coolness of the water and I cannot express enough how relaxing this was. The spots are grass all around which made it super nice. There is a mobile home park over the bridge on the other side of the river but it wasn't a bother or even a distraction. Overall our experience was wonderful and we will definitely be back!! read more

Very lovely, peaceful RV Park located near Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. This was our 4th time we stayed at Riverbend and it keeps getting better! Lots of shade and several large, pull through spaces. We enjoyed some of the local wineries and spent the afternoon touring old town Clovis (Antique Shops, several restaurants and lots to see!) We took a day trip to Yosemite (the smoke is almost gone from recent fires) had a great time. The summer crowd is gone and we had the park to ourselves, Almost. Riverbend RV Park is a great place to just chill for a few days or use it as a base for your day trips to several near by distinctions! Enjoy! read more

This is a RV Park where they also let you stay a night or two while they rip you off ($35) a night and surround you with long term folks and their animals running around and tarp covered piece of crap ancient campers. There is not ONE thing I can recommend about this place. Want to put out some chairs and sit by a campfire? Not going to happen. No firepits. Want to sit in your campsite and enjoy looking around? Not going to happen (see photo of my next door neighbors blue tarp covered trailer. That was the view from my door). Oh, my neighbor on the other side? Had a dog kennel in their site. Oh wait, did I mention sitting out at the picnic table to eat? Not going to happen. There aren't any. If I could give it zero stars I would. Beautiful campsite outside of Fresno, California -full of beautiful trees and grass with, as the name implies, a river. The manager, Connie, waited after hours for me, treated me like family and even gave me a hug and a gift bag-most welcome after a long drive. My site has all the utilities with plenty of room to park my fifth wheel and my truck. A definite thumbs up. read more

1st impressions not good. Trashy and an uncomfortable setting. We rolled up since it was the only rv park closest to the Kings River before heading up towards the mountains. No one was at the office. A sign said to fill out the envelope...but nothing to fill out. No price. No check out time. Nothing displayed. No plastic. Cash only. Exact change (manager had to get change for the neighbor). Once checked in we were happy. Near the standing pond where lots of birds churped and frogs sung. Bathrooms. Full bathrooms available. Standing shower. Toilet. Sink. BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. oh and also! they close the bathrooms! all afternoon and evening they were closed until I spoke with the manager about keeping them open (since apperantly they didnt have enough keys to lend out)...why close the bathrooms when they don't even offer toilet paper. Overall people and kids were friendly but place was not worth $30/night! read more

We stayed at the park 2 nights. The bathrooms were VERY CLEAN and stocked well with supplies. Walking along the river is wonderful. They have a baby goat now and he is so cute. We met the new owner and he really wants this to be a first class facility, asking us what we like and don't like. He is all about pleasing his customers. They are upgrading seems like every day.
